it's a great place to have a nice meal during this cold weather. it's really cozy in here. i also appreciate the new coat check girl, a nice touch! the risotto is also something special !

Lovely Northern Italian restaurant. Fresh food, decent prices and a welcoming atmosphere. I recommend making a reservation for the weekend otherwise everything is great. The staff is also a big A+

I ran into this place by accident while strolling around Manhattan with my wife and i decided to check it out because i was starving. i tried the Vitello Del Borgo, it was great, i really enjoyed it and i also enjoyed the wine that the waiter picked out for me. it was a bit too crowded so i had to wait a bit for a table but other than that it was a pleasant experience!

I went here with my husband recently and we really enjoyed it. he wrote a review before me and i decided to write one too because it was great. best northern italian place in manhattan. the vibe is great and the food is delicious. we're happy we found this place and will return soon!

i went to the movies with my wife and on the way home we passed this place so we decided to go in and have a bite since there were a couple tables available. we both had cozze della casa. we enjoyed it but my wife said there was too much wine in her portion but other than that it was good. i also liked the wine selection. plus the service was courteous and prompt!

What a treasure Nocello is. My office takes people here all the time and they are always delighted. Try anything! Never had a bad meal here.

My coworker took me to Nocello and since then I have been back four times. The wine selection is great and the atmosphere is so unpretentious. I highly recommend this place!

We went here for the first time and I keep on going back. I love the atmosphere as well as the menu. It is a very european feel and tourists don't crowd it up. It is definitely a neighborhood crowd and I highly recommend it to my friends and friends from out of town for a spot that is relaxed and not swamped with out-of-towners. The food and service are exceptional and the owners are always walking around to say hello - which in NYC is very rare!

Awesome place, the food is amazing and they show you how to pair any dish with wine and beer. Lots of people and it can take forever to get a table so make a reservation. Its popularity speaks for itself, can be expensive but is one of the best restaurants in NYC

I went in last week with my brother and had some food here. The service was just regular - not great, not bad. The waiter actually helped us pick out nice glass of wine. The food...Polo Carretiera was worth every penny!

my husband and i had dinner here recently. we both enjoyed the restaurant and especially the scallops. the wine selection was also good. we both recommend it to others, the atmosphere is delightful !

The best risotto in town. I've had it with mussrooms or with mixed sea food so far. Otherwise this place has friendly and attentive staff and a nice selection of norhtern italian cuisine. It has no bar to sit at but you can get anything you want brought to the table. Nice for a quick lunch or a romantic dinner.

Have been eating here for the last 7 years and did not want to write a review because I wanted to keep this place a secret. Unfortunatelly, it seems that the secret is out, judging by the long line of customers enduring the cold looking for a seat here during theatre time. Your best bet is to show up either on any Monday, or after your Broadway show. Food is out of this world, they have a great wine selection, athmosphere is enjoyable and very relaxed. Waiters have a great knowledge about what's going on in the kitchen but you're not going to see them too much during pre-show dinner. Try the house salad, the baby lamb chops and the wild berry tart to top your meal off. Great stuff at a reasonable price.

Went here with some friends, was pretty happy with the food. The menu is pretty varied, but I noticed that they use spinach in a lot of dishes. I'm not a huge fan of spinach, but found plenty to enjoy. Service is very good.

Cons: Can be a bit pricey, but it's consistent with restaurants of a similar caliber.

From the moment you sit down and the maitre d begins describing teh day's specials, you realized you made a great choice. Every dish is described in suh detail that makes you realize what's happening inside the kitchen. And no matter what you choose, you realized it wasn't only a sales pitch. The food is amazing, gelatto is to die for, the atmosphere is very authentic and the service is superb. Please, don't leave without asking for a sip of Nocello to finish you meal.

Pros: They're open until late, the location can't be topped and there's always a table.

I was there last night. Everything was delicious, especially lamb and risotto.My boyfriend had fettuccini in vodka sauce with lobster and it was absolutely perfect.The wait staff was attentive and nice. I would recommend it to anyone

I have been going to Nocello for the last 8 years. Their food always impresses and their service is amazing. Penne Ala Vodka is unbelievable - best I have ever had! Wine selection and desserts are also notable.

Went during lunch, casual relaxed atmosphere, service was friendly, and everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. They did not offer any low carb options aside from a traditional salad. All of the chicken/fish dishes were covered in sauce or breaded. I would recommend Nocello to pasta lovers - but not for those on Atkins or the South Beach Diet.

This place is fantastic! The staff really makes you feel at home... very personable, attentive, yet not overbearing. I've tried 5 different dishes here, and they've all been tremendous, but the Rigatoni ala Vodka is literally the best pasta dish I've ever had!

My friend and I were walking around after seeing Mama Mia, and stumbled across Nocello. We were delighted with everything! The pasta was really al dente, and the wait staff was attentive and accomadating. It was a perfect end to a wonderful day. I am taking my mother here after our visit to the city. I can't wait to hear her rave! Best of all, for two of us with drinks, the bill was about $100!!!
Talk about incredible. Can't wait to go back

Recently had dinner on a saturday night with party of 7. Everything from making the reservation to birthday desserts to paying the check was a pleasure. Constantino and his entire staff were attentive, warm and friendly. The food was hot, tasty, well prepared and unique in a traditional way. No sundried tomatoes or "out-there" ingredients. Just great food with flair served by nice people. Service was a little "relaxed" but we were not in a rush (they did ask). TRY IT YOU"LL LIKE IT.

Recently we had dinner at Nocello - eight people on a Saturday night and we had no problem with getting a reservation, the atmosphere was lovely, the service was excellent and the food was excellent - all at a very very good overall price. Between the eight of us all had a dinner, some had appetizers, some dessert, some drinks, some wine, some after dinner drinks and cappucino and the bill was around $45.00 per person. Fantastic!!!! We will definitely go back to this wonderful find!!!!!
