I have been using Lexington-Bedford Veterinary for nearly 10 years and I can't say enough good things about the doctors and staff at this animal hospital. The level of care they give to both the animals they treat and the humans that bring their pets in for treatment is matched by none. \nI lost my black lab, Buca, almost 2 years ago at age 13. He received most of his care from LBV, all of which was top notch.\nI currently own a choc lab puppy, Oliver, who has recieved ALL his care from LBV. \n

Few years ago when I didn't know any better, I took my cat to this hospital to have him treated for an infected wound on his forehead. The vet treated his wound but did not clean up the left over blood stains (a lot of it) on his face and instead asking me to do it at home. Then, the pus from infectious wound dripped down my cat's face and goes directly to his eye, because my cat was wearing a collar to prevent him from scratching his wound, and I didn't know any better, so his eye was infected so I had to take him back to the vet to have his eye treated. Ever since then, my cat would occasionally have eye infection on that eye. On top of everything that happened to my cat, his cheek was full of pus, probably because the vet did not do a good job on cleaning up the wound. They never warn me about that nor had set up any reschedule to make sure cat is ok after the operation. It was my first time having a pet and thank god I did notice his cheek is little swollen and warm to the touch, so I took him again to the vet. To add insult to injury, when I got their bill, the price was $200 more than what they had estimated, finally, they admitted that they double charged me on the general anesthesia. 3 years after, I moved out from Lexington area and I found another veterinary hospital in my neighborhood. I took kittycat there for a dental clean, and was surprised about how different it is from lexington-bedford veterinary hospital. This hospital (lexington-bedford Vet Hosp) is really horrible and I would never recommend anyone to go there.

I have owned animals my entire life and have gone to several hospitals in and around the Lexington area. Lexington Bedford Veterinary Hospital is by far the best and in a league of it's own. With it's exceptional service, dedication, and care I will never go anywhere else. I recently took my puppy there to be neutered and everyone was nothing but professional. I would not hesitate to recommend this hospital to anyone including family and friends and this is written by a very fussy reviewer. I've had years of experience caring for both animals and children, and this hospital makes the others all pale in comparison. I will never take my animals anywhere else now that I can see the difference. These people actually care (which is rather refreshing) and want to please their customers both animal and human alike. They even called to check on my baby the next day (Saturday) after his procedure. Conscientious, kind, efficient, and attentive would probably most sum up my experience at Lexington-Bedford Veterinary Hospital. Recommended from the bottom of my heart without reservation.

We took our dog there for a regular check up with bloodwork. They explained to us that if there was any problem, we would be contacted. This is normal procedure with any bloodwork, including heartworm tests.\r\nTWO months after out appointment, they called to see why we hadn't brought our dog in for heartwrom treatment as she had tested positive!!! They claimed they ""called and left a message"" which was a lie as we would have taken her in immediately. It gets better.....The heartworm treatment is a two stage process and out they recommended that the dog stay at the clinic overnight for the second stage in case she had a reaction. When we discovered that no one is actually THERE all night, we chose to take her home. About 11pm, she DID have a severe reaction and we rushed her to Woburn, where she was treated. She would have died if we would have left her at the clininc with NO supervision.\r\nIn the end they offerred NO apologies. Terrible staff and Vets...BEWARE.

I took my dog to the vet for a regular check up and vaccinations. I was surprised by how loving and attentive everyone was to my baby!!! They all fawned over him and were very knowledgable. My dog even felt comfortable with the vet, Dr. Johnston, which was a contrast to how the dog felt about my previous vet!!! The techs and reception staff were wonderful and always greet us by name when we come in the door and are polite on the phone. I reccommend this place to all my friends!
