I have a mobile animal vet. for my 3 dogs however, on this particular day one of my dogs needed a sick visit and my vet was all booked up. Because it was still early enough in the afternoon she suggested I try calling an animal hospital first instead of a 24 hour emergency clinic, to see if they had any openings since my pet needed to be seen and checked out right away. I called Kingston Animal Hospital right away at 3:15 on a Friday afternoon, explained the situation and they told me that they could see me at 4:30! We were greeted right away by their professional and caring staff and Dr. DeMarco saw us immediately. After a few x-rays, medications and instructions we were sent on our way. The bill was A LOT LESS than what I fully expected to pay and I would use them again. I would not hesitate to recommend their services.

Pros: The staff are awesome & costs are very reasonable.

Cons: Crossing traffic when leaving esp. during rush hour.

My mom had been bringing our pets to the Plymouth Animal Hospital for years, but recently after becoming a part of VCA, it has really become just a business, with little regard for the feelings of the pet owners. We took a chance and brought our Min-Pin to Kingston Animal Hospital and saw Dr. Sharon Davis. We sat in the waiting room no longer than 5 minutes before we were called in. She was very friendly and informative. She has a great way of explaining things to us and of interacting with our dog. She brought our little guy out back to the technicians to run some tests and trim his nails. A few minutes later, a technician came out cradling him in his arms as if he were a baby. It is quite obvious that the doctors and staff genuinely love animals. When the test results came back, Dr. Davis called my mom personally to let her know that everything was normal. We have been back twice since, and each time we are met with the same enthusiastic staff and doctors. If you are looking for a small "family-style" verterinary clinic, you may want to try Kingston Animal Hospital.

Cons: Parking lot is a bit small

I have had wonderful experiences at Kingston Animal Hospital! I have 2 dogs and 2 birds that go there and see Dr. Hess and Dr. Claire. One of the dogs, Chelsea, was treated for cancer by Dr. Hess and she was diligent and thorough. I can't say enough about her. She absolutely goes above and beyond and is fabulous! The folks at the front desk, as well as the techs, are friendly, supportive and knowledgeable. Many of them know Chelsea as soon as she walks in. I highly recommend Kingston Animal Hospital!

I moved to Kingston from Walpole in 1987. One of the first things I did was to poll new friends and neighbors about which was the best area vet. The unanimous choice was Kingston Animal Hospital. Over the next 22 years I have become a devoted client! They have taken care of all of my animals, from my golden retriever and beagle to my cats and ferrets (not all at the same time). Each and every visit has left me believing that my pet had received the best medical care in the world. If it was only a matter of medicine, that would be one thing. I have had animals lives literally saved by the good doctors at Kingston Animal Hospital. Not only do my animals get the very best of medical care, but I also receive superb treatment. No test is done without full explanation of why, no pricey procedure is performed without my complete understanding of the procedure and why it is needed. All of the staff, from Dr.'s Ray and Mark Russo and associates right down through technicians and office personnel are caring, informative and professional. Sometimes I wish I were one of my animals just so I could receive the level of care and caring that they do. I owe a lot to the staff at Kingston Animal Hospital and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who asked.

I had a female puggle named Maddie. She was the sweetest dog but she just wasn't right. She was smaller than normal, her breath was awful, and I could never house train her. After going to a few vets I finally found Dr. Emily Clair. I told her about Maddie and she decided to start off by running blood work. She called me the next day (on her day off) and told me the news. My ten month old puppy was born with bad kidneys. She was in renal failure. It was so sad for us because she was the nicest dog with the best temperament. If it was not for Dr. Clair caring for her I really believe that she would not have lived as long as she did. Dr. Clair would always make time to see Maddie if she was sick. There were a Few times Maddie almost didn't make it but Dr. Clair made her better. Maddie passed away yesterday at only 17 months but I can not thank Dr. Clair enough for all that she did.

I took my dog here because it was convenient. After all, he usually only needed his yearly check up and shots. This year I asked that they check his hind leg. He was having trouble with it. I was told it was arthritis and give him a baby aspirin every 12 hours. No x-rays. They insisted I get his teeth cleaned again. I thought he was getting too old and fragile to be put under. I was told, "he's getting old, he's not dying". His pain worsened to the point that he was shaking and crying from the pain. Arthritis? I didn't trust their judgement and went elsewhere. He had a cancerous tumor in the pelvic and hip area, and died a couple of weeks after the diagnosis. I lost my best friend to cancer. My heart is heavy and my home is empty without him. I loved him like a child. He was my baby. He never had arthritis and it was too late to do anything but manage the pain. It shouldn't have happened like this. Kingston Animal hospital spent 5 minutes with my dog and billed me lots of dollars. The other vet literally spent 2 hours and did lots more for a fair fee. I've spoken to groomers and other folks who have had negative experiences with them as well.

After trying three other local vets I found my way to Dr. Russo in Kingston - not the most convenient location for me but such a great doctor - and group of doctors - for my animals! My 2 english setters and my three (now two) cats have been treated with the best care and compassion!

We rescued 2 Boston Terriers, both with endless health issues, and brought them in to see Dr. Hess. I must say that Dr. Hess treats our pets as if they were her own, as does the entire staff at Kingston Animal Hospital. With 4 dogs, 2 cats and a parrot, we wouldn't take our pets to anyone else.

We Have been bringing our dog here for two years and I can't think of another place I would take him. In the past we've been everywhere and unhappy with most places. Our favorite vet is Dr. Clair. She really knows how to handle him. Our dog gets stressed very easy due to former owners, and all the staff there have been very nice and helpful with any questions. Also with his care they are very patient with him. Prices are reasonable. I've been to a lot of other places and paid a lot more and not been as happy. I also have never had a problem getting medicine on line with them.

I've had several pets and have used the KAH for the last 5 years. The vets there as well as the techs are the best in the area. I had vets call me at home to see how my pet was doing after a visit. Everyone there is very pleasant and the hours are convenient.

I have been usiing Kingston Animal Hospital for my ferrets for over a year. They are the best. Dr. Pat Hess continually goes above and beyond the call of duty. Her only interest is a healthy pet.

Message from Kingston Animal Hospital

We are proud of the high quality care we offer. As veterinary medicine is increasingly able to offer high tech solutions to health care, we find it important to also remember the simpler aspects of medicine and healing. We strongly believe that veterinary care can and should be delivered with hospitality, warmth, and concern. As well, we believe in the importance of a kind word and gentle hand in the healing process. We pride ourselves on a long tradition of hospitality, warm bedside manner, and nurturing care.
