We have always had a positive experience taking our furry family members to Lyons Veterinary clinic. Robert Hamilton is always available - we have called with emergencies on the weekend and received a call back within a few hours. Our most recent experience involved our very sick kitty suffering as we found out with renal failure. they had him stay over the weekend to try and stimulate his kidneys with fluids and duratics to no avail when we went in to see him we were allowed to go in back and spend quite a bit of time with him. It was hard to see him with an i.v. and so sick but the staff had given the time and thought to give him a bottle filled with warm water (under a soft towel) it was hard to learn that he was not going to get any better and to have to make tough decisions but it made us feel a little better that during his last little bit of time when he couldn't be at home with us he was warm, comfortable and cared for. When we left in that day - the only discussion of our bill was that it would be discussed later. We received a personalized sympathy card from Dr hamilton a few days later. They care and that makes a big difference. it's sad to lose a pet but it helps that those who helped with his care treated him and cared for him like he was part of their family.
