I have used this place for all of my past and present pets and love them! They are kind, warm, and helpful. Their staff has been there a long time and remember who customers are which is always nice when walking in.\n\nIn response to the last post, the cat being talked about is actually the office cat, Izzy. She was rescued by Dr. Yeomans about eleven years ago and has had full run of the office ever since. Many customers know that she is the office cat and not Mrs. Brown's personal cat. \n\nMany times when the receptionists get phone calls they have to go to the back to the doctors in order to pass along information or ask questions, or look for something. But they are always apologetic when coming up and finding a customer (as I have experienced this personally). I have never had a rude encounter with any of the staff and I especially enjoy the receptionists. \n\nAll staff members work hard to be outstanding and go the extra mile. All my questions are answered and if I forget one and call back they are more than willing to answer it. Their rooms are always clean and the doctors are always focused on what you are saying and on your pet. These are loving people and I would recommend them to anyone.

For the most part, my recent first-time experience with this hospital was good. The receptionists and nurses were accommodating and polite, and the doctor I was assigned seemed informative and professional. However, I encountered a particular receptionist, Leslie Brown, who was both very rude and unprofessional. Fortunately, this was on the follow-up visit to my first appointment, or I would have gotten a very poor impression of the hospital in general, as she was the first person on this day that I encountered. In addition to her rude tone and manner, she had brought and allowed her own cat (that she personally owned) to sit and walk freely out on the front desk of the entire hospital. (In fact, only the cat was there and no receptionists when I came in for a scheduled procedure to be done on my pet.) It is obviously not the best idea to have as an employee one's personal pet sitting in the waiting room where clients'/patient's pets will be coming in and out. If she has indeed been with the hospital since 2001 (and just as an employed adult in general), she should know better. I was very turned off, and her behavior only compounded matters. All things considered, I will likely simply find another animal hospital where the atmosphere and basic courtesy of the staff that I can expect when I am bringing in my pet is more practical and predictable. To be rude while also having your pet wandering freely around a waiting room is rather senseless and does not reflect well on the business that permits this.\nRegarding the procedure itself that my pet needed, the doctor seemed hesitant to tell me more specifically what kind of success rate she

These guys are the best. I have been a client for over 6 years now and have always been happy with the service provided. The clinic is very clean, and the staff are so caring. They have been there to nurse my sick dogs back to health, as well as provided routine care to help keep them healthy. The fact that my dogs can't stop wagging their tails when we are in the clinic says it all!!

They gave my dog an ear medicine (for her yeasty ears) without any warnings, without telling me any warnings or side effects: The MEDICINE MADE HER DEAF in ONE dose. I had to discover online that this is a severe side effect of the medicine Gentamicin. I mean, anitbiotics say in big letters, ""Take with Food"" or ""Avoid Sunlight."" Nada from this vet.\n\nWhen I called to discuss it, I was told that I should have known that all medicines have risks, and that yes, they have had this happen to 4-6 dogs in the past handful of years. So they knew it, they gave it to me anyway, and they didn't tell me a thing anywhere or at anytime about this side effect.

Brookwood Animal Hospital lost A LOT of business today. I have 5 animals and when I called today to schedule an appointment to have my dogs nails clipped, they advised they charge $18 an animal for nail trimming. ABSOLUTELY ABSURD!! I have NEVER paid that much for a nail clipping in my life. When I called to inquire why it was so much, the tech on the phone, Chris, was rude about it so I cancelled my appointment. She said ok and hung up! I do not need a vet that not only overcharges but is rude too! I do not recommend them AT ALL!

The entire staff at BAH is absolutely wonderful! When we moved to Snellville in 2006, they were recommended to us by our good friends. They've always taken wonderful care of our dogs and are extremely professional and caring. When our beautiful 12 yr old black lab Maggie collapsed suddenly, Dr. Yeomans and Dr. Casey were right there for us. Unfortunately, Maggie had internal bleeding and we had to put her down. They waited for us to get the kids to the office so we could all say goodbye and were so compassionate. Everyone, including the staff, cried as we said goodbye to our beloved girl. Their support was truly appreciated.

We soon got an 8 month old chocolate lab, Bailey, who loves to cruise the kitchen counters. He ate 3 lbs. of green grapes on a Sunday afternoon and had to be rushed to the emergency animal hospital. Again, BAH was there for us. First thing Monday morning, they saw Bailey and explained what had to be done to detox him. In addition, they made every effort to keep the cost of a very expensive snack as reasonable as possible. He recovered completely and is now known at BAH as "The Grape Eater." Through it all, they've been there for us.

Kudos to Dr. Casey, Dr. Yeomans, and the wonderful staff at Brookwood Animal Hospital!

My family recently moved to Lawrenceville and needed a good vet. Our neighbors, who have six golden retrievers, insisted we go to BAH. Emma (Border Collie, 12 years old) and Montana (English Lab, 5 months old) had their first visit recently, and I was very impressed with the professionalism, knowledge, and compassion shown to us. I am so happy to have a vet I know I can count on!

Dr. Yeomans was great to me & my dog. His leg was broken & several vets told me my only option was a specialist costing thousands of dollars. Dr. Yeomans explained my options, told me all of the potential outcomes, and suggested a course of action that fit my budget and the treatment needs of my dog. I saved hundreds of dollars over a specialist and the fees of a corporate vet known to operate out of a large pet store chain (who was rude and uncaring).\nI can't say enough about how happy I am with the treatment my dog received and the value for my money. The staff even stayed late, after closing hours, to treat my dog... on a Saturday!!!\nBrookwood Animal Hospital staff are caring, professional, and competent. I will now be bringing all of my pets to BAH from now on.\nThank you, Dr. Yeomans for making me feel like my dog was the only patient you had, and to your staff for their kind and courteous service.

Dear Dr. Emily Casey D.V.M.,
This letter is to thank you and your staff on a job well done. You all did a great job in taking care of Josie??s eye. You provided me with different options, gave me the details and assisted me with a very reasonable payment schedule. The medication and the service was priced competitively, and the service was awesome.
I brought in Josie with a poked eyeball that was seeping, and you and Dr. Reesman checked her initially. Later when you took over, as her primary care, is when you provided me with my options for Josie. You explained the percentages of recuperation, and best and worst case scenarios. To someone who doesn??t know anything about being a veterinarian, it??s very refreshing to have someone explain all of that. With the information you provided, you made it easier on me and my family to make a decision. Even though I couldn??t afford the best option of 99% recuperation, I was able to choose the 70% recuperation option, for a considerably less amount. That was a very significant savings for me and my family, especially in today??s economy.
Additionally the front office staff, Ms. Pat, Ms. Jane and Ms. Leslie; do a tremendous job in greeting, taking calls, setting appointments, finalizing the billing details, and providing the medication and details on how to administer. They even wrote down a tentative schedule for me, on the times to administer the medication. To me this is going above and beyond, since the instructions are on the medication itself, but it??s a nice touch, and that is what I call ??True Customer Service?.
Being an entrepreneur myself, an independent insurance adjuster for GA, providing damage appraisals for autos, trucks, residential and commercial property, is why I can totally relate to the ??Customer Service? end of your business. A whole lot of people today are worried about the almighty buck, instead of providing prompt, professional, courteous Customer Service, like you, which will return revenues tenfold.
I am pleased to inform you all, that Josie is back to her old crazy self, playing with her toys and chasing my daughter, and squirrels around the yard, as it should be.
My family and I thank you very much, and recommend you highly.
Congratulations on a JOB WELL DONE!

Sincerely,

Dominic Hervis

My first exposure to BAH was when I first moved to GA. I came down south to go to college and brought with me my dear cat of 15 years, Meap. She was old and it was a tough decision to bring her. On one hand, I knew she may suffer from the move... but on the other hand, she would surely suffer without me. Six months after moving, her liver began to fail. The staff at BAH helped me through the difficult time, giving me free food designed for cats with failing livers and coaching me through the steps to care for her. Unfortunately, she passed away the day after Christmas very quietly and peacefully at home.

My heart just couldn't stand being without though and a month later I found myself with two adopted babies to care for! Laharl and Rushuna are simply amazing and I love them dearly. Rushuna however is a bit... neurotic. She became rampantly depressed one summer when we got fleas and stopped eating. BAH checked her out to make sure she had no disease and again were there emotionally. Rushuna recovered fully and is now unbelievably attached to me, an amazing change in personality from the feral skittish baby she used to be!

The final touch came just this past summer when I found myself in love with two stray kittens, barely a month old. Again the staff stepped forward, giving advice and compassion to a new mom raising REAL babies for the first time! They helped out with little Meebo's problems and it always amazes me that they know all of our names. I'm so grateful to have these guys so close and that they understand just how much we love all four of our cats.

In closing, this is a great vet. Being knowledgeable comes with the field but being compassionate is something so totally different. Even when I was a poor college kid, they cut me breaks with the bills. I only wish they could come with me when I move!

I am thrilled to have found such a knowlegeable, professional and compassionate staff who help care for my dog, Sophie. Since adaopting Sophie 4 months, ago, I have met three of the vets and they are all wonderful. They conduct thorough assessments to ensure the best possible care and they genuinely are interested in the health and happiness of my pet.

Our family has been using Brookwood Animal Hospital for about 9 years and have always loved them We recently had a dog that contracted a very rare disease from a spay neuter clinic. Brookwood went above and beyond the call of duty to support us in our efforts to save her. They met us twice a day before hours, after hours and during lunch. Dr. Yoemans is very professional and knowledgeable. In the end, the disease got the best of our dog and of course, Dr. Yoemans was there for us then as well. Not only is the staff exceptional but the facility itself has been renovated. It is a clean and pleasant environment. This is a place that truely caresa bout you and your pet. We will NEVER take our animals anywhere else.

In last 2 years, we have had to go through 2 difficult situations. Our 8 year old beautiful, loving Shepherd Brandi got cancer and within 3 months she could take no more. Dr. Reeseman did all she could do. The day after Christmas 2006 Brandi had her peace. The love and compassion Dr. Reeseman and the staff gave was more than we could have hoped for. We still miss her.In the meantime, my son got a handsome choc. lab. who grew to be a hearty 90 lbs. His problem is that he eats literally anything! He shredded up his bedding and ate some of it. A lot of it! Without us realizing how much. He stopped eating and lost weight within a weeks time. We took him in to Dr. Reeseman but she was not there and Dr. Yeoman took him. They took xrays and found nothing conclusive but he knew it was bad. By the end of the day, it was our call. Wait or do surgery. We decided there was no point in waiting. He and Dr. Reeseman did surgery that evening. They took a sandwich bag full of bedding out of his stomach and intestines. If we had waited, he would not have made it. Thank you Dr Yeoman and Reeseman for all your love and care. Jack is a sweetheart and we love him. Of course, you will never forget he is an escape artist. That's why his nickname is "Houdini Jack".
We love BAH and have been going to see them for more than 20 years. It's worth the trip from Loganville for love, caring, and up to date service.

I worked for BAH for 3 years and during those years I had to put down two of our family pets, Rosie and Tigger. It was again one of the hardest things I have ever done! They both were our daughters pets and it all happened within months of her getting married. Dr Yoemans met us after hours and helped us through a really tough time. He and Dr Casey,( my favorite Vet) so if you are looking for the best care for your four legged friend or your pet needs the best; see Dr. Yoemans. If you need a down to earth Vet, Dr.Emily Casey is your person; she is the greatest!!! Any way you look at it BAH is the best place for your health of your pet or for when you go on vacation. THEY ARE THE BEST!

FYI: the staff is the best around!

This is a great animal hospital to take your pets. Dr Cassie is a wonderful doctor who is not only concerned about each animal but also takes the time to answer all your questions without making you feel that you need to rush things.
We have 5 dogs and 2 cats and the dogs love going there. Our oldest dog drags me in so that he can say hello to everyone and get lots of fuss. He's taught the others to do the same thing.
When one of our dogs had to be put to sleep in January all the staff were wonderful. Actually no matter when I go there all the staff are great. I wouldn't go anywhere else with my dogs.

I moved from Arizona in 2000 with my Yellow Lab, Haley and since have added another Lab to the family. Both dogs routinely visit Brookwood Animal Hospital and have been under the care of Dr. Yeomans, Dr. Reesman and Dr. Casey. The hospital has been newly updated. It is clean, pleasant and they are very accommodating. My older dog was diagnosed by Dr. Yeomans in 2006 with Cushing's Disease. He and his team were professional, understanding and very sensitive to her needs and mine as the owner. When I wanted to explore other treatment options they were willing to refer us to UGA and they continue to follow up with her progress. Tomorrow will be the last UGA visit and we will have maintenance visits back at Brookwood. \r\n\r\nToday, my younger dog went in for XRays of her abdomen for a possible obstruction. Luckily, she looks okay and the vets gave her some anti-nausea medication. I did not have an appointment, I showed up and they squeezed me in. \r\n\r\nAll the staff at Brookwood go above and beyond and I continue to go there even though I have moved 20 miles away. My husband has been approached by other Vets in our area and he claims allegiance to Brookwood. My dogs feel welcomed and loved. I feel blessed. I highly recommend this establishment.\r\n\r\n

Pros: All excellent!

Thanks to Dr. Emily Casey, I have a happy healthy puppy. Dr. Casey is a real people person. All the vets I ever went to were great with my pet but didn't know how to talk to people. I was pleased that Dr. Casey was a people person as well as a pet person. I love going to Brookwood Animal Hospital, they have a great staff.

It has been almost 3 years now since our beautiful Golden Retriever, Henry Lee got very sick and we had to put him down. That had to be on a scale of 1-10 , a 10 on the stress scale.Dr. Yoeman's and all of the staff at Brookwood had always made us feel like Henry Lee was the most special dog they cared for. It did not change when he got so that he could no longer walk in on his own to see them.I could not carry a 90 lb golden and remember Dr. Yoeman's going out to the car himself to carry him in.Though we knew the time was coming closer, that we had tried everything from alternative care to standard . There was never any pressure, just understanding and giving us the truth. On the day we carried her in, I think we knew that this would be the day. I will never forget the caring and support, and even the tears that were shed by the staff as we said goodby to Henry Lee, our friend and pet for almost 13 years..Time has passed and finally, after much pleeding from our daughter,we got another puppy. Zoie is very different from Henry Lee, She is an 11 lb. Calvapoo. Zoie too now goes to Brookwood Animal Hospital and is treated just as special as our beloved Henry Lee.

My daughter adopted a kitten from the Gwinnett animal shelter - he was too young to be weened and became sick and dehydrated several days after adoption. Since Brookwood had done the initial diagnostic tests for the little guy - we returned. The office staff was very understanding and got us in quickly! The vet was really helpful and sweet to my worried and tearful daughter and very gentle with this little life. She immediately gave him fluids and antibiotics and gave us detailed instructions about how to administer the meds he needed and give him the food he didn't know how to eat! They cautioned that these cases were not always sucessfull but felt fairly confident he would thrive - if we were vigilant! We were! At 4-months he is a healthy, bouncy, active kitten, who loves his food! Thank you!

My son's dog, Mr. Stubbs, was hit by a car early one saturday morning. I stopped at Brookwood Animal Hospital before they were officially open for business. Mr. Stubbs had multiple injuries and was in deep shock. The staff did not hestitate. They took him in, Dr. Yeoman diagnosed the injuries and stabilized him. He later underwent surgery and is now recovering nicely. Dr. Yeoman called later to check on Mr. Stubbs. There are no words to express my gratitude for what they did and how nice they were to us. I'd recommend them to anyone.

My family has used Brookwood Animal Hospital since 1984. It is an amazing place. They have helped us with pets that needed to be euthanized and helped us welcome new pets into our lives. They have always treated my animals (dogs and cats) with the best care. My dog LOVES going to the vet. They always greet with such warmth. I have always admired the ""vet pets' they have as well. Cats usually that live at the office. Since I have been going they have had at least one or more animals they have adopted. This is a great place for your animals. They have always given my family the best advice for the animal.

My parents have been taking their dog to this vet for 13 years now, and have always been more than pleased with the service and the people there. I recently rescued a puppy and took him there as well (there are several other vets closer to where I live) and have been extremely pleased with them as well. My dog recently had a week of bad luck, he got his tail cut off in a door, got bit by something and had a horrible allergic reaction, and he also had some kind of a stomach illness. He had to go to the after hours animal hospital three times in a week - and every time the next day the doctors at Brookwood Animal Hospital would call me and ask how he was and if I had any questions or concerns. We've had to take him in to Brookwood several times in the past few weeks, and he actually loves going there. He pulls me into the door just so he can see all his "friends" there. Brookwood Animal Hospital is a wonderful place to take your pets, the doctors are great, the new building is beautiful, and the prices are some of the most reasonable around.

My daughter found 2 dogs. She took them to Brookwood because they were our vet, to see if they knew the dogs. They did not know them and said that since one of the dogs were injured and the other was a pitbull that animal control would put them the injured one to sleep right away and the other in 7 days. My daughter did not want this to happen and agreed to pay them $300 in payments to fix the injured dog and find it a home. She brought the pit bull home. This vet office told her also that these dogs came from an abusive home and should never have been outside, that their owner should be ashamed of themselves for letting them run loose and that they may have been abandoned. The next day the Dr Yeomns started calling my daughter and telling her that she was going to be charged with abandonment if she didn't pay the bill right now! Told her she was a bad person for dropping her dog off and not taking care of it. He had her in tears for 2 days. Told her she needed to borrow the money and that if her parents didn't trust her with the loan why should he. I loaned her the money that day!! I have since spoken to an officer with animal control that said they would not have put the injured dog to sleep, it would have been taken to their vet and taken care of and that they do not put a dog to sleep just because of the breed. He stated that that vet needed to stop lying and that if they wanted him to come get the injured dog, he would take it to their vet to have it treated and that my daughter did what she thought was right for the dog and she didn't have to worry about abandonment charges for doing a good deed. I found out that after I gave them $300 that one of the employees was going to keep the dog. That's my story, wait till you hear what they said to the owners of these beautiful dogs.

PROS: NONE
CONS: This office staff and Dr Yeomans are horrible people! !
