We're so lucky we found Briarwood Animal Hospital and Dr. Hale. The staff know us and our pets by name. When we had to let one of our dogs go two years ago, the staff sent us a sympathy card and donated to a local rescue organization in our dog's name. Having 2 cocker spaniels, we need the best grooming possible and they're it!

My family has been using Briarwood Animal Hospital since 1968. They have cared for many dogs cats hamsters birds and exotic animals for us. They are always caring towards my pets and me. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for warm, excellent pet care. They offer a full range of pet care services. They are the best of the best! They will treat you like family. You can trust them with your pets.

I brought my cats to Briarwood when I first moved to Little Rock because they were the only facility willing to consider grooming my cats without sedating them first (I had called 4 other groomers and vets). Over the next seven years I received nothing but kindness, compassion, and great care from doctors, nurses, and staff members who genuinely love animals and care for their happiness and well-being. When I had to say goodbye first to one and then to the second of my beloved pets, I was touched by the compassion and thoughtfulness of everyone there--then and now. It was obvious they loved my pets and that helped a great deal during what was a very difficult time. I have since moved and I struggled to find a facility as nice as Briarwood in my new city. Unfortunately, before I'd found a good vet, my new cat became extremely ill. Unhappy with the advice and care I received from several vets in the area, and with a cat whose sickness was persistent and getting worse, I called and spoke with Dr. Ashley who was more than willing to help me and my pet. I appreciate the time she took to talk to me, even though I am no longer a client, and that level of care and concern for my pet and for me speaks volumes about the quality and compassion of the Briarwood family.

will never use briarwood animal hospital again.. we had a stray dog in our neighboorhood get hit by a car, my neighbor took her to the closest vet, briarwood animal hospital, she had a 6in gash in her front chest, and couldnt really walk, was in extreme pain.. they xray'd her and gave her pain medication, for apprx $300, then told us she would need $2000 worth of surgery to fix a broken pelvis...they said if she wasnt picked up by 5 oclock they would have the pound come and get her, we didnt have $2000 for her surgery so we went an picked her up to get another opinion, they charged us an additonal $85 for more pain medication they said they gave her.. They Did Not Even Bother TO Clean Her Wounds or Stich Her Up While She Was Sedated For The Xrays, even though had her for over 6 hrs too...upon picking her up, we took her to my vet for a second opinion and he said he had seen much worse pelvic fractures heal on their own, with a couple of weeks of tender loving care, she was back on her feet.. three months later she has a wonderful new home, very loving owners, a best friend in the yard to play with, and i might add FULLY RECOVERED!! she now runs and plays as though she had never been injured.. also my vet knowing she was a stray, stiched her up and and didnt charge a penny for his service...I Would Never Go To Briarwood Animal Hospital !!

She always puts the patient first and is truly an asset to our hospital. Regarding ??catcaretaker??s? review, we regret that we were not able to satisfy you but would like the opportunity to offer an explanation. We don??t encounter too many dissatisfied clients that we aren??t able make things right with, so the particular incident that ??catcaretaker? references was a memorable one.

Somebody should always be available to speak with clients on the phone, however clients in our waiting area take precedence over phone calls. Because our check-in time for grooming is from 7-9 every morning, a phone call may stay on hold for longer than average.

While we make every effort to keep at least one receptionist at each desk, our receptionists have the added duties of taking in pets and conveying messages to the rest of the staff. For this reason, the desk may be left unmanned for short periods but the client??s wait should be minimal.

We can??t speak for ??catcaretaker??s? perception of tone, but when a client drops off a pet to stay with us and informs us of a painful condition, it is our duty out of concern for the patient to get the details of the condition.

Often times, pets that eat well at home don??t eat well in a new environment. Bringing the food that they normally eat at home is a good start but for pets in our care that still won??t eat, we will offer a more enticing canned food mixed with their food, thereby using much less of the food brought from home. The pet??s eating, drinking, and bathroom habits are all recorded to reflect this. We try to keep all items brought in with a pet together, but if the big bag that items are brought to us in is a plastic grocery sack, it may be disposed of. We have other plastic bags for use in these cases.

We generally launder all soiled bedding, whether it is ours or the client??s. The trip back to get this was to a separate area where all bedding is washed. As far as help to the car, we generally offer but if we don??t, please ask. If the receptionists can??t help they can page someone who can.

Finally, and in particular reference to this incident, we do not offer discounts to relatives of past employees.

At Briarwood Animal Hospital we treat your pets like family. We have the best interests of your pet in mind at all times and try to make their stay as pleasant as possible with the added assurance that the family doctor is always right next door.

I called to find out the price of boarding and receptionist told me she could not get anyone to answer the phone. That should have tipped me off to the poor customer service in that dept. I have had no trouble with animal care but the other side of the clinic - boarding and grooming is another story. When I went in to drop off my pets, there was no one at the desk and no bell to ring. Groomers busy working could see me standing and waiting. I waited 5 minutes before 3 people came out of the back room. You would think that at least one person should be manning the desk. I tell them that my dog's neck is sore so that they would not be yanking on her leash and hurting her. One lady ask in an accusing tone why her neck hurts as if I abuse my dog. I explained she had her shots the day before. Then when I return to pick up my pets, the same lady is at the desk and takes her time in acknowledging my presence. They bring my dog up and most of the individual bags of food I had made for the stay. I ask where is the big bag that held all the little bags and the lady thinks I'm crazy for wanting my bag and no explanation as to why my dog who has no trouble eating didn't eat her food. Then they bring up the cat with his food but not his blanket or the dog's toy. So I have to wait for all these little trips back and forth. Not very organized if you ask me. Then I have to try to carry out two good size crates and bags of pet food while they watch and offer no assistance. I will not be back again.
