Pet Medical Center

I don't like this place that calls themselves the "Nordstrom" of Pet Care-
I'm looking for Vets that care about the animals NOT the MONEY !
They are inconsistent with the fees they charge-they are unwilling to work with clients and fees-
They seem to be money grabbers-and jack up the prices of meds and return visits-
This place just wants $$$$$$
We all want the best for our pets and these people know it !
SO they rip us off !!

When I first got my puppy over a year ago, he came with a bad case of itchy mites. I visited 4 different Vets before finding and falling in love with this place. Our Vet is Dr. Hernandez, SHE's WONDERFUL!!! after all my pup went through, he still actually enjoys Vet visits. Thanks to her he's the strong healthy dog he is today. This place is friendly and very professional, They don't try to sell you things you don't need. Dr Hernandez as well as the other vets here have done their homework, and are not in favor of over vaccinating.
Okay, no, they are not cheap, BUT they are NOT overpriced. You are paying for quality pet care. That being said, I did take my dog to the vca in west la for neutering ($200) cheaper. However for things that require more attention, I'd never go anywhere else.

The prices are outragous. I called to get an estimate for my dog's teeth cleaning and they refused to give me an estimate over the phone. This is the closest clinic to my house so I had to go in, pay $60 for a 3 minute exam where the doctor didn't tell me much. And it annoys me that the exam price is not applied to the procedure. My dog's teeth need to be cleaned every 6 months and they quoted me $600 for it. I moved from Orange County where the price for teeth cleaning doesn't exceed $250, which leads me to believe that they rip people off. Also, the staff was really unhelpful and seemed to be unhappy working there. The vibe in that place was bad. While there, there was a lady that was complaining about her bill as well, saying that it's a different price everytime she comes in there for the same procedures. I wouldn't go there again, I would rather drive 50 miles to go back to Orange County to get it done there.

Pros: The only animal clinic besides VCA in the area around Santa Monica

Cons: Prices are beyond inflated, staff is not nice

Dr. Yuan was very patient and caring with my pet and took the time to really examine him. My wait was short and the staff was very friendly. I would recommend this vet to others.
