My wife and I purchased new watches from Hal Martin's and were extremely happy with the entire process. We were able to easily identify the watches we wanted, the watches were found and brought into the store within a few days. When we did need additional service on one of our watches, Hal Martin's staff was eager to help us remedy the issue. We will go back to Hal Martin's for all of our watch needs. Great job - keep up the great work!

A couple of years ago the jeweler we were using went out of business. In search of a new jewelry business, we happened to drive by Hal Martin?s and stopped in. At the time, we were upgrading our bezels on our Rolex watches; Tarang provided an excellent buying experience in regards to both price and quality. Therefore, when it came time to upgrading my wife?s wedding band, Hal Martin?s was the obvious choice. We were looking for a 100% custom designed band. So, with an idea in mind, I drew a rough picture on a piece of paper and decided on the overall width of the ring and the size of the center stone. Tarang took over from there and two weeks later we had a ?WAX? model of the ring. We made a few minor adjustments before proceeding. Two weeks later, we had the most STUNNING ring you could ever imagine!!! In addition and most importantly, THE SERVICE AFTER THE SALE, IS AS GOOD IF NOT BETTER THAN WHEN THE PURCHASE WAS MADE.
They have made a customer and a Hal Martin advocate for life.

I was in the market for an engagement ring, and it was recommended that I go to Hal Martin's and speak with Tarang. Tarang did nothing but portray the utmost knowledge and experience in his craft, as well as treat me like a long time friend. When I came in later to pick up the ring, it was obvious to me that I was working with THE BEST in the business. The ring is gorgeous, and I could not have asked for a better experience. I will never go anywhere else for all of my jewelry or watch needs. Oh, and by the way...she said 'Yes!'

I have never written a review and do not participate in customer satisfaction surveys because as my mother said" If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything".
But after my purchase of a Ladies President Rolex last week I am a lifetime fan of Hal Martin Jewelry and Tarang Patel. The negotiations were fair and I really appreciated the value for the quality recieved.
My wife loves the watch and her follow up visit for the fitting of the band was as pleasent as my purcahsing experience.

Hal Martin's staff was truly helpful. In my need to get a 1930's pocket watch repaired, they were able to help with no hesitation. The cost of repair was reasonable (and very inexpensive to some comparable shops) and the timing for repair only took a few weeks. The location is secured and the staff is very knowledgeable. I highly recommend them!

I was referred to Hal Martin's by a friend because I had some old gold and diamond jewelry I no longer wore. I was so impressed by how professionally I was treated and felt totally comfortable and confident the first time I went into Hal Martin's. Tarang suggested that I consider taking some of my loose diamonds and creating a wearable piece of jewelry. We decided on a design, and when the ring was finished, I was awe-struck at the fabulous design, the beautiful work, and the more than fair price. I receive compliment after compliment on my beautiful ring and each time, I refer to Hal Martin's. Hal Martin's literally took jewelry I no longer wore and made an exquisite ring that I will cherish forever! I also needed some earring posts reworked. Hal Martin's expertly remade the posts and earring backs and cleaned my earrings so beautifully I hardly recognized them. I am a forever grateful customer! Thanks, Tarang!

Years ago I took a $400 electronic watch to a well-known jewelry store. They told me it was just a gadget and would not even look at it. Another (smaller) jeweler found corroded contacts, cleaned them, and only charge me for the battery. I vowed I would never go back to the big name.

So, when my Rolex was in need of service, I found Hal Martin's on the web with all these 5-star ratings. I went there and was very please with staff and especially the quality of the service performed. Twice previously, the Rolex factory had "serviced" and returned my watch out of time-keeping specifications. Since Hal Martin's finished with the watch, it keeps nearly perfect time (less than 10 seconds drift in a month)! The watch looks as good as brand new. They have won me as a loyal customer.

We went to Hal Martin looking for a wedding band. My engagement ring is old (it was my great-grandmother's) and the setting is a little strange. Tarang worked with us to design a beautiful band that fits perfectly with the engagement ring - they look like they're meant to go together! The price was very reasonable and everyone at Hal Martin was kind and helpful. I can't wait to wear my new ring!

We don't usually write reviews, but we just had to this time. Not only are the prices fair and reasonable, but the staff and service couldn't be more knowledgable and helpful. There is not much more that Hal Martin's could have possibly done for us than to stand behind what they sell...even long after warranty had expired. Without even a question, they went far above and beyond expectations. HM will be our store for jewelry from now on.

I went to Hal Martin's for a TKO watch. I did not buy a Rolex or Cartier but I was treated as if I was!! Tarang the GM was extremely helpful and went out of his way to help me! :) I would give this store a 5 star rating and definitely recommend it to anyone!!!

I have had many experiences with Hal Martin and their excellent staff through the years but the last two times have been so good I thought I would comment on them. In one instance about two months ago ,I had a crystal on my Rolex that was very badly scratched and prior to going on a business trip I wanted to replace it. I went in on a Saturday around mid-day and asked if they could do it immediately since I was leaving Monday morning. Hal himself helped out and asked his repairman to replace the crystal while I waited. I was very pleasantly surprised to have the job done immediately with such attentive service on a very busy day for them.

Last week I went in for repairs on another watch and when I picked up my watch, I of course wanted to wear the one that was like "new". The very helpful sales lady saw I took off a nice IWC and she immediately suggested I not put it in my pocket loose, but GAVE me a very nice padded zip up case for it and said it would offer protection for the watch , much more so that my pocket. I thought not only was it observant and kind of her but also as she pointed out the case was nicely padded and suggested I could keep it my golf bag and when I found a need to take it off it offered the watch some protection. As always, service above the norm!

My fiance and I shopped for months for the right stone, we should have come straight here first. We first met Tarang a year before we got engaged and he put NO pressure on us to come back, but the impression he left on us was very warm and friendly. When we finally got serious on the ring shopping we went back to him and he was again cordial and very helpful and fit us right into his schedule. Within a week he was able to provide us a nice selection of stones. My fiance had researched diamonds for months and there was no question that Tarang was not able to answer to my fiance's delight. The best part, the price. We were worried we'd have to go down in size significantly or in quality to get what I wanted, but in the end, we got the perfect stone for the perfect price. No one else came close to the price, we were impressed. I showed him a design for the ring and the setting was done to perfection. Every day I look at my ring and can't believe how beautiful it is. I would suggest to do all the window shopping you like, but in the end, this is the best place we found. If I ever have any diamond needs again, this is where we'll be going! Thank you to everyone at Hal Martins - we were treated with the upmost respect and received the best quality product anyone could ask for. It truly made my dream engagement ring come true!

Recently purchased a Rolex Yachtmaster for Hal Martins. Searched all over the Houston area and found them to have the best deal. Initially, I was a bit sceptical since I had never purchased anything from them but found them to be honest and easy to work with. HIGHLY recommend to all wanting a great value, great customer service and pleasant to deal with. I will not go anywhere else!

I happened to find out that Hal Martin's Watch & Jewelry would take my old gold for trade. WIth the price of gold so high I found out that my scrap gold was worth trading in for money. WOW! I didn't realize it would be work so much! After talking to the helpful staff at Hal Martin's I decided to take some of my gold and make another piece of jewelry. They created a bracelet for me and the craftsmanship was fabulous. Not only did I get a new piece of jewelry but the extra scrap gold paid for the labor. It really is worth taking the time to find out what is laying around in your jewlery box that can be traded in or made into something else. While I was creating another piece of jewelry I also looked at the great deals Hal Martin's has on high end watches. Next time I will use my scrap gold to buy a great watch!! I am now a Hal Martin customer for life!!

We went to see the people at Hal Martin's again for our wedding bands after my fiance first bought my beautiful engagement ring from them. The gentleman we work with is awesome - he helped me design the best band possible to go with my ring and it looks amazing. We compared the cost to Robbin's Bros. and it was sold to us for literally $700 less. But I assure you that their items are quality. They are friendly and answer all of our questions quickly. I would highly recommend at least checking them out after you shop some of the brand name places. I think the ring guy welcomes a challenge actually. I will continue to shop there for gift items and anything else jewelry related - no question.

Went to Hal's after reading the review on this site and I have to say that it was a great experience. I had an idea for a custom necklace and they were able to design exactly what I wanted. I will definately go back again in the future.

I signed up for Citysearch just to write a review about Hal Martin's because I believe so strongly in their business and how they run it. I have been a regular and frequent customer and friend since I first walked into their store in 2006, and since then I have purchased 4 Rolexes for myself and 3 Rolexes for my family. I've also purchased tens of thousands of dollars worth of custom jewelry (perfect platinum/diamond engagement and wedding rings, a diamond necklace and earrings, diamond upgrades for several of the Rolexes and other things). Please don't let the term "pre-owned Rolex" scare you. Anyone can walk into a mall jeweler and pay 2x-5x retail for a watch or jewelry item, but this place is truly for the savvy and educated consumer who can afford to pay anything but chooses to spend wisely on luxury goods. For example, if you came in looking for a new 18k gold Rolex Day-Date (AKA "The Presidents"), who else would show you that the watch had only changed minimally since the early 1980s and then offer you a LESS EXPENSIVE older model (in excellent shape - fully restored with no scratches anywhere, new sapphire crystal, new hands/dial and tight-as-new bracelet) over a MORE EXPENSIVE newer model? Of course they have both, but why waste money on the same thing? Take my advice that I've already given all my friends - GO SEE TARANG FOR ALL OF YOUR WATCH AND JEWELRY NEEDS!!! He will make you and your friends and family very happy. If you want/need a lady's opinion, ask Barbara - she will be happy to give you her honest feedback, even if it means steering you toward a less expensive option. Mickey is their exceptional watchmaker who knows everything about every watch and can do anything, and he will always be happy to talk to you about your watch. These are real people, folks, who will do ANYTHING to help you make the right choice for YOU and you only. I am a loyal customer for life. I encourage you to give them a try - they'll make you happy every time.

I am so impressed by Hal Martin's. In a world where so few businesses seem to care at all about their reputation, this jewelry and watch repair business understands that people are what being successful is all about. I live pretty far from their location, but for something as important as a jewelry purchase or the need for a vital service, it is definitely worth it to make the drive.

I work at a very large high school in the Humble area. Recently, I received a call from Suzanne at Hal Martin's asking if a ring that had been found could have come from our school. Working together, we were able to locate the student in question. He was so happy that his ring had been found. Michael Bullock, took great care to repair the damage to the ring and give it a spectacular polish. The ring was then delivered to my office and I returned it to the young man who was eagerly awaiting its arrival. As a mother who has purchased 3 class rings for my own children, I know the monetary value of a class ring as well as the sentimental attachment.

If Hal Martin's is wiling to go to this much trouble for someone they have never even seen, just imagine what they will do for you!

A fantastic shoutout to Tarang and the people at Hal's!

In minutes Tarang found a new Panerai Arktos watch that I had spent months searching for; with only 500 units I wonder how many new watches even exist? I was so giddy (and guilty that I bought the watch on my wife's birthday) that I also bought my wife some diamond earrings. Unbelievably she wanted to return them becasue they were too BIG! Tarang handled the return with the professionalism that he demonstrated in the sales process.

I just received my custom made wedding band to go with my custom made ring! It looks AWESOME! I can't wait to wear them together in 6 weeks! Tarang and Barb went so far out of their way to help my fiance design my ring. It is so incredibly perfect for me I can even describe it. My fiance introduced me to Tarang and Hal, and I have to say these guys are by far the best in Houston. Tarang has helped us get amazing deals on my fiance's diamond stud earrings, as well as diamond studs for me. Tarang has taken the time to switch out settings and do anything to make the jewelry exactly right. They also did my custom engagement ring, which is absolutely stunning. They gave us an amazing deal, stayed in our budget, and didn't even ask for any money down. My fiance is now getting a custom wedding ring done by Tarang that he is constructing simply from a picture. MARKS, ZADOCK'S, EVERYONE NEAR THE GALLERIA THAT HAS THE REPUTATION FOR FINE WATCHES WAS VISITED WITH NO LUCK. IT DIDN'T TAKE MORE THAN 15 MINUTES FOR TARANG TO HELP ME GET WHAT I WANTED. THE PERFECT WATCH, INCREDIBLE SERVICE, INCREDIBLE PRICE, WHAT MORE COULD I HAVE ASKED FOR. I HAVE SINCE GONE BACK TO INQUIRE ABOUT AND ORDER TWO MORE WATCHES(ONE FOR MY SON) WITH THE EXPERIENCE OF NOT JUST BEING A CUSTOMER BUT A FRIEND. IF ONLY I HAD FRIENDS LIKE TARANG! The minute hand came off of a collector watch that I owned and I had a ridiculous time finding a watchmaker willing to fix it, they all wanted to send it back to the manufacturer. I went to Baileys, Banks and Biddle, Tourneau and many more fine watch stores that claims to have the best watchmaker- don?t waste your time, Hal Martins is by far the best. The best in service, knowledge, professionalism, you name it. I was pleasantly greeted when I walked in and was surprised to see the diverse selection of watches they carried, the greeter knew exactly who I was since I called in earlier. They gladly took my watch to the watchmaker and told me that they could get it fixed while I wait. Not only did they get it done within minutes, they perfected the job, the watchmaker came out and explained to me the mechanics of my watch and didn?t even charge me (I was expecting to pay at least $400)! If I can add 5 more stars to this rating I would. I will definitely get my next watch from them. Thank you Hal Martin.

I found Hal Martin's while searching on the web for my first Rolex. Hal Martin's came highly recommended by several colleagues. From the minute I stepped in I had Hal Martin's undivided attention. Hal Martin took the time to educate me on the history of the watches as well as the pro's and con's. Not once did he try to pressure me to buy any watch from him. After visiting several other watch dealers, I purchased from Hal Martin because of his upfront courtesy and honesty. I left with a beautiful Yachtmaster and I will refer everyone I know to Hal Martin's. If your looking for the perfect watch, look no further than Hal Martin's!

My brother referred us to Hal Martin?s and we are very grateful he did. Everyone in the store was exceptional in helping us find the perfect watch for our son on his 25th birthday. We were in the store for a very long time before we decided on a Rolex, but Barbara, Tarang and Amanda were patient, knowledgeable and more than accommodating. And our son loved his watch.

It was our 10th Anniversary and I knew I wanted to get my husband a Rolex. I searched around and found Hal Martin's on the web. I wasn't sure what to expect, but was so pleasantly surprised! I was greeted by Tarang, who immediately showed me several options. After looking at many watches, I decided what I liked and Tarang changed out the face and band to exactly what I wanted. There was never a pressure to buy and in fact, he gave me a discount when I paid cash. Tarang also realized I was going out of state on vacation and had the watch shipped to the hotel to avoid paying the tax, messing with airport security, etc.

Working with the staff at Hal Martin's was wonderful. Not only did they provide me with exactly what I wanted, but I got a great deal, too.

I will recommend Hal Martin's to everyone looking to buy a Rolex.

When I finished grad school, I wanted a special watch to mark the occasion. My wife worked with Hal's to order a unique piece beyond what I had even hoped for, at a great price! Since then, I've enjoyed stopping in to see their great collection of pre-owned watches, and scoping out my own future purchases. Everyone there is always exceptionally friendly and welcoming.

This year for my wife's birthday, I wanted to get her a nice watch, so of course I knew that I would ultimately buy from Hal Martin's, even though I was unsure which watch I wanted. Tarang took the time to review several options with me over the course of a few visits, even during the busy holiday season - giving his expert insight and never pressuring me. When I made my decision, he ordered it for me at a great price and had it in my hands two days later - gift wrapped in a goody bag! I couldn't ask for better service!

Well it was 25th wedding anniversary time and I did not think foil would work for the silver gift, so I went to visit Tarang at Hal Martins. Several good friends have had excellent luck with them so I was willing to give it a try. I went in asking for Tarang and explained what I was looking for. He showed me a few choices and I decided on the Lady Rolex Stainless/Gold Date/Just . Then Tarang gave me several choices of faces to choose from of which I called him back with my daughters choice. He held the watch until I came back into town, opened 30 minutes early and had his jewelrer change the face to my choice. Since this was a gift Tarang said if my wife was not satisfied in any way she could exchange it for another style , brand or have the face changed. Very accomodating and knowledgeable. Not a stuffy pressure sale. More of a friend to friend atmosphere. Will definately return for more purchases. Thanks Tarang it went well. LEW

I want everyone to know I very highly recommend Hal Martin's for anyone in the market for fine pre-owned watches.

My wife has very very specific taste when it comes to jewelry. We have been looking for a great quality, pre-owned Rolex watch with very specific specifications. I went to Hal Martin's with little hope of finding her dream watch.

They gave me a wonderful deal on a beautiful watch, switched out the face and band to match exactly what she wanted in less than 20 minutes!

Because it was a cash deal, they gave us a great discount. I would highly recommend them to anyone...very knowledgeable.

Rarely am I satisfied with a transaction. Hal Martin's went above and beyond the call of duty. I wanted a hard to find watch for my wife and they found it when no other company could. They kept in touch even when I was on vacation. Their demenor, professionalism and even the dogs were the best! It is so nice to finally go into a place where the people are friendly, know their products and even give you names of compeitiors to check them out and still offer you a coke when you come back in. No pressure. No games. Just the facts and a reasonable price (with some free goddies in the bag when you leave) . Without reservation I would recommend Hal Martin's.

First time writing a review for anything...that's how great I think the group at Hal Martin's is! Barbara and Tarang could not have been more helpful and responsive. While I was traveling out of the country Barbara ordered a watch band for me after we traded e:mails. When I went in to pick it up, the finish on it didn't match my watch (Zeno). Zeno didn't make the band in the finish I wanted...so Barbara and Tarang had the band refinished to match my watch! It is pure "bling". I get a lot of compliments on this custom combination. I would also like to mention that I saw this type of service given to each of the customers in the store during my visit. If you are looking for service...look no further...go to Hal Martin's!

Where to start? I went to a the Galleria to find the perfect anniversary present for my wife and was astounded at the prices for jewelry. Dissapointed and tired I saw Hal Martin's on the way home and decided to stop in hoping I might be in luck. Upon entering I was greeted with the friendliest hellos and smiles of real people not salespeople. Barbara asked if she could help me find something and showed me some beautiful pieces. Having something particuler in mind for my wife I could not decide on the pieces on display and explained to her what exactly it was that I was looking for. She assured me that I would get what I wanted and introduced me to Tarang. After a few minutes of explaining and sketching, Tarang knew exactly what I was looking for and proceeded to show me some catalog designs. jump ahead a few days when I received a call from Tarang saying my piece was ready. To my astonishment it was better than the original one I had seen at the Galleria at a fraction of the price. Hal Martin's has made a customer for life. With the superior service from Barbara and Tarang mixed with the superior quality of my jewelry I can confidently say there is no better place in town for the services they provide. I have since been back to purchase a Rolex watch and have sent many references their way. Keep it up!

I recently went to Hal Martins to look for a pair of diamond stud earrings for my fiance's birthday. Tarang first greeted me as I walked in and was very accommodating when I explained what I was looking for. Although they did not have the size and type of earrings on site, Tarang quickly ordered them and they were on-site later that afternoon.

When I went back to pick up the jewelry, both Tarang and Barbara were there to greet me with a smile and make sure I had the right jewelry for the occasion. I couldn't be more happy with the diamond, the setting, and the service I received.

A big thank you to the Hal Martin team and I highly recommend their store to anyone in the market for jewelry or just a friendly attitude.

Shopping at Hal Martin was a pleasure!!! All his associates are so helpful and did not pressure me to buy anything. I made several trips before buying and I was treated with great respect. I doubt his prices can be beaten, and the quality of the merchandise is impeccable. Mr. Hal Martin is very accessible, Barbara and Tarang were extremely helpful. The employees are not paid commission, and everyone works as a team.

Great customer service. They made me a beautiful ring! They are very honest with you and do not pressure you into buying. Great prices, too. I plan to return for years to come.

Check out Hal Martin's new fabulous store ... what a great showplace for all the great watches. If he doesn't have it, he can find it ... and for the right price!!! His terrific customer-service oriented staff will give you a shopping experience that you haven't had in Houston for a great while ... The diamonds you are looking for to create that special setting can be custom designed by Tarang and you will have found the perfect gift! Don't be fooled by Hal's relaxed attitude ... he is a walking encyclopedia of facts about watches of all makes & models ... but the Patek's are my personal favorite! What a great shopping experience!

What a great shopping experience! Hal Martins has a good thing going on in his new location. Hal is quite the character; he shows up to work in shorts! His relaxed attitude transfers to his well trained staff and they really look like they enjoy their jobs. No pressure hereI watched a first time buyer get an education in Swiss watches (that part comes free) and on another visit, an experienced collector found a rare piece he had been looking forHe called it a Patek. My experience was particularly rewarding. Tarang helped me re-design that used up wedding set into something trendy I could wear around my neck! I will certainly make Hal Martins a stop on my holiday shopping tourThey carry something for everyone and in all price ranges!

We went in to Hal Martins to see about having a gold necklace made. Tarang listened to what we were looking for and then was able to show us a book of choices to select the exact style we wanted. My husband wanted a very specific gold necklace in 18K gold. Tarang helped him find the perfect one and is making it for us now. The service at Hal Martins is great and the personal attention they give their customers is unmatched. After we have this piece made we plan to go back buy a diamond (for me!).
