Schwab, Jonathan B, Dvm - Arenac-Bay Veterinary Svc

I've owned pets for most of my life, and have worked for, and run, a county humane society. Due to that, I've worked with A LOT of veterinarians. Hands down, these vets are the best. Dr Jon Schwab performed patella surgeries on my puppy mill rescued dog that had severely bad knees. I don't believe that an orthopedic specialist could have performed better surgeries than Dr Jon did. My dog's future looks much brighter now, thanks to him. Dr Ron is just as good. They care about the animals, and keep their prices so reasonable that I can afford to give my pets the care that they deserve. Really a world class organization, with knowledgeable, caring people.

I have been fortunate enough to have been a customer of Dr. Ron's vet services for several years. Having cattle and dogs I have always been able to rely on and trust the services received. Doc comes out to the farm at all hours of the night in all kinds of weather. The treatment given shows his true love and respect of the animals in our lives. Superior to any vet I've ever gone to.

My dog got sick at our house in Au Gres and I just so happened to find Dr. Ron - I am soooo pleased. He took a few xrays and ended up having to do surgery at 10:30 Sunday night. My dog stayed there for 4 more days recovering and then was able to come home with 18 staples. I have Dr. Ron's house, cell and office number and when he doesn't answer, he'll call right back. Not only that, but he is very reasonable (the surgery cost 1/4 of what it would have cost in Detroit), and uses his knowledge of farm animals to treat hip dysplasia in my dog.
Since then, I took my other two dogs in to see Dr. Ron's son - who is equally as nice.

I was shocked to read a negative review of Dr. Schwab's office. I have 3 horses, 2 donkeys, many barn cats, 1 house cat, 4 house dogs, chickens and a goat. I have tried many of the area vets, and was mostly satisfied, but found several to be overpriced and impersonal. Then I was referred to Dr. Schwab by West Branch Vet Svcs. when my goat was sick. I felt like I finally found a vet who can nearly find any problem, and if he can't, he'll tell you. I love Dr. Schwab and his staff. The prices are reasonable and care is incredible. It just proves that you can't please all the people all of the time. I highly recommend them to all of my friends.

My dogs receive the best possible care (medically and surgically) at Arenac- Bay Veterinary Services. I know the doctors to be knowledgeable, current and receptive to client concerns. The welfare of the pet is first and foremost. They will go the extra mile to help ensure a pet's health.

My dogs enjoy going at Arenac-Bay Veterinary Services. I am aware of other clients traveling great distances so that their pets can be treated here. I would highly recommend Arenac Bay Veterinary Services.

I have been a client of Arenac Bay Veterinary Services for more than 20 years. I have found the doctors to be professional and knowledgeable, taking the time to listen to my concerns and observations related to my pets. The doctors are available to their patients whatever time of day or night they are needed. Both doctors are willing to consider treatment and care alternatives if I am concerned with a recommended treatment's effectiveness, cost, or side effects. I have tried other area veterinary services, and found them to be less accommodating and often overpriced. I have recommended this service to friends who have not had success in resolving their pets' problems with other veterinarians, and have always had positive feedback regarding their experience there.
