Dr Polko is a very good doctor, you can trust in her. Once I had a issue with Dr Shannakan because she was rushing the consult and I felt very uncomfortable. That happens just one time, and then she was very nice. Dr Davis is a good doctor but not my favorite. The office has a secretary that speaks Spanish and is very very nice. The nurses are great! Sometimes the bathroom is not in perfect condition but almost always in very clean. Schedule an appointment with Dr Polko sometimes is very hard but it worth the wait to see her.

I have been a patient of Drs. Shonekan, Polko and Davis for the last 12 months and have never had better care. In fact, I truly credit Dr. Shonekan for saving my life as there was a very rare complication in my delivery and were it not for her skill and expertise, I would have easily died. There is often a wait to get to see a doctor, but that is only because the doctors take their time explaining anything you need, answering questions, or sadly, dealing with emergency situations like mine which require impromptu and lengthy office visits. These doctors are dealing with life and death situations, and their compassion, dedication and abilities are priceless.
I have always had the triage nurse call me in a very reasonable time frame, and she has never been anything but concerned about my health and welfare. That goes for the entire staff--I could not be in better hands than with this clinic.

I wouldn't recommend this doctor's office to anyone. I have many medical issues. I seen Dr. Davis once for the initial visit. He put me on Lupron in which i'm having horrible issues with, side effect wise. I have called numerous times in the 3 months i've been getting these shots to get an appointment and every time I call they say the nurse will call you. I have called 3 times in the last week alone and they still will not give me an appointment. Like I don't have the right to see or talk to my doctor or what I have to say doesn't matter. It's BS! I need to see and talk to my doctor about something important that has to do with my health and medical care but yet they don't care and don't want to hear it. I called yesterday and they said the triage nurse was going to call me. Of course that didn't happen, not that talking to her would have done anything because i've been that route many times with them. My point is I wanted to let whoever reads this these people at this doctors office are very impersonal and good luck getting an appointment because they don't give a crap. I have already requested a new GYN and honestly I don't care where I have to go or how far I have to drive as long as I don't have to be treated like these people have treated me. I'm done. Requested my medical records and everything already. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to Southern Maryland Women's Health Center!
