I was at a party at Reflections last week. What a great space. The party was filled with greta people and the place was beautiful. Every detail was thought about. I am excited for the next party and cant wait to throw one of my own there

Pros: Prefect Eco Chic party space

I took a yoga class here, it's so nice with its lavender ceilings and big windows. It almost made me forget I was stretching my mind and body since it felt so spa like!
The loft space makes everything feel so spacious and transfers into

i really enjoy coming here. my goal has been to firm up my body and i have been able to do that these past few months while coming here. teachers are very knowledgeable, teacher to student ratio is great (classes not too crowded), clean pleasant atmosphere and friendly people. great way to neutralize stress.

there are a lot of teachers here. some of them are good. but Agatha is strange. she finishes lasses 10 minutes earlier and talks too much. would somebody explain to her that lessons are paid and students can not understand so many instructions given without a pause?

I think Levitate has really found its groove. I practiced there a handful of times over a year ago and found it to be clean and friendly, but nothing really lured me back over and over--it was good but not outstanding. I recently started practicing there again because I noticed a lot of different names on the schedule. So far, I've tried Vidya, Marisa, Joanne, and Shri and have LOVED all of their classes. It seems like the classes are more challenging, butt-kicking, and creative now. Teachers give really helpful information in the poses and great hands-on corrections, and the pace is perfect. I can't wait to try Connie's class, she's the owner and I've heard she's fantastic! There also seems to be a friendlier vibe among the students now too-- they're easy-going and quick to chat with you before or after class. And the managers or people working the desk are pretty cool too. Overall, LEVITATE ROCKS!

Pros: amazing classes, clean, friendly

.

Friendly studio, unlike those aggressive sweat factories. They rent mats and actually clean them between each use. The studios are neat and clean. Decent variety in types of classes and teachers, tho sometimes you gotta try to find whose class you like. The 3 for $33 is super deal! Vidya gives a great mixed level class.

Pros: affordable, clean, good teachers

Cons: only 2 studios so class times are limited

.

First one negative comment appears about the old rental mats, then another appears after that prasing how they are cleaned. HAHA. Makes me wonder how many of these comments come from people with a vested interest. BTW, the mats ARE yucky, so I recommend that you bring your own mat if you have one.

I'm commenting on the other comments because the great reviews is what led me to try Levitate in the first place. Maybe I had high expectations, but I was definately disappointed. Nothing special about this place. There are better studios in the area that I will be going back to.

Pros: overall relaxing vibe steps from the crazed times square, great classes, great teachers

Cons: none

This studio is adorable! I tend to look for vinyasa teachers who can give detailed anatomical info for each pose without losing the flow or the spirit. I find that the teachers at Levitate are great about that. Front desk people are always friendly which enhances the experience. My only two nit-picky gripes are that there aren't any showers, and the rental mats are not as nice as other studios of their caliber. I do know that they clean them after each use though. But don't let that keep you away from their AMAZING classes!

I know it's too cheesy to say "I love this studio" but I have to admit I do. Best teachers I've ever met after 5 years of wandering around different yoga classes, special deals they keep offering occasionally, always welcoming
and warm staff, clean and cozy atmosphere. Sometimes I want to be lazy and skip a class, but I never ever regret going. I feel encouraged to try anything and never feel judged. Give Levitate a shot, you will love it!

I love this place! The first time I walked in, I was amazed by the beauty of this studio! And the staff was super kind! I just got such a wonderful vibe from this place. Really serene.

Oh and to top it off, I took a morning class and it was super cheap for new york. Just $10! Really can't beat that.

The teacher, Amanda, had the cutest accent! I can quite tell if she's British or maybe a New Zealander. And she was just the sweetest woman ever. The class was really excellent. Such a great way to start my day.

I love Levitate Yoga. Connie and the staff and the teachers are all friendly and helpful. And the other students are nice too. No big egos there. No competitiveness in the air--we have the room to challenge ourselves, and I am challenged in every class I take. My favorite teachers are Mardi and Jason and John, though I have appreciated what every teacher I've experienced there has to offer. The teachers easily embrace any level of yoga experience in their students, and beginners especially need not be intimidated. And you can't beat the prices! Especially if you take advantage of the monthly membership or take the lunchtime "quickie" classes. Enjoy!

Took a class here with my wife. Was very relaxing. The facilities were perfect in my opinion. I only wish I could devote more time to this.

I needed a stress reliever and a collegue of mine recommended that I go to Levitate to take a class. I took Connie's class- great flow and soothing environment. Connie is a very intuitive instructor. She knew where my limits are and when to challenge me. I can't think of a better way to end a stressful day.

Pros: instructor (connie)

Cons: 5PM class too early for me to make on most days

I usually take yoga classes at my gym (NYSC). But a friend of mine recommended that I try taking it at Levitate. What a difference! It's yoga like it should be. The environment was very soothing, the studio was just warm sunshine. Very clean and comfortable. I'm never going back to the classes at the gym.

Friendly, curteous staff. Amazing intructors. Soothing, clean environment. They even made an inexperienced beginner like me feel welcome. It's like a quiet oasis in the middle of noisy the Theatre District. And the prices are great, especially if you're a student and can take advantage of the discount. I highly recommend it!!!

I've been practiving yoga from home on my own for a few years before I finally decided to try it in a class setting. I tried a few other places, but I enjoyed the whole experience from Levitate the most. They live up to their great reviews!

The instructors are all top notch and offer variations for all levels in case you can't quite get to the full lotus. The classroom floor is unique as well -- special material that I have found to be more comfortable than the standard hardwoods in other studios. The owner is dedicated and always there to help with anything that may come up.

I discovered Levitate when I went to the doctor down the hall. It was February. He told me that I might be suffering from lack of sunlight. As I passed Levitate afterwards I picked up their class schedule. It said something like, "Winter blues got you down?". I went in for a class.

The owner, Connie, is amazing - understanding, down to earth, sympathetic, and an inspiring business woman. Design of the studios is welcoming, calming, soothing, kind. Instructors are all different and wonderful - a very diverse array of personalities. I laugh in every class. I feel secure in the practice and training that each instructor provides. I am continually inspired and strengthened in my practice, in my life. I feel very supported by Connie, the staff, and instructors at Levitate. I have absolultely no reservation about recommending this studio to any yogi at any stage in their practice.

Discovering Levitate Yoga is like coming home. The space is clean and lovely with candles dimly lighting the yoga spaces bringing peace to the practice. Connie, the owner, always greets clients with a smile, and remembers your name, making it feel like a friendly community. The teachers are excellent and extremely knowledgeable. They combine the perfect mix of breath exercises, meditation, and movement, and are extremely invested in their students. The end result is you leave the class feeling renewed in mind, body, and spirit. Check it out!

Completely and utterly fantastic experience. Finally, a yoga studio that gets all the components right without robbing you of the last sports bra off your back.

for a beginner like me, the first class is almost the most intimidating but the instructor made me feel right as ease; as in the many subsequent classes, no matter the level or instructor. the studio itself is a great break from the hectic nyc world that's going on outside with it's warm, inviting feel. the owner and teachers are so personable that you feel right at home immediately. love, love, love levitate!

First, let me just say wow. At first, I was a little scared to try yoga. I assumed it would be a lot of hare krishnas chanting, trying to convert me into a religious fanatic, bending me into weird, unnatural positions. Boy, was I wrong. This studio was the perfect way to discover a practice I am now passionate about. The teachers were wonderful, challenging me without being intimidating, and explaining postures in terms I could understand. The owner was so friendly I didn't want to leave. I took both a beginner and intermediate class, and both were perfect. Don't miss this gem of a studio!!

Pros: Great Location, Beautiful space, Wonderful people

I've practiced for many years, in most of the well known centers in NY. Levitate Yoga is by far the most enjoyable center I have experienced. The teachers at Levitate are some of the best in the City (Susan "Lippy" Orem, Dana Strong, Renata Smeda, for example), and the class sizes are very reasonable, so I get lots of personal attention. The studio is beautiful, and always immaculately clean. They have offered great workshops which I've enjoyed ("Levitate to the Hamptons" in the summer; Inversion workshops, etc.). The owner, Connie, is wonderful, and her staff very friendly.

I happened to be walking up 8th ave. one day and literally "looked up" and discovered Levitate.
This beautiful third-floor set of adjacent studios is open, airy, warm and non-intimidating to the novice yogi.
the there appears to be classes at key times of the day to fit most secheules.
the instructors that i am familiar with are all patient and allow you to take the class at your own pace while encouraging you to push a little harder.
This place is awesome!!!!

I have been to a lot of studios, and this is by far my favorite. The studio is serene, the owner friendly and welcoming and the classes challenging but non intimidating for beginners. The classes are well balanced, and move neither too quickly or too slowly. After every class I took at the studio, I left feeling euphoric, calm and energized. The breathwork really centered me, and even the less advanced classes offered me something new to learn.
With so many studios developing an impersonal "chain" feeling, it was great to find the Cheers of yoga studios in Midtown. The owner greets you personally, the teachers remember who you are and give you helpful personal feedback, and overall, you feel comfortable and at home.
THREE thumbs up!

i have been practicing yoga for over a year now, have been to classes in studios and gyms all over manhattan and brooklyn, and i can honestly say that levitate yoga is one of the best. the studios are as warm and inviting as the experienced instructors and staff.
if you haven't tried yoga before, this is an ideal studio to get your feet wet as the instructors are incredibly friendly and helpful -- absolutely no intimidation factor, here.

I've been to many yoga studios throughout the city and I have to say Levitate is one of my favorites. The owner makes you feel very welcomed and taken care of. I love a lot of the teachers they have. Some of them really pay attention to make sure you are doing the poses correctly which is soooo important to me. The studio itself is beautiful. I love the dark wood floors and the placid green walls.
