Thank you, Dr. Clay Glenn and All the Doctors and Staff. You keep all our animals healthy, happy and beautiful!
I've had Molly for a fortnight when I brought her to East Orlando Animal Hospital for a routine checkup. To my surprise, my fat baby is actually underweight and filled with worms. I was so devastated. Molly was running a high fever and she couldn't eat. She was admitted, and soon, she was back to her old self. Thanks East Orlando Animal Hospital for taking care of my baby.
We are financially able and willing to board our two small dogs at EOHA. It's close by, it's clean and the staff were friendly- this seen during our recent tour. (It was also amazingly not busy for a Saturday afternoon.) \r
\r
But- $20.00/per dog for a bath? for what we can and always have done at home after boarding them (elsewhere). On top of the $23.00/dog/night kennel run fee? And extra to let them go play outside? No thanks. \r
\r
EOHA should reivew it's policy. A place that isn't hard up for money would make the pre pick up bath an option. I've never heard of 'mandatory bath'. \r
\r
Also you can pay more for a 'theme' kennel. Dogs do not see artwork on the walls. They don't care. EHOA is trying to compete with the doggie hotels who cater to the well heeled status quo seeking gullable. \r
\r
My guess is EOHA is hard up for money... $20.00 for a bath? You gotta be kidding. For that, I'm sad we won't be taking our two dogs there. \r

I am a long time client of EOAH and Dr. Glenn. He has treated my cats since way back in 1990 or so. I can't say enough about his professionalism and knowledge, but it is his true caring and compassion about the animals he treats that makes him stand out from other vets. There can be lots of technically good vets out there but I personally have gotten calls from him while he is on vacation checking on a stubborn kittly who wouldnt eat when she had a cold, one who decided to eat tinsel and most recently one who needed surgery to repair an abdominal surgery done by another vet ( an emergency). We also had to put our first kitty to sleep and he and the staff were more caring than we could have imagined. I can't believe there are anything but excellent review for this team. Yes, treating animals is costly, but if you can't afford to take good care of them then you shouldn't have them in the first place. I would recommend this practice to everyone!!!!
Pros: Everything
Cons: There arent any
When my dog was misdiagnosed repeatedly by another vet over the course of 6 months, I eventually brought him to Dr. Glenn at East Orlando Animal Hospital. With no exaggeration, it took Dr. Glenn 5 minutes to diagnose the issue. My dog required surgery and I was presented with a detailed list of the charges involved, with each item fully explained. Once my dog was admitted, there were some additional tests the Dr. felt were necessary (I agreed) and I was called first before the tests were performed.
For me, my dog is like my child and I expect a vet to be every bit as good as a pediatrician would be. The Dr's and staff at East Orlando were wonderful, both with me and my dog (I was emotional about the surgery, the staff was very comforting and reassuring).
What really impressed me was the fact that the follow up exams after the surgery were at no charge. I also received two follow up calls (from the Dr) in the three weeks after surgery to see how we was doing.
Also, my dog had another issue (unrelated to the surgery) that Dr. Glenn felt was outside his area of expertise. Rather than try and BS his way into running up additional charges (I've had vets do that in the past), he referred me to a specialist that he trusted. I was impressed that after the initial consultation with a neurologist, that Dr. Glenn called me to review the neurologists findings and to see if I had any questions he could answer. I consider that not only professional, but very decent as well.
In my opinion, these are competent professionals who genuinely care for their patients. I can highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good vet in the Orlando area.
Pros: Competent doctors, caring staff, honest business
Cons: I didn't find any
PLEASE DO NOT BELIEVE ALL THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS ABOUT THIS HOSPITAL. They have given my animals the BEST care they have ever received.
ALL THESE NEGATIVE REVIEWS ARE COMING FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE UNREASONABLE EXPECTATIONS ABOUT THE INSIGHT VETS CAN HAVE ON WHAT IS AILING THEIR PATIENTS. HUMANS CAN GO TO THE DOCTOR AND EXPLAIN WHAT HURTS OR WHAT FEELS BAD. ANIMALS CANNOT, THUS THE TESTS!!!!! If you don't want your pet to get better then don't get them the tests or pay to keep your animals healthy. Chances are that if you're paying less someplace else, the care you're getting is less as well.
After taking my dog to another vet three times to diagnose a hacking cough and constant regurgitation of food/water, I was sent home with cough syrup every time. The first time I took my dog to EOAH, Dr. Glenn ran tests and was able to diagnose the problem in just one visit. He also provided me with literature on my dog's condition and tips on how to improve her life and limit the regurgitation and in turn the coughing. I have received such exemplary care for all my animals from every single doctor I wouldn't go anyplace else. The staff is always polite and friendly. Not to mention the hospital is so clean you could eat off every surface. The hospital is cleaned top to bottom twice a day, and it's about 10,000 sq. ft. Every single dog is walked at least three times a day and their runs/kennels get cleaned every time they are taken out. The cats have their litter boxes/cat condos cleaned three times a day as well.
If you want more proof please go to the hospital and check it out. The staff will assist you in any possible way they can and you can get a tour of the hospital. I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else.
Pros: Caring and polite Staff,Clean,Great Vets,Variety of Service
This is an amazing veterinary practice! They have extremely knowledgeable doctors and staff. They really care for the well-being of all their patients and will do whatever it takes to make a sick animal into the healthy, happy pet their families know and love. Although they tend to be on the pricey side, the incredible facilities and technology (ex: digital radiographs) are the readoning behind the high prices. They gave me a wonderful opportunity to be a veterinary technician while in undergrad and I can honestly say I would probably not be in veterinary school if it wasn't for them. It would be an honor to go back and work for Dr. Glenn and Dr. Yantorni once I become a veterinarian :-)
Pros: Friendly staff & veterinarians, wonderful facility
Cons: slightly expensive (but well worth the service!)
I have been going to this vet for over ten years. Since they have changed locations from across the street I have notice a SEVERE decline across the board. They used to be over priced but worth it. Now they are just overpriced!!! We boarded our dog in their ""lodge""... I thought it was funny YOU HAD TO PAY FOR A BATH before pick up. Now I know why... they let the dogs stay in their own and other dogs feces. Don't let the shiny new digs fool you... STAY AWAY!!! They gave my dog worms and then over charged me to treat. I was told i could order meds online to save a few... after waiting 10 days I get a call saying they don't do that. I would have to come back in and pay $5/ prescription. So now I have to bring my newborn baby and 3 year old back into the place that has a severe worm infestation to pick up a stupid prescription. This happened to a 10 year customer who has spent thousands with over the years. (By the way we have boarded at lots of places over the years and this is the first time our dog got worms.) Stay away please!
Pros: Nice brand new facililty (I paid thousands for literally)
Cons: Over priced! Filthy boarding conditions! Made my dog sick!
I have taken my dog to them on several occassions and always felt that I recieved excellent care by the staff. Their office is clean and the staff is friendly. \r

Once we decided to add another dog to the family I was referred to the vet that my breeder uses and was SHOCKED at the difference in price. EOAH was charging us almost by 50% more for the exact same services. Not to mention they were adding services that ""needed"" to be done for our pets good health and come to find out they were extras that were not required and were not even typical to do. For example, a fecal exam is to be completed every year with thier vaccinations, EOAH were sending us reminders that our dog needed a fecal when he had one 4 months prior. I do not feel that they offer anything different than my new vets offer and the prices is nearly half. \r
\r
Please don't take this as us receiving inadequate care because we didn't. The vets knew what they were doing and I trusted them that they were providing my animal excelled care, but did overpay. Drastically.
Pros: Great staff and the clinic was very clean and well maintained.
Cons: PRICE!!!
I brought my pet there who was very sick. I was seen almost immediently and the diagnosis was made quickly, after some tests. The doctor explained it to me very clearly so i understood. I was given estimates on my services so there no 'surprise' when i went to check out. Now he is doing much better. I won't bring him anywhere else, i trust them fully. I HIGHLY recommend them, they truly care.
Pros: qulity care, parking, VERY CLEAN, new building, hours they are open
Cons: none
Too bad there isn't anything less than one star. This is easily the worst place I have ever been in my life. Even the current and a large amount of the ex staff speak poorly of their services/doctors and do not let their animals be seen there. I made the mistake of purchasing a puppy from Petland. They force you to go to this particular vet and see their doctor (his name is the opposite of black...), he is cold and has completely sold his soul to the Petland devil. Supposedly the first visit is free and anything found wrong with the pup is taken care of, my bill that day was $150. I went in (knowing a thing or two about dogs and their health issues) telling him he has a UTI and some kind of intestinal parasite. He pretended to not have any recollection of my dog even though he has seen him every week for the last 2 1/2 months. He ran the UA and did a fecal and came back swinging back and forth between the puppy having a uti and something in the fecal to ""well, I don't necessarily want to say that he has anything"". He then sent me home with two antibiotics to ""help with the urinating and to fix the stool"". Two weeks later my puppy was not getting better and I took him to my real vet who sees my other 2. This doctor scratched his head and announced that my puppy had Coccidia, whip worm and a UTI and couldn't understand why this other doctor didn't diagnose these condidions and put him on pointless meds. My vet also stated that these issues have been taking place for months so that the East Orlando vet has been LYING and signing off on my puppy for ""clean"" health certificates for months so that Petland could sell him and saddle someone else, ME, with the bills to get him healthy. Had I known he was sick 2 weeks ago when I got him I would not have let my other 2 dogs around him and I would have picked my yard up after him. They now are sick and on medicine as well. This has been the most expensive, free vet bill I have ever had! I would NEVER, EVER trust these people!
Cons: Everything from waking in to leaving
I personally handled this person's complaint. She came in on the weekend with a sick dog and she declined all services that would have helped us treat her pet and make it feel better. We did the best we could with what she would allow us. She did not tell us that she was unhappy with her visit until 5 months later. While we were obviously unable to satisfy this client to her liking, I can say that our doctors care very much for every animal walking in the door. We have been in business for 30 years and have highly qualified veterinarians. Yes, sick visits can become costly when diagnostic testing, medications and possibly hospitalization are involved. All I can ask is that you do not allow this client's hot-handled response to sway your decision to visit our hospital. We have a very dedicated and well-educated staff and would love for you to visit our hospital anytime.
This office treated my pets and my family very badly with no regard for their care. They are rip off artists with over exorbitant prices for substandard care not to mention that they give a ?bandage on a bullet wound? approach to care at a costly rate and then tell you to come back to pay for even more costly revisits and extended tests which are unnecessary and harmful to the animals just to help fill their pockets, while all the while, having no regard for the helpless animals in their care or the owners they take advantage of.
My new vet was able to treat my dogs for less than East Orlando animal hospital who charged $256.60 plus $600 of recommended extended care and tests, that our dogs would have NEVER gotten better from and then wanted another $200 for flea and tick preventative for a total of over $1,000 to help fix a digestiveproblem that got worse with their misdiagnosis and almost caused my dogs to DIE from a bad reaction and incorrect prescription!! To hear my vet say that none of that prescribed thousand dollar quote of treatment that this hospital reccommended would have worked and to have my dogs get better with ournew vet for a $150.00 bill is unbelievable to me!!!!!!
This hospital is a rip off!!! They do not care for you, your pet, or your business!!!! Do not be fooled into trusting them with your closest little furry family members because they are callused, crude, rip off artists who only care about dollar signs and getting as much out of you as they can without really helping your pets. My dogs almost died as a result of their uneducated, unprofessional, heartless, ignorant staff of vets and office staff. They misdiagnosed both my dogs after charging ridiculous fees including an emergency room fee when there was no one waiting in the hospital to see the vet. Now I know exactly why this office was so empty to start with. PROTECT YOUR PET AND YOURSELVES AND DO NOT USE THIS HOSPITAL FOR YOUR PET'S CARE!!!!!!
Cons: Over priced, substandard care from poorly trained staff who do not listen and misdiagnosis
I am a relatively new client to East Orlando, but every time I have visited the hospital, I am greeted with cheerful smiles and prompt service. The staff always pays extra attention to my pet and treats her as if she were one of their own. The hospital is absolutely beautiful, inside and out, and the staff truly uphold top-notch customer service. I have never before seen my pet EXCITED to go to our vet, but when she is greeted by cookies, pats, and sweet voices, she can't help but relax and wag her tail. I have now visited 3 out of the 5 doctors, and each one is attentive and affectionate in their own way. I always feel that my pet is getting the best care possible when I bring her to East Orlando, and whole-heartedly recommend this hospital to anyone who considers their pet part of the family!
After one experience with East Orlando it was clear to see that the services and staff were good. However the costs of the services were significantly higher than other clinics in the area. I felt a little pressured to spend more money on things that seemed to be ellective. You really need an appointment to be seen. If you have time to shop around a little you can save money on most routine needs at most all neighboring hospitals.
Pros: Good Quality
Cons: Very Pricey in comparison
