My dog loves it here!!! She went thru a rough transition when we moved and she settled into Dog Centers of America very quickly which also helped her settle down in her new home. The staff at Dog Centers of America are so patient and friendly - paying lots of love and attention to the dogs they care for. I can't recommend them enough.

My dog has enjoyed playing at Dog Centers of America for 2 years now! He is a very active dog and it makes him so much happier to run around with all of his friends. He comes home and sleeps the rest of the day! The staff is friendly and genuinely loves dogs. I know my dog gets fantastic care when he stays here!

I wrote a review on here a few weeks ago and it was mean I am sorry dog centers I wrote that you forgot to feed my dog and give her a pill. But what I relized is I packed extra and you Did take good care of my pooch when I left her in your care. Once again I am sorry I acted like a child.

Pros: Staff

I am an employee as well as a client of DCA. I'm disgusted by the bogus reviews that are popping up all over the internet in regards to my place of employment. I can assure you that these are being written by a disgruntled ex-employee in an attempt to defame my boss, the company and its employees. This speaks volumes of ones character. I have absolutely no respect for someone who resorts to such juvenille tactics. All of these reviews are similar in form and content with only slight variations in text. This individual consistently states that the owner is "rude" and suggests that dogs aren't being fed, medicated, taken potty or given water. Frankly, I resent the implication. I have worked here for 3 years and take alot of pride in the work that I do. I have stayed beyond my shift on numerous occasions to make certain all of these needs are met. All of us are very diligent when it comes to making sure the dogs are properly cared for. My boss (the owner) is not "rude". He's actually quite personable and a great guy to work for. He simply expects us to do our job and do it well. I'm also a client and board my 3 dogs here. I, like anybody else, want the best care for my dogs when I can't be with them. I'm getting just that at DCA. I have boarded them at 3 other places in the past. This is the only place they haven't looked emaciated when we picked them up. (they are a thin breed) The staff is very attentive and makes sure they are actually eating their food! My husband and I love that we can watch them on webcam and see how well they are doing. We love that they can stay on their own food and that playtime is included. Because I also work there, I know just how well they are being cared for. If I felt otherwise, I wouldn't bring them. They are my "babies" and I want the best for them - Like any other client. Please don't rely on slanderous comments made by a terminated employee. Check us out for yourself or read the legitimate reviews made by actual clients.

I have been taking my two dogs there since they opened and would't consider going anywhere else. DCA was recommended by one of the best trainers in the country and he was absolutely right. I investigated several day care facilities prior to going to DCA and found them lacking in just about everything from the staff that were totally disinterested to filthy and run down kennels. I went to DCA expecting about the same even though they were recommended and was pleasantly suprised. The staff was engaged with all the dogs in each group. They played and supervised the dogs and made quite and impression with me. I am very particular who I let interact with my dogs and felt absolutely comfortable leaving them right from the beginning. In addition to day care, I also board, groom and even buy my food there. I would and have recommended DCA to anyone that wants the best care available for their dogs.

Pros: good and trained staff, clean, well run, very accommodating, good hours of operation, pickup and drop off times fit my schedule perfectly

Cons: if there were any cons I wouldn't be writing this!!!

I am in complete agreement with all of the other "5 Star" reviews. This place is great, and our dog couldn't be happier here. We use the daycare, boarding, and grooming services and they are all first rate. Our dog loves going to daycare, and she is always greeted enthusiastically and warmly by the staff. It is obvious they love the animals and at least in our case, our dog loves them too! Daisy can't wait to walk through the door to the play area...and at the end of the day she is exhausted and happy. I love the ability to board her at the same facility and know that she is not stuck in a cage all day. We have been absolutely delighted with our experiences with Dog Centers of America, and I have personally recommended them to many, many people and will continue to do so.

Pros: clean, friendly, multiple services available

Cons: no Sunday hours

I have know the owner for 40 years. I have known that in all prior positions he held he was always a valued employee, one that was long term. Which says to me that his commitment to others is as strong as his committment to himself. He has always had a love for animals and is just as loving and kind to the people he knows and meets. His dog center is a beautifully clean and well managed facility. His heart and soul is poured into this lifelong endeavor. I too own a business and there has been and probably will be again employee situations that create negative publicity. This makes hardships for owners that are unwarranted. Please know that I have and will continue to reccommend the Dog Centers of America to any one I hear that is looking for doggie day care/training. If and when I ever need this service Craig would be the first person I would trust with my dog!

Pros: kind, curtious, caring, clean

I have had outstanding service at Dog Centers of America! The owner is a great guy and things with the staff have really improved since he fired Alisia the supposed "dog trainer."! He has REAL professional help now! My dog is doing so much better under the new supervision it isn't even funny!! I can't believe how much progress they have made with him!!! Things are so much better now!!!! Thanks!!!! A++++

Pros: Excellent service and knowledgeable staff

Cons: far away! but worth the drive

I have known the owner of Dog Centers of America for many years. He is a man of integrity and compassion. I'm confident he had the welfare of his furry patrons in mind when earlier this week he found it necessary to dismiss an incompetent employee. An employee who now is trying to ruin the good name of Dog Centers of America and its staff. I have one word for her: karma. As Traine says in his post he loves it at Dog Centers of America. The staff is doing a wonderful job of socializing him. And, as Traine's aunt, I can rest assured that when he is dropped off at Dog Centers of America he will receive the best of care. And the greeter, Jake, is the best!

Sandy my poodle terrier and Bauer my beagle mutt have been going to Dog Centers of America now for over two years (which is the longest duration so far I have ever consistently taken my two dogs). The reason I continue to go there is how comfortable I feel when I walk in. Every morning when I drop them off, they really remember my dogs from the last time I was there. I also like how I can watch them on the doggie cam while I am at work to see them playing together.

Sandy was already four but Bauer was just a puppy when he started to go and every day I went to pick them up, the trainer would always show me what she went over with Bauer that day so I could continue his training at home.

The hours are also great. They open at 7am which is perfect for me, I can still get to work on time when I do have to drop them off.

Pros: Open at 7am

This is Ginger and King we are pups of Tami's and even though we have extreme separation anxiety when she's not with us we would feel right at home if we were to spend the day at Dog Centers of America in Wixom. We have met the owner and his doggie Jake many times. Jake loves to play and run all over with us. He is bigger than us but he is very gentle especially with Ginger since she is a little older. Craig, the owner, is really nice too. When we see him at our uncle's house he is always ready to give us belly rubs and he don't mind when we give him kisses either. Although we would hate the thought of ever having to be away from our mom, a day at Dog Centers of America would be a fun day.

Pros: Friendly, clean, bright, big

★★★★★

The best part of my day is when my dad loads me up in our van and takes me to daycare. I have even learned to recognize when we are in the parking lot. I am so excited to go in and see my friend the greeter
Jake "the gentle giant". Then all the staff call out and say "Traine" look how big and cute you are getting while they are petting me and rubbing my big ears. They are really patient with me too, as I am just a puppy (17weeks). I love playtime in the romp rooms. my mom & dad can even watch me from their computer at work. When I have an accident while I am playing with all my friends I don't even get a chance to sniff it because someone is always right there to scoop it, boy are they fast. I even like naptime there because I am so tired from playing with all my friends and the suite is bigger than the one I have at home. I also get pretty tired out from focusing so hard when I am training, my trainer says I am smart. My dad says he can always tell that I have had a great and full day because when I come home all I want to do is eat my supper and sleep . I love Dog Centers of America .

Pros: Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Very clean. Full service center with special events.

"never again" is a Terminated employee that has waged a One woman campaign to discredit Dog Centers of America, the local authorities will be reviewing IP address and email address of this person. You can look at the legitimate review by a real customer.

Pros: excellent staff and facility

Cons: no sunday pick up/drop off

This place is great ! I highly recommend this place. My dogs really love it there. The staff and owner is really friendly and helpful. They treat your dogs like their own. I love the cameras. Its nice to be able to watch your dogs on camera. This place is really clean. My dogs are always excited to come here , they start wagging their tails and barking as soon as we pull into the parking lot. They are really good to the dogs here. Its comforting to know there is a place I can send my dogs when I have to go out of town that will give them lots of attention and lots of love. Its a shame that some angry ex-employee would say these bad things about the place. Make sure you check this place out and see for yourself. Your dogs will love it there. Dont let your dogs miss out on all the fun.

Pros: Very clean. Friendly and caring staff. Big playrooms.

Cons: No pick up or drop off on Sundays.

Don't be fooled by comments that are left here by disgruntled employees. I personally have known the owner of this business for almost 20 years and can attest to the fact that he has a great facility! He hires quality employees and makes sure that your pet is well cared for and treated as if it was his own. The facility is clean and the owner takes every precaution to keep your pet feeling comfortable while you are away!

Again, don't be fooled by the disparaging comments on this page. They were not from a real customer! If you are looking for day care, grooming, training or boarding, then this is the place!

Pros: Great value, great owner, great staff

★★★★★

Im not the person who has the time nor the patience to be writing reviews. I felt the need to after finding about a trash talker(user id Hannyatte)who is trying to hurt dog centers image. For those who dont know about dog centers, thay have a beautiful facility with a proffesional and most importantly, a caring staff. Ive been to many training and boarding facilities, but dog centers really stands out. Its clear to everyone reading the negative review that the person just made up every bad thing one could conjour up. It seems to me that this person has worked in the field of pet service and sales and maybe still is. The reason I say this is because the same day that the review was written, another nasty review was written about another pet facility. Just because you cant hold a job doesnt give you the right to trash talk about a business to satify your own ill will. Trust me, if this was a legitimate complaint, I would not be wasting my time. I do have a recommentation for this Hannyatte and that is, one should be more constructive in their writing.

Pros: facility, staff, reasonably priced

Cons: A little too far

★★★★☆

I've used Dog Centers of America on several occasions for boarding. Staff is very friendly. The best thing is they give the dogs extended play time during the day, much more than a typical kennel. Pricing is fair. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they don't have a pick-up or drop-off window on Sundays which forces me to board elsewhere on occasion.

Pros: daycare, extended playtime, friendly staff

Cons: no Sunday pickup
