Doctors Task and Hartman are the best, and so are the rest of the staff at Wellesley Animal Hospital. The care about the whole well-being of the pet and the emotional & economic well-being of the pet owner.
Our pet has a complicated set of severe allergies. He's ten and has gone to Wellesley Animal for all of his life. There are volumes of stories to tell about how beautifully the hospital treats him...
The amazing thing is that our pet dog seems to LOVE going there! All I have to say to "Luke" is "To the vet?" and then he gets very excited and runs to the car so that we can go!
One winter my siamese Willow ate some of the salt used to melt ice. He became dehidrated. When I got home from work I know something was wrong. They kept him overnight and when my mother checked on him in the morning she found Janet sitting with him hand feeding him and cuddling him. He is a gentle soul and Janet is also. That is the type of care you receive at Wellesley Animal Hospital. He came home that day feeling much better. I wouln't trust anyone else with my cats.
I am so impressed by the Wellesley Animal Hospital, and especially by its owner, Dr. Elizabeth Hartman! My three girls (cocker spaniels) are devoted clients. The oldest was one of Dr. H.'s first customers, when she opened 14 years ago. Throughout that whole time she and everyone there have offered genuine caring and top expertise. We are devoted to her.
Dr. Tast is one of the warmest and most compassionate vets I have ever encountered. She has a warm sense of humor and will, not let you down even in the darkest of time. The staff is professional and very helpful. Need it, they respond. You pet will get the best care possible.
Pros: just down right good.
Most experiences we have had with veterinary offices were positive. The staff was very friendly and caring. They all seemed to be genuine animal lovers. At Wellesley Animal Hospital, the staff is very cold and unfriendly. They do not seem to go out of their way to make your pet feel comfortable in a stressful time for your pet. We have been going here for over 1 year thinking that maybe they were having a bad day but our experience is the same every time we go there. We are looking for a different vet now.
Pros: Parking, convenient location off of Route 9 and Weston Rd.
Cons: Unfriendly staff
