Reale's makes a very good pizza and does well with pasta dishes as well. It's family friendly and a little kitschy.

I love this place. My wife and I come here often, mostly for the pizza, partly for the atmosphere. The people are very nice, service is quick, and they always get our order right. The pizza's the best part, though. It has crisp but not crunchy crust, flavorful sauce, and just the right amount of cheese. Definitely worth the price.

Pros: Pizza is amazing, service is great

Cons: A little pricy - but worth it

Pizza in Austin is generally doughy and bland to me. Only a few places seem to have thin but substantial and flavorful pizza. This is one. If you like tex-mex or ranch dressing then your palette is broken and you shouldn't eat here.

Pros: Excellent Pizza like we have in New Haven, CT.

Cons: None. I'm not hard to please.

My boyfriend and I found this place by mistake one day looking around the strip mall. The interior has a dainty homemade Italian feel and the people who work there are very friendly. We tried their white sauce pizza which we loved! The second time I tried their Chicken Parmesan, that was good too, but I really suggest going for the pizza!

I happened to stumble upon this location on a lunch break. There were lots of people hanging around and chatting with what seemed to be the owner or the owner's family which indicates they have a steady clentele. Everyone looks nice and friendly. Unfortunately when I actually tried my two slices of pizza I was disappointed. The pizza looks like NY style, but doesn't even come close to it in flavor. The bread was sort of hard and not crunchy. The tomato sauce was way too tangy.

Because they were so friendly, and it looks like it could have potential, I'll go one more time to try out the pasta. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Pros: Good People

I have been there about 3 times, the last being last Saturday. I was very happy with the Pepperoni and black olive pizza. I have had the chicken dishes and been very happy with them. It is becoming one of my favorite italian places.

Cons: Not open on Sunday

Ate at Reale's the other night. At the time, the food was reasonably tasty. That night, however, my wife had a little intestinal discomfort. We weren't able to verify the cause, so we chalked it up to the great unknown. I had the leftovers today, however, a short 2 1/2 days later. Despite the refrigeration, this caused me substantial problems.

Maybe it was an off night. Maybe we ordered the wrong item. Regardless, we won't be going back.

I must have a high standard of Italian food growing up in Chicago... after reading these reviews I was excited to try this place. The pizza wasn't good, the pasta was average... just not what I anticipated after
reading this websites comments. Rudino's is the closest we can come to Chicago pizza. This place had a crust like carboard and the sauce just didn't have much flavor.

I had the fruit of the sea pasta dish, and all I could taste was fish with no added flavors. The menu said it was with a garlic sauce, yet I could taste absolutely no garlic. A friend ordered a dish that was swimming in oil. Their breadsticks taste like bread and butter... no garlic, no salt. Salad was average... lettuce with 1 cucumber slice and some red onion. Nothing spectacular and the prices are on the high side.

I will say the service was very good and everyone was friendly.

I've been going to visit Bob, Gino and Tina for as long as I can remember. My father has been their contracted handyman since I was 8 years young. I went to high school with Tina and last night I was at the birthday party of Jasmine Brown whom was a long time waitress there before she became a mother. To keep it simple, this is a family restaurant. Ginos' inviting smile and firm handshake is almost always followed by a question about my family and how things are going. I think the same CD has been on rotation since the opening of the latest location, yet I never have to listen to it due to the chatty waitstaff or the witty laughter at the bar. Their slogan "Your home away from Rome" hit's the head on the nail! I have nothing to say about the food because it speaks for itself. Flip a coin, let it land on the menu and fate will leave you full, cheery and heartfully satisfied. If you've never eaten there, it'll just make my wait for a table that much shorter!

Pros: The chef salad is so simple you'll never figure out why you can't replicate it at home. I think they're made with googles of pride and respect for quality which shines in the staff.

Cons: OPEN ON SUNDAY GINO!!!!!!

.

I love this place! Their pizza (order it crispy), baked ziti, manicotti, spinach ravioli, lasagna, meatball subs (get lot's of napkins), are awsome! They have live entertainment on wednesdays ( a Sinatra singer) and thursdays (a guy who plays a balikia?). Great food, great service, family owned and operated. The owner, Bob Reale, will sometimes sit at your table, and tells some great stories. You've gotta try this place!!

A friend from New York recommended Reale's, and even though I live South of the river, I keep coming back...the cheese, the sauce, the crust...I don't know but it is a magical combination!

I am guessing the folks here who are positively reviewing this restaurant have never been to a Little Italy or anywhere near the New York metropolitan area. The food was abolutely terrible. The breadsticks were chewy, the brushetta was tooth-breakingly hard, and the Veal Saltimbocca was absolutely horrendous. The Chicken Alfredo was marginal, but that is hard to mess up. A bad Italian dining experience, but what should I expect being in Central Texas?

This place is small so expect a wait or a bad table. It's worth whatever you have to put up with (if you're snooty don't go there we would like to keep it to ourselves) This is the only place in austin you can get GOOD southern italian home cooking. Everyone else wants to serve fancy smantzie northern italian, if thats what you want go there. I'd just go for french and quit foolin around personally. The second best pizza in town. Try the peppers and sausage plate, OUTSTANDING.

This is a great restaurant for familes. Not only is the food good, but they have a nice children's menu, and upon request, they'll bring a little plate of cheese and pepperonis to the table for your child while you wait for your food.

My husband and I just moved from Providence, RI where the restaurants of Federal Hill are considered the benchmark for Italian cooking in the US. Without a doubt, Reale's measures up. As the Northeasterners among you know, Reale's pizza is everything it should be. The crust, the sauce, the cheese...perfect. The subs, pasta dishes and entrees that we tried are all excellent. The excellence here, however, comes at a price--a very reasonable price! The atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable. Many thanks to Reale's for making itself an instant favorite with us.

Reale's has really good food, generous portions, friendly service, pleasant Italian atmosphere and prices a family can afford.......what more could you ask for in a neighborhood restaurant? If you want upscale dining, go to Carmelo's. If you want decent franchancised dining, go to Olive Garden. But, if you want really good authenic homemade Italian food, that's a good value, in a friendly, cosy surroundings, try Reale's!

Reale's is that wonderful combination of great food and friendly, welcoming atmosphere. It is family-run and they always make you feel at home, even if you have lively kids, as we do! Wonderful place to take kids, and is also romatic later in the evening. The pizza is wonderful-thin, crisp crust, delicious sauce and the perfect amount of cheese. The pasta dishes are extremely flavorful-all in all, a wonderful experience. Go early, it is very crowded on the weekends!

Rickety patio tables, menus encased in plastic (for easy tomato-sauce removal), chatty waiters and dim lighting make for a cozy atmosphere. The boot-shaped map of Italy, colored in red and green, is prominently displayed…
