I took my dog to Battleground Hospital after some concerns. The veterinarian and staff were good. I have no complaints with the work they did.

My pets and I are extremely satisfied with the quality of service we receive from both the vet and staff members at Battleground Hospital for Animals. I have and will continue to recommend them to anyone in need of excellent care for their pets.

They went out of their way to call e in the evening time to let me know what was found on the x-rays for my pet. I was so happy because it definitely relieved stress about my pets health.

My new puppy needed to have blood transfusions, an IV, and also stayed there for about 10 days. You can imagine how much our bill was, but Battleground Hospital for Animals worked with us. They were helpful and understanding.

Dr. Russel has been our main veterinarian for our pets but everyone is really wonderful. He is so caring and thorough in all he does. Whenever there is a concern he is sure to explain it in depth and present us with the best options.

Through the years, we have received nothing less than superior care from Battleground Hospital for Animals. Our dogs have taken advantage of a wide variety of services there including surgery, wellness care, emergencies, nutrition and boarding. We have never been disappointed, and the prices are very competitive. We have seen all of their veterinarians, but recently it?s mostly Dr. Dawson. The facilities are clean and bright, and the staff is very professional, friendly and supportive. Their compassionate care is especially important when difficult decisions must be made. We now travel a considerable distance to the hospital, but it is worth the effort.

Battleground Animal Hospital is by far the cleanest, most welcoming animal hospital I have ever visited (and I've been in quite a few over the years). Staff is friendly and supportive. I couldn't have been happier with my experience... until I took a closer look at my bill.

If you make more than $50,000 a year you'll probably never care about the medication policy at Battleground, but for those of us will less fluid cash or a bigger batch of pets, the medication policy at Battleground just will not do. They charge a flat dispensing fee for all prescriptions regardless of quantity or type of medication. Need a refill on the same med- yep, you're paying it again. The dispensing fee on the medication I needed for my cat last month ended up being 96% the cost of the actual pill!!! It may seem like a flat $12 fee per medication just isn't that much, but I can't tolerate a policy that so blatantly generates exorbitant profits off of needy customers and their pets.

I thought my dog might have a UTI so I called Battleground. I did not want to pay for an exam because she had been seen about a month ago. I expressed this to them and they told me that she would not have to have an exam and that they would just run a urinalysis. I called two more times to ask questions and clarify what I had been told and each time I called they confirmed that an exam was not required. So I drove my dog 30 min. to the vet. When I got there I gave them her urine sample and waited 15 min before the receptionist told me that they would not tell me the results until my dog had an EXAM!! I told them that I had called three times and was told that an exam was not necessary. Therefore, the let me walk out the door with a sick dog because they were desperate for money. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE

I have been taking my pets to Dr. Jim and Bob for over 5 years and have never once been dis-satisfied! I find their Hospital to be very clean and organized and their staff to be genuine and kind!
I also have been impressed with how they always have time to see my pets. Dr. Bob even came saw me for an emergency one New Year's Eve after my beloved border collie had been hit by a car! They were able to not only save his life but also fix his knee the following DAY! Now, that's compassion! Thanks Battleground! :)

I consider myself lucky to have found Battleground. We have been going there since our puppy was 8 weeks old. Dr. Jim and Dr. Bob have been wonderful with my furbaby. They have been available to me when I have had questions and have been patient with me (I am a new dog owner). They have been my vet and I have boarded my puppy there several times. The staff treats my boy like he is one of theirs - he is always excited to go inside which tells me that he is being treated well. I have looked around at other offices and could NOT leave my little guy there.
Battleground is clean, well kept, and I have been happy with the care and knowledge of the staff.

My dogs used to vet here. However; during one time of boarding, when we returned home one of our dogs had an eye condition. They were "supposed" to be in an air conditioned area. They would not let me take them back and get them settled (had an excuse why I could not go back) as I always did previously ... anyway, when we got home and I inquired about the eye problem, they told me that he had "dry eye" and ordered medicine. I KNEW better because I had previously had him to an eye SPECIALIST in Atlanta. I knew he must have been in a hot environment. They finally admitted to me that they were having trouble with their air conditioning!!! They told me that they were going to forgo the vet fees to check him out (for the problem THEY caused) but charged me for the meds. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I wanted to talk to the owner about the issue but the receptionist said he was not available. I asked them to have him contact me. They said they would ... but never did. My dogs haven't been back ... and I recommend you don't take a chance with your babies either. We now have someone come to our home when we can't take our fur kids along.
