Located at the six corners in Bucktown/Wicker Park, Estelle's has been a neighborhood staple for the last decade. Estelle's is open every night until 4:00 am and 5:00 am on Saturdays, offering dinner and drink specials every night of the week. Stop by Estelle's on $2 Tuesdays when all micro brews are $2 or come in for $3 Thursdays featuring Absolut cocktails and Three Floyd's Gumball Head and Alpha King. With its art deco decor, combined with a great jukebox a friendly staff, and quality well-priced drinks, Estelle's remains the best rock bar Bucktown/Wicker Park has to offer. Friend us on Facebook - Estelles Cafenlounge. Our Facebook friends receive a $25 bar tab on their birthdays.

The Scene
Mildly swank with a touch of attitude: Retro-chic gals and rock-star-in-waiting guys mingle over a few Stellas after hours, while curious non-Wicker Parkers get an eyeful of the alt-scene. The late-night watering hole and kitchen features a long bar and works by local artists.

The Draw
The interesting crowd gets more intriguing as the night wears on. Three rotating taps and a good variety of brand bottles get the most play, and cocktail-seekers stick to basics like Jack and Coke. The late-night kitchen cranks out better eats than your average bar fare, including a balsamic vinegar-marinated portobello mushroom sandwich and seared ahi tuna with chipotle sauce on the side. Tunes tend to match the ever-evolving crowd, so expect to hear everything from Stevie Wonder and James Brown to Queens of the Stone Age and Fugazi.

Good late night fare

by Elisa C. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 853

If you are going to Estelle's for after hours, it is best to try to beat the late night crowd by a few minutes. Nothing worse than waiting in line at 2 in the morning. If you can snag a table, the service is good and the menu is really good pub fare (chicken fingers, sandwiches, fries...)

give me a break

by Craig F. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 5,690

The people at Estelle's take themselves far too seriously, particularly at 2/3 am when all the neighboring bars let out and people line up trying to cram in to a decidedly small, decidely average place. Just because you get uncomfortably crowded does not mean people *like* coming there. If they did, they'd show up before getting kicked out of their first choice of the night.

Good drinks and tunes in a relaxed space

by bethylou10

I've been coming to Estelle's for a few years. I started going when I lived a couple of blocks away, and keep going even though I'm not in the neighborhood anymore. The jukebox rocks and the drinks are stiff. Judy is a great server. I usually prefer to go earlier, before the late night crowd rolls through and the place gets packed.

Pros: Judy the server, jukebox, close to the Blue Line
