The best of quality and service
by musikmakers
Hobin and his entire crew are very customer focused. The food is always top-notch and the staff will make you feel like you are at home.
The sushi chefs are great at making that 'special' roll or serving up combinations that are off the menu.
Must try:
Bonito Tuna (when in season); Crunchy roll, Hana roll, and the Rainbow roll. Delish
Pros: top quality fish; imaginative, tasty rolls
Cons: small space - easily filled

Hana Best Sushi, Sashimi and Service!
by Love Hana
Hana's is an excellent example of what a great restaurant should be! It has the hightest quality of sashimi, sushi and creative, delicious rolls. The bento boxes are awesome for those who want a mix. The service here is extraordinary, you feel like you are visiting family. My friends and I have been coming to Hana's since it opened and it has been consistently delicious, always an awesome dining experience. Hobin, Karen, Kozo, Monica and crew continue to deliver the finest sushi in town while delighting customers! Any reviews that give anything less than 5 stars are off base & I challenge anyone to visit Hana's and see for yourself. Hana's is #1 all around.
Pros: Freshest and Finest Sushi, Sashimi, Rolls. Hobin's dressing!
Cons: Not one thing!

Profound disappointment
by cfhorne
August, 2007 . . . something's changed?
We've been going to Hana for years, and it's been one of our consistently good places.
In the last week, we went for the first time in a couple months and noticed changes. Changes in menu, food prep, staff, etc. Unfortunately, these are not good changes.
the sushi is still okay.
However, bento boxes (portion size, general quality, etc.) have suffered. Come on, why give such a meager bowl of miso soup??? It's cheap, for heaven's sake! Chicken teriyaki used to be very good, now it was mediocre (no longer simple grilled, now maybe breaded and fried somehow???? no grill marks, lame flavor, poor consistency). Also, why make the portions so skimpy ? (quality was sub-par, so not sure I would have eaten it all anyway).
So very sorry to have had such a lousy meal from a place we previously enjoyed so much.
Pros: Still a decent setting, basic sushi still okay
Cons: Bento boxes poor, teriyaki poor, meager portions

Best combination of quality, variety and value!
by mrshadow
I have been through countless sushi places all over the eastside and Seattle and I have to say I keep going back to Hana and being thoroughly impressed. Are there places that you can pay $20 for some fancy roll in Seattle that is the "trendy" place to be? Sure you can! I would rather get authentic Japanese food and amazing sushi for a very reasonable price. The staff are always incredibly attentive and the fact that they make an effort to learn your likes/dislikes makes this the most personable, comfortable and enjoyable place around. Just go, you wont be sorry.
Pros: I can't say enough about everyone and everything
Cons: Closed on Sundays :(

Oh My Goshhh...!!! Best Sushi Experience!!!
by clar3t
This place feels likes coming home and being welcomed by one big family -- staff and patrons alike! I visit Hana on a regular basis and each time I visit, I fall more in-love! The atmosphere is very friendly and feels cozy. What about the food?! Japanese food is my favorite and I am into all the raw fishes (except maybe sea anemone which I tried once) and more. I rarely order, but just let Kozo serve me the yummy stuff, and he (and Hobin) remembers what I like! They are amazing! Thank you Hobin, Kozo, Mama and the rest of the staff for such an incredible eating experience every time!!!

Great Find
by huskyduck
Who woulda thought you could find top notch sushi in Bothell? Well, you can at Hana Sushi. Clean as a whistle, polite and efficient service, relaxed atmosphere and really good food. Oh, and tons of parking outside.
As good as Izumi or Kikuya on the Eastside or any of the Seattle institutions like Saito, Shiro's or Nikko.
Pros: Very Clean, Endless Parking, Top Notch food

Just came back from NY - used Citysearch to look for nice sushi place in Theater area and found Raku, a wonderful spot. But I forgot to rate Hana back home. So I now submit that Hana is now my favorite - sushi is very fresh & love the various selections. Hobin is very accomodating. A nice gem with so many sushi places to choose from!
Pros: fresh fresh fresh, friendly/great svce, parking

The Best on the Eastside
by musicmakers
The great thing about really good sushi at Hana is it's about more than just eating the food. Hobin and the staff make an evening's dinner into an international experience.
The food is great, the chefs top-notch, the staff terrific. Yup, you gotta wait sometimes, but it really is worth it. We have a hard time going to any other restaurant.
Pros: Free parking, relaxed atmosphere, really fresh fish

Taste great, less filling
by hebee
Tasty, fresh sushi. Not all rice with little fish portions like some places.
Japanese dishes are excellent. Though they do lack a beef dish for those who do not want fish or chicken.
The best place for sushi eaters.
No longer a secret, because it's getting busier. Yet you still don't have to wait very often.
Pros: Very friendly staff, Generous hosts

Best!
by touli79
We have never had to wait, the service is impeccable, the sushi always fresh. Plenty of free parking...there is a large lot behind the restaurant. Hobin is by far one of the best owner/chefs in the greater Puget Sound area. This is truly the BEST of BOTHELL.

the Best bar non
by timotlc
I have ben to over 200 Sushi Restraunts through out the world, and part of eating suhi is the relationship you have with the staff at the restraunt , the quality of the food and the atmospher, Hana has it all. The redtraunt was named after thier daughter. Hobin is the main Suhi chef and owner so he makes sure you are happy. There is no better place to eat than where the owner does the work. You must try it once. I have not eaten at any Sushi resraunt in seattle since I have started gong to Hana.
Pros: Hobin the sushi man, great fun,and people, The best Suho bar non
