I went there with my Labrador to find out about PRP treatments and conservative management for a torn cruciate. I found the fees to be not the cheapest, and not the most expensive. But I believe I got full value for what I spent. My dog has underlying health problems, and I was concerned about anesthesia complications. Dr. Brown spent over an hour with me, explaining that while the PRP & Stem Cell treatments have a ton of promise, it was still NOT the best option for my dog. He made some suggestions on the pending surgery, and helped me understand the risks and benefits. The consult fee I paid was not at all out of line for the service I received. Dr. Brown took the time needed to make me comfortable with the decision, despite the fact that he was not going to do the treatments. Snapper is now 2 months post surgery, doing well, and we are looking forward to scheduling her rehab - part of which will be done at Central Animal Hospital.

I am sorry to say this hospital does not care about anything except the money they can get from you! The bills are outrageous and if you dare to question anything the doctors or staff tell (not ask) you to due they try to make you feel like you are unfit to have any pets and that you don't care about taking care of them. The doctors are abrupt and make you feel like you are wasting their time and the technicians are loud and obnoxious. There are many, many other hospitals out there that will give much more compassion and professional care. So pleas don't end your search here.

My dachshund, who had disk surgery, was unable to walk when we brought him to Dr Brown. After 8 weeks of water therapy, we left with a dog who could walk. I've seen comments about the price of this office's care, to them I have to

First off I will say that this office was very clean and the techs and the vet were very friendly to my animals. I have only been there twice but will not be going back after tonight. Not sure if things are done here differently in Florida but I am from Michigan and have been down here a little over a month. First off on my first visit with both my dogs my appointment exceeded 2 hours time. This second visit today for a booster set of puppy shots took an hour, with 35 minutes of that spent in the waiting room. I have no problem if an emergency comes in and has to be seen first but this was not the case. I told the tech that saw me that I was upset with this. The vet comes in and tells me that it is a busy day today before Thanksgiving (I was not told it would be this way when I made the appointment earlier this week) and that he has to wait 2-3 hours for his orthopedic surgeon. I suggested that he at least tell his staff to apologize to us for the long wait ahead of time, this may have alleviated my less than stellar mood when I finally saw him. He did not apologize for the time and I felt very dismissed. Then I got the bill. I have no problem paying for my animals needs but I do not like to be taken advantage of. First off just to see him is $56 dollars (per animal), this time I was told that I would see a vet tech at $30 but he came in again at the reduced rate of $47 dollars. What did he do for that money??? Looked at my dog and administered two shots. 2 shots today cost $110 dollars. If you have a lot of extra money and a ton of spare time to spend sitting in his waiting room then this is the vet for you. I will not be returning here again.

Business Response:

Thank you, Jennifer K, for your comments. We take feedback like yours very seriously, and have been working hard since you posted this comment to improve our client wait times and general overall customer service. We have made some staffing changes and continue to analyze our systems for improvement so we can provide the best customer & patient care possible. We realize that veterinary care and pricing does differ from state to state. At any time, our clients may ask for a detailed estimate of their treatment plan, even for routine vaccinations, and we are happy to provide that so there are no surprises. We are sorry that this service may not have been communicated to you at that time. We understand your frustration at the longer than normal wait time during your visit; apparently the technician at that time failed to inform the practice manager of your concerns, which is what we would have preferred so that they could have been addressed with you promptly. Once again, thank you for your feedback.

I recently took my puppy boston terrier into Central Animal Hospital and I was just amazed at the attention I received from the staff as I walked in! They catered to all my puppy and I's needs and made me feel right at home just on my first visit! The practice manager had asked me if I would like a tour, so as the ladies at the front desk were gathering papers and making up a record for Bugs (my puppy), I got a personal tour of the facility by their practice manager! Everyone was so friendly and I was extremely surprised to find out that the whole place didn't smell like dogs. Even their kennel area where all the dogs stay! The entire place smelled clean and they burn these awesome candles in the lobby that are just for pet odors and they smell wonderful. I was so incredibly astounded with the first impression, i was in love immediately. Then I realized it only got better! Right after the five minute tour of the facility I was guided back to the lobby and greated by a doggie nurse who escorted us into a room to get the details on Bugs. Dr. Brown, the vet, came in shortly after and was such a gem. He is just darling. It was totally obvious he loves what he does and is 100% engaged and concerned with the health and well being of the pet, and the owner, me! By the end of my visit I was on cloud nine with all the positive feedback I had encountered during my visit. I established a great relationship with the doctor, his staff and it is so apparent they all are there for the animals and love what they do. I already booked my appointment for three weeks to go back and get Bug's booster vaccines and I can't wait! This was a great experience and the best vet office I've ever been to. I would recommend this office to EVERYONE, no matter what your needs. I read through some brochures and Dr. Brown has an infinite level of knowledge and experience. He is constantly going back to school to learn the latest techniques and procedures in order to perform the best he can for the animals. I have so much faith in this vet office and I am so thankful I found them.
