White Orchid Salon

I have been going to White Orchid Salon for over a year now and first discovered them by working nearby. Cam, Sith and Douglas are awesome when it comes to pampered service....their personal attention to me as a client and the wonderful ambience of the salon as you walk in makes me always feel welcome. I won't go anywhere else. Douglas was the first hairdresser that actually worked with my hair and cut a style which requires is very natural and no problem to maintain. I get compliments on my hair, face, pedicure, etc., wherever I go. Bless you guys! I love ya!

I have been going to White Orchid Salon regularly (which is at least every two weeks, if not more frequently!) for nearly two years. Kham is simply the best for nails, and particularly pink and whites. I won't get my nails done anywhere else; there is simply no comparison. I am often complimented on how nice my nails look.

Douglas, the hair professional at White Orchid, is wonderful. He's a delightful person with a great personality, and he absolutely saved my damaged hair (and me from baldness due to my own stupidity!) and updated my look for a "new me."

I have also experienced massages at the salon, and have been extremely satisfied.

The salon atmosphere is friendly, relaxing, and cozy. One feels like he or she is among friends, and it's impossible to leave without a smile.

I trust Kham and Douglas completely, and that is not something I take lightly. I would absolutely recommend this salon, and the services provided.

Kham the owner does a fabulous job and is very through doing a pedicure, she is also great at pink & white nail fills, I have been going to Kham for 8 years. She is the best. Their massages are terrific also. She is so good I actually got my boyfriend to start getting pedicures there too.

The whole staff is very friendly and it is a beautiful atmosphere inside.

MUST SAY i thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to this salon. the girls are very facilitating including a confirmation call the night before. upon my arrival i felt very welcomed & was offered a beverage & greeted by two of the girls with genuine smiles & hellos! i had only booked for massage but requested a pedi after & was fit right in by miss sith. i receive regular massages but wanted to compare since i was paying waaaay too much currently. the therapist was very understanding when i explained what areas were in need of relief & also very knowledgable & receptive to the pressure i requested. when she was done i felt as if i was completely renewed & rested. my pedicure was so fun & miss sith kept me informed with how to treat my feet. didnt feel rushed at all and sooo enjoyed her special exfoliation. everyone was very professional & i ended up paying much less then my regular spa, i am definately coming back for an extraordinary spa experience!!!

I received a gift card from this god forsaken place and have scheduled not one but two appointments that were never in the books. When I arrived for the first one the lady (if that is what you would call her) told us we must have overbooked my appointment. I rescheduled for the following week and received no confirmation call. When I called this to double check my appt time they have no record of me or my credit card. I asked them if they were going to find a way to fit me in or I would take my business elsewhere. They said "sorry, no can do." ...interestingly I was charged for a no show. WTF! DO NOT spend your money here. There are far more competent and qualified businesses in the Saint Petersburg area.

I have been going to White Orchid for more than a year. I have always received excellent service and I'd even go so far as to say extraordinary service. Sith takes great care in making sure she is thourough. I will keep coming back over and over again. I also hear that they have a great massage therapist! This is a full serice salon with professional and congenial employees.

I was in this salon last week to get my hair and nails done. The staff was very nice and accomodating. The hair stylist was able to give me exactly what i wanted for my hair.. She was very thorough and examined my hair and asked questions before starting. The nail tech was very nice. She did a very good job on my nails and feet. The atmosphere was upbeat and professional.. I booked another apt before leaving. Great spa experience... Next time im getting a facial! Thanks you guys!!

I was bought a gift certificate for White Orchid. This was my worse experience at a salon/spa ever. The "spa" pedicure and manicure was not spa quality or anywhere close. In fact, I have had a better manicure/ pedicure at WalMart and the mall's nail shop. The experience was ruined by the whiny hair dresser that I could hear complain the entire time about her relationship. The manicurist gave a horrible pedicure and manicure. The "spa" pedicure consisted of letting my feet soak for like 35 minutes, then quickly trimming, filing, and painting my nails along with about a minute massage on each leg. She put the paint on so thick that even after an hour and a half waiting for it to dry, it was still wet. I had gotten the pedicure around 2:30-3:00pm. I thought is was safe to put on socks around 9:30pm cause I was going out and since it had rained, sneakers would be better. I was so disappointed when I took off the socks, every single nail was messed up. The manicure was also completely destroyed by the end of the night. I was just happy that I did not get a massage cause the massage therapist was complaining of fever and chills to the other girls that worked there. Yeah, and she was working on clients. Save your money, go somewhere else.

When I walked in to my apt for a hair cut and color I was greeted with smiles. I was offered water. The stylist greeted me with complete attention. He totally knew what my shape and length should be. I felt very comfortable. And I never had anyone cut my hair because of horror stories i have heard from people when they go to aveda or somewhere like that. I was very pleased with my hair and my black hair was not dull anymore. I came back few days later and got my nails done. THe manicurist was awesome. She was quick and thorough. From what i heard the salon has made a positive turnaround with new management now. It was a very good experience. Go in and give it a try people..... They do nails, massage, hair, wedding and birthday packages. Thanks guys!

In the "what you should know section", I believe it says "appointments preferred." HA. Right. I arrived 10 minutes early to my 1:00 appt. I'm coldly greeted by the blonde in the front as she's singeing someone's hair. She rudely asks me if I have an appt and I tell her yes...when she cuts me off to say "oh, it must be with . Hmph."

Right.

12:50 turns to 1:15 when some lady from the back comes to tell me that my colorist is going to be a little late.... "Oh, okay - no worries - I'll just read my magazine - how late?"

An hour.

An hour late for an appt and your OTHER stylist was rude to me?

no thanks.

I went to the Aveda salon instead - they fit me right in and were SUPER nice about it.

Just tried the White Orchid for a manicure and pedicure. I called on Monday for an appointment on my day off which was Thursday. My appointment time was set for 3 pm . I set it for that time because I had another appointment with the dentist earlier that day and wanted to make sure I had time between each. When I arrived at 3 pm there were three girls sitting in there chatting. They didn't greet me, just looked at me when I came in. I told them I was there for my appointment with the manicurest. She was one of those sitting there and said the appointment she had was for 2 pm. The other girl there was one of the receptionists but had not made the appointment and disappeared to the back of the shop to return to tell me that the time set was 2pm. I assured them that I had made the time 3pm because I had another appointment earlier that day. There was mumbling amongst the three girls and the third girl said she would do the manicure and pedicure for me. This is only the second time I have ever had a manicure and pedicure so I am naive about spas and their staff responsibities.

Too sum things up the girl who supplied the services was the massage therapist, the manicurest had no other appointments until 5 (which is when I was being finished up) and not once did any of them apologize for the misunderstanding. I paid my bill and tipped the girl because she did try to help out. I had asked her to trim my nails shorter but she would only use the nail file and after being in there for over two hours I just wanted to leave. So based on that first experience with this salon I will not go back.
