Apparently, the Fireplace Warehouse does not like to service what it sells. When I have needed service, I could not get this company to come out. Last winter, I was told someone would get back to me (You don't ever get to talk to the service department directly.), and after waiting 2 weeks, I gave up & called someone else. Last summer, I had an appointment scheduled, and the tech never showed up. Because I cannot get this place to come out, I have had to call third parties, who, apparently are not all that experienced, and this has left me extremely frustrated in getting the repairs made satisfactorily. I think my fireplace has had an unusually-high number of problems, for which I do not hold the Fireplace Warehouse responsible, but I do expect the company to be there to assist me in resolving them, since I paid good money for this fireplace. And not all of the problems have been simply operational; some have been real safety issues, such as a gas leak and a carbon-monoxide leak last winter. The fire department had to be called both times. I can only assume that others have not had the same number of issues, because the fireplace industry would go out of business if they did. I certainly never dreamed I would ever have all these problems in the 3 short years that I've had this thing. I certainly would not buy another Napoleon product, and I certainly would not buy from the Fireplace Warehouse.

After several attempts to get the unit fixed, little was accomplished. Several months passed with email correspondence and unreturned phone calls. Finally, this fall, we spoke to the Warranty Specialist and were advised at that time that the company had gone bankrupt and the new company was not the same. The previous company was Fireplace Warehouse LLC, while this company is Fireplace warehouse ETC. However, although told that the old company and new company were completely separate, they are still holding all of the accounts and easily accessed all of our information. She went ahead and completed a warranty request for one of the broken parts. When asked about service, we were told they would not support the pellet stove and told us to find a technician. Unable to do so, my husband was advised to fix it himself. When the stove was pulled out, the wiring was burned, causing a potential fire hazard. The wiring was replaced, but we fear for the safety of our family if the stove ever does become operational again and causes the new wires to burn as well. Meanwhile, we are in the midst of winter and forced to run our very expensive electric heat, costing $400 per month and keeping the house at no warmer than 60 degrees. When I demanded to speak to someone in charge, I was given a number to a recorded message. Now we have a large piece of junk sitting in our living room with no apparent recourse.

DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Great salesmanship, bottom of the barrel customer service on follow-up. We bought a pellet stove and remote control; after only 2 months of use, the remote has only worked sporadically, leaving us to manually turn on and off the stove. We have been trying to get either a service call or a replacement, but now that Fireplace Warehouse has our money, they could clearly care less about customer satisfaction. I will also be writing to Quadra-Fire (great stove, crummy remote) to recommend finding another group to be their dealership. Again, if you get lucky enough not to need any followup service, use Fireplace Warehouse. Otherwise, skip it, and find another dealership or another brand.

We called on Fireplace Warehouse when we were in search of a part for our very old swamp cooler. They were extremely helpful in helping us determine which part we actually needed and were able to get it in stock fast.
