The Lenox Hotel is dedicated to making your stay incredibly memorable. The Lenox Hotel in Boston is an AAA Four Diamond property, a member of Historic Hotels of America, and prominently featured on Conde Nast Traveler's "Green List."
I planned this trip for my husband as a surprise before our first baby comes in January. I work in the Hotel industry and found myself taking notes about how to improve my 4 star property through stealing ideas from the staff of the Lenox.
Upon arrival, valet was prompt, quick and informational. Led us into the front desk for our check in. The front desk staff answered all of my questions, pointed me to great restaurants, shopping ect. Asked if I needed anything special and why I was visiting Boston. I felt like family! We walked into our room and immediately, the phone was ringing to see if "everything was to our liking". I had prearranged for sparkingling cidar and chocolate covered strawberries to be delievered and they were waiting for us!
The room was a handicapp accessible room (which we didn't need) but enjoyed the space! The view...there wasn't one, but that was not on our list of important details. The bathroom was VERY spacious and clean. The only little problem...the sink counter space is way to small to put any of your toiletries on. If that's all I have to complain about, then it was a perfect stay.
The conceirge knows his stuff and doesn't hesitate to reccommend places to eat, shop ect. Also, the manager on duty in the lobby greets EVERYONE with personal contact of a hello, nod, smile or a question about their stay.
Perfect location for the Hotel, as we walked all over the city. Close to Newbury, Fenway, and if you're up to is, Faneuill Hall. I would absolutely go back to this hotel!!
Pros: Great location

My wife and I stayed at the Lenox for one night for our anniversary. We know Boston well and wanted to try it for its great location. We were very pleasantly surprised. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The hotel, while older, is very clean and comfortable ... and the location is as good as it gets. Our room was fairly small but comfortable with a small bathroom but nice shower. Flat screen TV and wireless internet were nice touches.
Pros: Great staff, unbeatable location, comfortable
Cons: Pricey, but not unreasonable for the area

I got married at The Lenox last fall and feel the need to rave about my experience.
Everything was great and beautifully decorated.
The coordinator, KrisTina, was awesome as well as all the other staff that particpated from the bellman to the man at the front desk, the servers, coordinator...everyone!
The food and service was EXCELLENT. Everything truly exceeded my expections. The wedding suite was gorgeous.
I am still hearing raves from friends and family who attended. A lot of out of town guests stayed at the hotel and all agreed that it was well worth what you pay.
The Lenox is located in a great part of Back Bay near shopping and restaurants and has several on sight bars that were great as well.
Pros: Great staff

I recently stayed at the Lenox Hotel in Boston and I have to say that the stay far exceeded my expectations! The lobby was recently renovated and was absolutely stunning - from the moment I arrived the staff was friendly and helpful. The guest room was much larger than expected and looked newly renovated - and to my surprise I had a working fireplace that was quite romantic! Located in Back Bay the hotel is near Newbury Street and the Copley Place mall, plenty of shopping opportunity and lots of restaurants to choose from - although we did have dinner in Azure and it was probably one of the best meals I've ever had! Every level and aspect of our stay was perfect and I've already recommended to several family members and friends!
Pros: Great location, spacious room, awesome staff!
Cons: Parking expensive (like everywhere in the city!)

I stayed here all expenses paid while being flown in to the city for an interview. I'd say that it is probably a place I can't afford but it was pampering. The concierge was also a big help in getting advice, opening doors and stopping cabs during snow storms.

The Lenox is not an economical stay for sure but it's very much worth the expense. The rooms are well maintained and appointed, no missing amenities, and you will find the staff not only friendly but especially helpful. The concierge desk at any hour is the place to stop for suggestions, ideas. Whether you are a first time visitor to the city or you've been there often, the concierges there always have great suggestions and little unknown to the general public nuggets that will make your trip that much more pleasant.
Pros: Top Notch Service
Cons: Expensive but worth it

My parents stay at the Lenox everytime they come to visit in Boston and they LOVE it. Won't stay anywhere else. If you like a fairly traditional ambiance, you'll love it here...I think my Mom likes it because it reminds her of her own home...antiques, cozy and very historic/traditional decor. The staff is usually very nice, although sometimes the front desk can have a bit of an attitude. No question about it, this is a great place to stay. City Bar and Solas are great bars and have very different atmospheres, so there is something for everyone here.

We got a large corner room with a fireplace and extremely comfortable beds. The room was so quiet I thought we were the only ones there. The staff was very curtious and restaurants were great. Plus, you can't beat that location. I would stay there again.

The Hotel lobby is nice. My husband and I stayed in a moderate room with a king sized bed and full bath on the 9th floor. The room had potential, the look and "feel" were nice, but the couch, bedspread, curtains, wallpaper, etc. were all pretty worn out. We stayed at the Lenox Hotel based on its "romantic" reputation, but I was a little disappointed, as I think the flame in our room was slowly fading.
Pros: Aveeda amenities, Location
Cons: worn furniture, no parking

Great small luxury hotel. Excellent helpful staff and nicely appointed rooms. Restaurant is great - check out the Sunday Jazz Brunch! Centrally located close to shopping, other great restaurants, and the T.

"Nice club, great performers, but the "200-seat" capacity cited in the description ..."
