I had to bring my very sick cat into the I-10 Pet Emergency clinic late at night. Frisky was 14 years old,and not doing well. As soon as I walked into the clinic, the staff asked me questions, and took him into the back to evaluate him. Dr. Zachary was SO patient with me as I tried to figure out what I was going to do. She sat with me for a long time as I talked about him and stroked him. I eventually ended up putting him to sleep that night so that he would not be in any more pain. Dr. Zachary was so caring and understanding. This was such a difficult and emotional time for me. I will always be grateful for their compassion and kindness. Thank you!!

Our vet recommended I-10 Pet Hosptial after we had a horrible experience at another 24/7 pet hosptial. We were skeptical about this one but that all went away after just a few minutes there. The staff was great, we were helped within minutes and were treated as if we were the only ones there. They took care of our cat as if it was one of their family memebers. Dr. K and the rest of the staff saved our cat's live with surgery that couldn't wait - they rearranged their schedule for this. My wife and I were so gratefully for their dedication. Highly recommended.

Given the serious condition of our dog, our local vet recommended we take him to I-10 Pet Emergency Clinic. The staff was highly professional and caring in every respect. Through their efforts and help from the good lord, am pleased to report that our dog has regained his health. Sincere thanks to the entire I-10 staff. We are fortunate indeed to have this 24hr/7day pet emergency asset in our community.

My baby bunny, Lucky, was hanging on by a thread. I rushed him to I-10 Pet Emergency and as soon as I was out of my car the staff had the door open and were ready to take him to the back. They were able to calm me down and save my bunny's life.The doctor and nurses were all very reassuring and I could not have trusted anyone with my Lucky as much as I-10 Pet Emergency. I could not imagine taking any of my five bunnies anywhere else. Thank you so much to everyone at I-10 Pet Emergency for saving my baby Lucky.

Mid February my poodle Keelie became very ill. It was recommended by my Vet that she be transferred to an pet emergency hospital where she could be monitored 24 hrs. Not knowing any of the emergency pet hospitals in San Antonio , I asked for recommendations. I was given two hospitals to choose from, one of which was the IH-10 Pet Emergency Hospital. Even though it was on the other side of town for me and I new it would involve a lot of driving, I couldnt have made a better choice. From the moment I walked in the door with Keelie, I new she was in good hands. They immediately took her to the back and examined her and then sat down with me and explained everything to me. They encouraged me to come visit as often as I wanted, and when I did, they bought a blanket with Keelie and we were able to go to one of the exam rooms where we spent quality time together where I could hold and lover her for as long as I wanted. Dr Finkelstein and Dr Kiklevich kept me informed of her progress and answered all my questions. As for the techs, well, they went above and beyond to ensure Keelie was taken care of and upon discharge, I fully understood everything that needed to be done. \r

This is the first time I have walked into a Vet Hospital and felt that they sincerely care for the well being of my animal and quickly felt that she immediately became there baby as well as mine. Dr Finkeistein and Dr Kiklevich well, there just arent words to describe how wonderful they are and how much I appreciate what they did for Keelie. Keelie is doing well now, but it was a long road to recovery. If not for the staff and doctors at the IH-10 Emergency Pet Hospital, I do not believe I would have Keelie with me today. I highly recommend the IH-10 Emergency Pet Hospital. They are the BEST! \r

I took my puppy to I10 Pet Emergency when he suddenly started to have seizures. I was so pleased with the folks there. They not only tended to my sick puppy but also nurtured me as I was definately more upset than the puppy. I highly recommend these folks and commend them for the job they do. I couldn't have been happier with the service I received there. I have told all my friends about them.

IH 10 Pet Emergency was a godsend for my sweet Nipsy. She had been through an attack by another dog and was in pretty bad shape. Our primary veterinarian referred the hospital to us. As soon as we walked in the door, they immediately took Nipsy to the back and started to work on her. The doctor came out andgave us an assessment on her condition and explained what they would be doing for her. Before we left and turned Nipsy over to their care, they encouraged us to go back and see her. They aso encouraged us to come back the next day and visit her. I have never had this happen before and was delighted to see where she would be. They feel that an animal does better if their owner visits them. I was quite surprised at the number of staff that was there in the back tending to the animals. All of the staff have so much compassion for the animals that are there. You can tell they love what they are doing and truly love animals. The second day Nipsy was there I went to visit her and took her for a walk out back. I was so grateful and comforted to be able to spend time with her when just 24 hours earlier I didn't know if she was going to make it. I was extremely pleased with the medical care Nipsy received and the loving way it was administered. Also, the fact that they are open 24 hours is very important, we we did not have to move Nipsy back and forth between locations. Thanks to the wonderful care of my primary veterinary, Dr. Stacy Tipton at Lakehills Veterinary Clinic, and this emergency hospital, Nipsy is doing very welland on the road to recovery. I highly recommend IH 10 Pet Emergency. I know it will be the only pet emergency hospital I will use if needed. God Bless them all!

I want to give the staff at I-10 Pet Emergency a big thank you for how well they've taken care of my cat, Daisy, over the past 3 years. I took her in for a visit last week and as usual, they took extremely good care of her - and of me! Dr. Johnson diagnosed Daisy's UTI and carefully explained everything to me. I am impressed with her knowledge of older cats. I really think it's important to make a point of telling people about the truly excellent businesses in our community. I-10 Pet Emergency has been so good to me and to my cat. Daisy is my sweet, little furry companion and it makes me feel very secure to know that I can always count on the team at this clinic.

We love I-10 and Dr. Finkelstien. Before I say anything, I feel the need to explain that we have a chinchilla rescue. It can be tricky finding quality vet care for chinchillas, they are very particular animals and vets really need to know their stuff. We were referred both by a friend's neighbor and by a vet we brought our sick chinchilla to, when it became apparent her issues were too extensive for that vet. So far she has seen 5 of the chins with us, with plans for her to see them all. We have been bringing in the most urgent cases first--the ones with dental issues.

Dr. Finkelstien has done several x-rays for us (she and another vet there have come up with the idea of taking x-rays while the chins are awake, usually they have to be under anesthesia to get good ones, but the staff have worked together to accomplish this quite well); dental procedures; wellness checks; etc.

When we go in, we always fill out a form (one per chin) so the vet and staff can get the general idea of the chin's history and medical issues. Sometimes we wait, because there are more urgent cases, sometimes we go right in or we are the urgent case. The staff is always very helpful and kind, they are easy to communicate with. They demonstrate a love of animals, and we often see them coming or going with their own pets.

I highly recommend I-10 to everyone, emergency or no. The vets and staff are the best in San Antonio, in the top 5 for the entire state. It is well worth it to bring your pets here.

It is very hard to find a good vet that will treat exotic animals such as chinchillas, so when I found this place I was hooked. The staff is very friendly, professional, and quick. They took great care of my baby and even called me a few days later to follow up on his health. They made me feel comfortable and confident that my baby would be taken care of and time after time have proven their passion and love for animals. I will never go anywhere else and am forever grateful to Doctor Finkelstein and her staff.

I had the unfortunate experience of having to rush my pet to an after hours emergency center. I went to this emergency clinic because my neighbor was so impressed by the service here. My dog had just swallowed an avocado pit and i didn't know what to do. They took her right in and started working on her. They let me stay while she had her surgery and even let me visit with her several times after she recovered. They went above and beyond to take care of my pet and to make sure I understood what was going on through the entire process. They even made sure to keep in contact with my regular veterinarian so I could follow up with him for my recheck appointment. I would not hesitate to use them again. I absolutely recommend this emergency hospital!

I took my Labrador Retriever here on 9/6/09 because she was having runny stool. The technician came around the counter immediately to take a look at her. We saw a doctor within a very short time, and our dog was given a thorough exam. A suggested treatment plan was given to us with all charges outlined, and we could decide which tests we wanted performed. The tests were done, and we were told the results within a very reasonable period of time. The doctor outlined the treatment plan, treatment was given quickly, and we were on our way. The prescription food the doctor suggested was even provided at no charge. Dr. Finklestein was the doctor we saw, and we were very impressed with her. There is nothing that this clinic could have done any better to care for our sick dog.
