Fantastic coffee. Hip place. I go out of my way to have a latte here, and they do the milk foam like they do in the Pacific Northwest - in pretty shapes!

Amazing coffee... I had been struggling to find good coffee in NYC and even in the US but this place fills the gap. They make consistently good coffee and even know how to make a flat white (I'm from New Zealand).
It's small with no seating (there's a bench outside in summer) so don't expect to hang around inside. This isn't Starbucks so don't bother if you normally drink huge mugs of sugary badness.
Pros: great coffee, tasty pastry
Cons: no sitting room, can get crowded
I ordered the $4 large latte and when I opened the cup there was a pretty design of a flower made with from the foam. It was cute, set the tone for great cup of Latte. Flurries outside, I needed a fix. Later realizing that the coffee wasn't filled to the top. I asked the female barrista if she can add a little more milk. After initial bad attitude and a response of "I already filled it" she got a little defensive and said that she will make me another latte. Told her to just add a little milk in mine and that's about it. Adding cold milk would only risk a cold drink with the cold temp outside. Well, in the end she made us another latte so I ended with two lattes. OVerall, her initial response got me worried about this place but in the end it was fine. Small place so hard to walk around.
Pros: Seemed like regulars hung out there
Cons: Small place and no sweets sold there
