Serenity Salon & Spa

I am going to have a much deserved massage and haircut tomorrow at Serenity Salon and Spa after a hard week at work. I know I will be treated special as usual and get pampered like I am a VIP. The staff there are friendly and very accomodating. If your looking for an affordable yet luxurious experience, then head on over to Serenity for a massage, facial, waxing, or a new hairstyle or color, and you will be happy you did! See you there!

I have tried many salons before finding Serenity, so I know finding the right salon is difficult and frustrating for women. Serenity has been a god semd for my hair. After relocating from AZ many salons did not have the friendly, professionalstaff that Serenity has, My hair has never looked better and I consider myself a hard person to please with regards to my hair. Jaime is fabulous!

Choosing a new hair stylist is a big deal to me, as I'm sure it is for many women. Got my hair cut by Marisa for the first time & was thoroughly pleased. She was very friendly & attentive to my needs. My cut turned out great! Will definitely go back to her again.

Good service I received today. I was not expected to have the extra attention for the eyebrow service. Nice place, clean and beautiful people. Love the way my hair was done by Jaime.. Love the place. I will be back!

AnnaMarie was just wondersul. I had a little pain in my neck and legs and it is gone. Her pressure was just right. She also made me feel very comfortable. The steam shower was awesome and the scrub was just wonderful! My skin feels so soft. Great experience!

I have been coming to Serenity Salon and Spa for the past few months and I haven't been happier! I could never get the "right blonde" but they sure do. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my hair!

I begin this review by saying that I can't honestly give Serenity the two stars I had originally intended. I don't think it's fair to assess their overall talent and customer service by one experience, but as many of these reviews may be motivated by free products--more on that later--and as I did have an unsatisfactory experience, I think my results are worth noting.

Pros: friendly staff; lovely interior; lots of perks for regular clients (see more of other reviews on specifics/points program).

Cons: I spent time reading through reviews to select my stylist, and when I went in for my appointment, I did not get the stylist I had booked. I didn't want to make a scene, so I went with it and assumed that I would get--at bottom--decent results, considering the amount of positive reviews for this salon/spa.

Unfortunately, my cut and color were unsatisfactory, to say the least. The problem with my cut that I carefully discussed with my stylist was, in fact, accentuated not de-emphasized, and to make matters worse, I was left with over-saturated color (dark, nearing black) at the ends with a starting-to-go-brassy brown at the roots (just two color safe shampoos in). Consequently, I'm not going back. I know I've only experienced one stylist, but the fact that I didn't get the stylist I booked, along with the really poor results that followed, ensure that I won't return.

I assume that many people are happy and satisfied with Serenity and their staff. Clearly, they are the most reviewed spa/salon for the area. When I read through their reviews to make my choice, I just assumed the volume of positive reviews meant that they were "that good." And they might be, but they also incentivize their clients. As I left, I noticed a chalk board announcing a "free hair product" for positive reviews. That's smart, and there's nothing wrong with it, but I think folks should know this in advance.

The staff is so warm, friendly and talented! The atmosphere is very relaxing. I really enjoyed my makeover. I am extremely happy with it :-) I love Serenity! Thanks again for doing wonders at the Ponytail Drive! :-)

I was so happy to discover this spa. The membership benefits are amazing, the atmosphere very upscale and relaxing. I have had a facial, blow-out, and massages, and all were good. I love the availability of a steam shower after the massage.

First when you walk in, the waiting area is so relaxing and inviting!! Everyone is very professional!! Excellent experience!!! Would definately recommend to friends and family!!

Loved the product, it kept my color in longer and fresher looking. I would recommend using this product so you don't have to get your color touched up as much.

Not only did my hair color come out perfect- (JUst what I wanted) but as an added bonus my hair was done by Gianna -- who is a genius with color and a sweetheart of a person.

I started coming to Serenity last year and don't plan to ever go anywhere else for a haircut. I haven't had any complairs and have only compliments about my hair. Gianna does a great job and both my youngest daughter and I LOVE HER! My older daughter comes to Serenity and had a fabulous "Pro" hair stlye and make -up

I would like to say, Gianna is an excellent hairstylist and colorist. She honestly took her time and helped me with my cut and color. I was anxious going somewhere new. The whole salon I must say is lovely from the sweet receptionist to the guys who wash your hair. Thank You.

The spa is beautiful and relaxing. I had a facial and it was the best I've had yet. The Esthetician was knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable. Overall a great experience.

When the salon opened up just a few blocks away from work I hoped it would be a decent place I could get an occasional blow out and it wildly exceeded my expectations. It is great to find a salon that knows how to cut curly hair and more importantly, how to style curly hair, when you don??t want it blown out straight. I??m loyal to Gianna for cut and color and my hair has never looked better, but I tend to schedule blow outs at the last minute and go with whoever is free and have always been pleased.

This was my first visit to the salon and they made me feel like I have been going there for years. Marisa gave me a wonderful cut and my eyebrows look great. I am looking forward to my next visit and the visits after that.

I have always had a difficult time finding a salon for three main reasons: 1) the stylist did not listen to my needs, 2) uncomfortable atmosphere, 3) exorbitant cost. Serenity Salon and Spa has debunked all three of those reasons. Roy is by far the most talented stylist/colorist I have ever encountered. He understands my needs and requests but also is honest about what will work and not work for my hair. Within the salon itself, there are several extras that separate Serenity from being a "local" salon to being a very metropolitan salon: customer rewards, multiple services on site, professional customer service, refreshments, etc. Plus, it is amazingly affordable!

Serenity is amazing and everyone there is so friendly. I usually never stay at the same salon, I'm always trying different places. I finally found a salon where the stylists know exactly what I want. I always go to Gianna for a color and cut. (Actually, I just went today and it looks Great! ) I just recently went to Theresa for my wedding day hair trial. She also did a wonderful job. I have referred friends and co-workers here and they too were very pleased. If you are looking for a new place I would definitly recommend Serentiy ....you will have NO Regrets!!

Beautiful salon, professional and courtious staff who are very accomodating, and convenient location. I have never had a bad haircut or color application. My hair stylist Jessica is sweet and genuine, and she LISTENS to my hair concerns and works with me to make me look the very best I can. If you want a dynamic hair salon that does great hair as well as offers other services such as eye brow threading, massage, and skin care, Serenity is an excellent choice. See you there!

Serenity Salan & Spa in Bloomfield is a beautifully appointed, clean and relaxing spa in the local area. Its nice to be able to go somewhere that is small and quaint yet has all the amenities of a big name salon and spa. I have been part of their spa membership club for about a year now and for $59, I can get a 50 minute massage once a month (plus there are other perks to the membership). Everyone that works there is friendly, attentive and treats clients in a very professional manner. Serenity Salon & Spa is highly recommended.

My hair has never looked so good! I love the color and the cut. The experience at Serenity is so relaxing! They have tea and coffee and the sound of water resonates throughout the place. I highly recommend it!!! I also buy my facial cleansing products there too!

This has been my 4th or 5th visit to Serenity. Gianna is the best, totally accomodating, professional and sweet. I had switched hairdressers after 7 years which was not an easy thing to do. The switch was for the best, my hair has never looked better. The facility is relaxing, calming and clean. I had also had a facial done which was amazing as well. I highly recommend Serenity...

Love, love, love this salon. Gianna is a great and very sweet hairdresser. Atmosphere is very pleasing too. This was my 2nd time there and I will go again real soon!! The entire staff is very helpful with the products they offer. I especially like the fact that I can earn points for referring clients and for booking my appointments online. All in all a great experience and I am anxious to try out the spa as well. The sinks where you get your hair washed are angled so that you don't get that terrible neck cramp you usually get at most other salons.

I went to Serenity Salon & Spa last weekend for the first time and was wowed! I had a single process hair color done and it came out beautifully. Also, I received a great haircut. All thanks to Teresa!!! The rest of the staff was friendly & professional and everyone was informative about the products, services and special offers. I have already booked another appointment for my next hair coloring and an appointment to try out their Spa services. Their prices are reasonable and the atmosphere of the salon is very welcoming and soothing. I would definitely recommend you try them.

Serenity Salon & Spa AMAZING find?
Serenity is a great find. I have been there numerous times for haircuts, highlights, facials and eyebrow waxing. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is extremely clean and very nice inside. Each time you visit or purchase products you earn points which can be immediately converted to dollars toward your purchase. You can even make appointments online if you prefer. Gianna is the best! She has an amazing sense of style and her cuts and highlights are fantastic! Gianna is so friendly and makes each visit fun and relaxing. The prices are extremely reasonable in comparison to other salons of this caliber. Visit Serenity for a fantastic experience.

I had two very pleasant experiences this past weekend at Serenity Spa in Bloomfield, NJ. I got a great haircut on Friday and brought my two young daughters back on Saturday morning to get their hair cleaned up after a busy summer of swimming and sun. While waiting around I engaged in interesting dialogue with the lovely staff and got some good advice about hair products for both my daughters and myself. Our stylists were Marissa and Stephanie and both were talented and really welcoming. An added treat was the demo available that particular Saturday highlighting threading,an alternative to waxing. We all had a great visit to Serenity and look forward to our next experience there. I would definitely recommend this salon.

My first experience at Serenity Salon & Spa was excellent. I received a massage and it was wonderful. The staff was friendly and professional. I also had threading done on my eyebrows and was pleased with the results. I have already booked another appointment for additional services. I would definitely recommend you try them. The prices are reasonable when compared to other salons of their caliber.
