This place was everything you could ask for in an upscale/casual restaurant. We were there at about 7-8pm range on a Thursday night. It had a lively ambience, great appetizers, a friendly waiter, parking behind the building in Uptown, and creative delicious entrees. I went there with my wife and we tried a pomegranite margarita with a salty, sweet, and spicy rim. Delicious! We also tried a mojito made with tequila instead of rum. I loved mojitos, before. Now, I like them even more. I had a seafood stew which was served with a baked tortilla that had an earthy sauce and a little cheese baked onto it. The soup/stew itself, had a slightly spicy tomato broth, and was full of great seafood. My wife had a great looking scallops dish that she would barely share with me. It had an incredible sauce with it I don't even know how to begin to describe. Our waiter was friendly and explained things nicely to us. He was always checking to make sure everything was good with us. And, parking was right in back. It is a pay lot. But, they do stamp your ticket to pay for part of it. All in all, this is a no-miss neighborhood style restaurant with everything you'd want, unless you're looking for stuffy and overpriced. We will be back with friends!

Meeting up with friends at Indio one afternoon, we began with the must-have handmade guacamole, a perfect complement to the the delicious margaritas (the gin & tonics were excellent too!) The food is thoughtfully prepared with sophisticated and complex flavors. A couple of favorite appetizers at our table were the Flautas and Tostaditas. Gracious service and a festive atmosphere will make Indio a regular meeting place for my friends and me.

Pros: Off-street patio dining with both sun and shade

Indio is the perfect restaurant for either meeting up with a girlfriend to share a margarita and bowl of handmade guacamole over happy hour (hello...great bargains!) or taking the family out for a cultural food experience.

From beginning to end the drinks, food and staff ooze authenticity...the food is plentiful and hearty, the waitstaff friendly and helpful.

Indio is the perfect "sister" restaurant to El Meson and Cafe Ena....also, both top picks as well!

I love the light, airy, relaxed atmosphere at Indios. Service is both attentive and friendly. Excellent food with unique flavors is served at reasonable prices. My salmon was moist and flavorful. I definitely recommend Indios for private parties. The staff was very accommodating and helpful in planning the event. I've never been disappointed for dinner or lunch. If you're looking for very good food in a fun environment try Indios.

I recently organized a party at Indio for a milestone birthday for a dear friend. Erin helped me plan the menu for seventeen women. She understood my need to have it be special and affordable. She made certain there were choices for the entrees which I really appreciated. We had a blast, the food was delicious! the service was terrific and several people said they'd be back especially for the desserts. The birthday girl was thrilled (as was I).

My husband and I ate at Indio recently and we were quite impressed, the margaritas were outstanding. He tried the Classico and I had the Indio Yummy! We started with the Guac which is made to order, I loved how the flavor of the lime came through, also had the appetizer special which was fish tacos, to die for! For dinner I tried the Carne Asada and he had the 7 mares both amazing and to top it off the churros for dessert, a wonderful experience from start to finish we will for sure be back.

If you eat nothing else, you have to go to Indio for the guacamole! It's the best I ever had including when I lived in Mexico. My other favorites include the ceviche, scallops and corvina. But whatever you have, you will enjoy the experience. The staff is engaging and helpful and can suggest great beverage pairings to enhance your meal. Be adventurous and try the tequila pairings instead of wine and you will have a meal to remember!

Indio's also a great late night stop for a small bite, a fresh mango margarita or trying out a new tequila!

Fantastic Tequllia and mixed drinks! The fresh chips and homemade green and red salsa and guacamole are to die for!! I was very impressed with the interior design as well. Looking forward to dining there again soon. We were there with a group of about 18 people and everyone had a great time.
