Very Kind and Caring
by Nicole T.
We recently had to put our dog to sleep and for such a horrible process they made it truly wonderful. Paw print, hand written card from the staff--privacy, support--they do it all :)

We have three dogs and have been using AHHB services for almost four years. The doctors are very professional and thorough while remaining a loving and caring environment. The entire staff has a genuine love for all animals. They also attempt to find homes for those animals in need. I wish I had found them years ago.

Sheila D is an ignorant pet owner!
by AJ J.
What an ignorant dog owner you are Sheila-Duh- patellar luxation is a puppy diagnosis. And very common in toy breeds- checking the knees is a normal part of the exam. One should never buy a toy breed puppy without having their knees checked first!!! save yourself 1000's in surgery later on! Animal Hospital of Huntington Beach is awesome- I would never take my pet elsewhere- all the staff and doctors go out of their way to treat you special and be honest with you.

Be cautious

I took my chihuahua to this hospital to have her teeth checked (her baby tooth didn't come out and the adult one grew in behind it) This doctor proceeded to manipulate my puppies "legs" popping the patella in and out and told me she has a bilateral medical patellar luxation stage 2-4. First of all this is a very dangerous thing to do especially to a baby since they are still growing. Especially without any complaints of leg pain or signs of injury she has never limped on hopped on one leg. She could have done some damage by doing this is the opinion of some. If a dog needs to be evaluated for this type of problem it should be by an orthopedic vet or surgeon and with additional tests. I was very concerned the strain this was putting on my baby's legs. All small breeds can develop this but never let just any vet check whatever they want without your permission. Especially when there isn't any symptoms or reasoning. I've been told it is not very common for both legs to be the exact stage. This vet is not worth taking a chance with my baby!!!

My friends cat was attacked and hurt really bad. We took the cat to this place and they helped out right away. Not too costly either. I liked this animal hospital because they will take care of your pet and genuinely want what is best for them. Very friendly staff.
