Pop-A-Lock employee, Mark, provided a quick, affordable, and friendly service replacing my car key. Very happy resident in NW Portland!

A friend and I had the misfortune of having a fuse blow on his car that controlled the locks, and we were locked out of his car after eating dinner at a restaurant. I did a search for local locksmiths on my phone and Pop-A-Lock had the most professional-looking web page with links to review sites, so I called them. We gave them our location (which was less than 3 miles from their office) and they gave us a quote and told us a tech would be there in 30 minutes or less. We even got another call from them a couple minutes later saying that the quote we were given was too much and was then given a cheaper quote. Great!
45 minutes later and the tech is a no-call no-show. I call back and speak to someone else who says we weren't in their "system" and that they had a "system crash" after our call (then how did have the number to call us back for the changed quote??) Again we were told a tech would be there in 30 minutes or less. 35 minutes later and the tech still had not shown up. I call back to verify we were still in their system and a tech was on-route. The dispatcher tells us he will page the tech to call us. Another 15 minutes goes by and still no calls from either the dispatch office or the tech. By this point we had been waiting almost two hours. I call to cancel their service and not more than two minutes later the tech shows up.
The tech did a fine job in getting into the car without any damage to the window seal, and after a lengthy discussion between him and his dispatch office (who continually asked "can they hear us?" He was using the speakerphone.), we were given $20 off of the service. The tech even admitted the dispatch service that was outsourced by the Pop-A-Lock company had problems.
The discount in service and the good service by the tech is the only reason I've giving this review two stars. Unless their dispatch problems are resolved, I can't recommend their services in good conscience to anyone.

Wonderful service. Arrived very quickly when both toddler boys were locked inside a car. Got the car open in about 10 seconds with no damage. So very grateful!

Thank you to the very professional kind Pop-A-Lock technician who rescued my 6 month old from my car. Not only did he get to my home in less than 10 minutes, he had the car opened and my daughter in my arms in about 2 minutes. He was also very polite, and didn't make me feel stupid. When I asked him how much, he said no charge. Apparently this is a service they do for free in our community. He wouldn't even take a tip!
Thank you Pop-A-Lock for such a great service to our community!

Fast and efficient !! I called the $19 dollar guy first. Well, the catch is it's $19 just to come out, and they couldn't tell me how much the total cost would be. What a scam. I've heard that this was happening.
Called Pop-a-Lock, spoke to a dispatcher who actually knew where the Lloyd Center was, quoted me a flat rate of $50 bucks, had a nice guy here in 20 minutes!!
Best part is, my insurance reimbursed me the full amount!
Call these guys, they are the best!!

My 2 year old locked herself in the car. I gave her the keys to play with while I was unloading stuff. She hit the lock button and locked the car on me. Pop-A-Lock came out in 10 minutes and had the car unlocked in no time. And it was Free. It's an awsome service.
