I have a male cat who is 7 years old,I have always taken him to Dr. Knowles since he was a kitten and she's always been great with him, recently he had a problem with a logged hairball that caused him to be constipated and vomit anything he ate, the staff was wonderfull with him, they didn't restrain him or put him under to work with him and I was given a medicine called Laxatone for him, it worked wonders. They even called 2 days later to check on him to see how he was doing. However, a few weeks later a stray cat had kittens on my front porch and they had a problem with matting with their eyes, I knew I needed an eye drop however they won't give you anything like that without first seeing the kittens (even though ANY other vet will because it's an over the counter drop). Basically she is a good vet to see when you need to, however when it comes to something over the counter you need to seek out another vet unless you want to pay the $25 office fee for something you can get at any other vet. (If you live in this area for anything over the counter I reccommend Dr. Kotch @ Tug Valley Animal Clinic less than a half a mile away, and anything you actually need to see a vet for I reccommend Dr. Knowles because she doesn't jump to a treatment thats overly aggressive and irritating to the animal and she doesn't reccommend "putting them down" everytime they get sick, she treats them as if they are little humans, with care and compassion)
