I have been training here since it opened 4 or 5 years ago. I think that it is a great place because along with world class instruction and techniques there is a philosophy that guides the whole system. It helps people understand the purpose of a martial art beyond just learning be a really skilled jiu jitsu guy. confidence, discipline, heart, balance, leverage, timing, just to name a few. I highly recommend this place for anybody, there are kids classes, womens classes, mma and no gi.
Great environment for all ages. Martial arts philosophy and self improvement through the teaching of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu are the key focuses. Our professor and staff are very friendly and helpful as well as the other students. I recommend everyone come and step foot on the mat and try the class. I have been training for 3 years and I can tell you Gracie Barra Rohnert Park is my BJJ Home!

This place is my second home! Great people, great training, great instructors... just a really great environment overall. There are some VERY talented guys over there (check out the bulletin boards with all the tournament bling!), but whats so cool about gb bjj is that it caters to anyone. I would recommend this place to anyone interested in BJJ or anyone looking for a positive lifestyle change.

Rohnert Park Gracie Barra is awesome! We are so lucky to have a first class world champion instructor in our backyard. I have been training under the guidance of Proffesor Bill for one and a half years and have noticeably become better at Jiu Jitsu. The atmosphere is great, the energy is positive, and so are all the people. If you are lookng for a new fitness challenge, want to learn self defense, and make a lot of great new friends then RPGB is the place for you!

I've been training at Gracie Barra Rohnert Park for over a year now and am so glad that I decided to get involved. When I showed up I knew nothing of brazilian jiu-jitsu, but Professor Bill and all of the coaches have helped teach and mold me into a solid bjj practicioner. I look forward to continuing my journey in life with the help/support of the GBRP family, and suggest to anyone if you want to learn solid jiu-jitsu from a 2x WORLD CHAMPION, then GBRP is the spot for you!

I've been training here for about a year and a half and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made. I'm not an exercise junkie by any means, but training BJJ at Gracie Barra is legitimately as fun as it is a great workout. The environment is amazing, none of the egos that kept me away from gyms in the past. Instead there's a laid-back, respectful family atmosphere. I ride the bus an hour or more just to train and it's worth every minute. Also, these days you see a lot of dojos with iffy practices/qualifications - some instructors don't even tell you who awarded them their belt or in what. That's absolutely not the case here, Professor Bill is a world-class black belt with unquestionable credentials. I'd highly recommend the free introductory class for anybody with any interest in martial arts, regardless of age (the kids classes are great and the fundamentals/advanced program are very age-friendly, from teenagers to seniors).

I drove past Gracie Barra Rohnert Park on my way to Redwood Credit Union for about 6 months before I worked up the nerve to enter. I was very interested in Jiu Jitsu from watching MMA on TV, but having no martial arts experience, I was intimidated. Those fears were quickly put to rest. I was greeted by Lindsay, the Course Director in a pink Gi. She immediately made me feel at ease. Next I met the Owner, Professor Bill, a 3rd degree black belt who grew up and learned his Jiu Jitsu in Brazil, where the martial art got it's start. He explained his philosphy and gave me a good idea of how it works. Next they set up a free introduction class for me, my 13 year old son and my wife. That was 11 months ago and now we are part of the Gracie Barra Family. In the 11 months, I have improved my strength, flexibility, cardio, lost 25 pounds and learned lots of great techniques. Training at Gracie Barra has also reduced my stress level and boosted my confidence.
The coaches (instructors) at the Academy are top notch and very knowledgeable. Professors Bill and Fabiana and coaches Elliot, Paul, Mike, Kyle and Lindsay have become friends of mine as have all of my training partners. I feel blessed to have discovered the Academy and absolutely love my lifestyle change!! Ossss
