We went twice the first time was good then the second time was horrible.. bad services and horrible food - we sent it back and still the fruiti dimare was awful - we paid for the meals and will never return.. No attempt was made to appease us and we were made to feel the bad service was our fault. Bad Service, Bad Food Quality. The seafood is rubbery.. They should replace this place with a reputable establishment- clearwater needs good Italian Restaurants.. This is not.

We were attracted to this place by the nice decor, the market place at the entrance and its clean atmosphere and decided to give it a try. What a mistake!

Very few options in the lunch menu to choose from... only three main courses spaghetti based. My husband and I ordered Spaghetti and meatballs and Pizza #3. How can you go wrong with this simple traditional choices!

We werent offered any bread and when we asked for some before the food came, we got a few pieces of cold baguette and a bowl with tomato sauce with no taste, no olive oil...

The pizza was the worst ever. soupy, cold, the borders burnt, and tasteless sausage and hard meat. The spaghetti came in a very small plate and a meatball that was hard and tasteless.

We left most of the food, paid and left and will never go back! Though about complaining but the whole concept is wrong.... NICE PLACE DOESNT MEAN GOOD FOOD!

Went to Pssghettis last Monday night (5/17) and was very impressed. We were greeted by some warm smiles when we walked in the door and was seated immediately. The first thing I noticed when I sat down was how nicely decorated and clean this place is. Our waitress greeted us with a smile and explained the dishes of the day. She recommened one of the dishes that she tasted at the start of her shift. My wife decided to give that a try while I ordered another dish from the menu. Everything from the bread/salad to the main course was so delicious and the portions were very large. We decided to order desert and they were so good. I would recommend giving Pssghettis a try. We will be back very soon.

From the moment I saw the name Pssghetti's, my mind thought of some dirty kid with a mouthful of cheap pasta that couldn't say spaghetti. My wife and I decided to try it and see how it was this Saturday. It smelled good walking in. We were seated in what I guess is the dining room near the pizza cooking area, but the seating was very small and very hard to get through with a baby. We ordered a pizza and the fried ravioli. The ravioli arrived 20+ minutes later and guess what. Flattened fried mozzarella cheese sticks. NO BETTER than what you get at any cheap restaurant. They were served with a tasteless, bland marinara sauce. Then we got our pizza. Cheap frozen crust with boars head brand toppings. Not bad, but not worth the money at all. Sauce was still boring. We hoped for a better desert and asked the waiter. He wasn't sure what they had and they ended up not having what we decided on anyways. Give it 6 months and it will be gone.

I visited Saturday night around 7pm the place was busy god knows why. Our experience was less than memorable. The food was cold and bland and the service was just slow and slacking. For $95.00 a couple, I hoped to be impressed. I was left feeling cheated. I recommend you save your money or spend it something like Marlyn Darlin or the Tuscan Grill equally pricey but you will leave impressed.

This restaurant has will never deiliver!, This was our second time to visit Went on a Friday early pm and were told the wait would be 20-25 minutes. We waited for an hour to be seated. Our group of four was seated at a table that was made for two. The table was crowded between two adjacent tables that also had more people than should have been seated at them. The chairs were all dirty, too. When food was delivered our plates had to hang off the edges of the table to fit. Very uncomfortable for a pricey meal. We were never offered bread...a surprise for an Italian restaurant! Food very bland, soup was lukewarm. Our last serving of iced tea looked suspiciously difft in color than the previous refills, tasted horrible and was obviously watered -down powdered tea. Many other patrons around us with same complaints, vocal and angry about the wait to be seated, etc. It is inconsiderate of them to tell us only 20-25 minutes when it was an hour or more. People are on time constraints and they should have been honest. To wait an hour for subpar food and the bill was over $100. This did not include any alcoholic beverages, appetizers or dessert. We had our hopes up after watching it being built over the past 6 months. Will not bother to go back, other great Italian restaurants nearby.

I visited, last night and I was very displeased with the quality of the food and the lack of care of the experience. I was surprised to find out the executive chef was from the old six table??s restaurant in Largo. The root of all Italian cooking is basic pomodoro sauce as we non Italians call it marinara. It lacked the luster of fresh herbs and spices and a good olive oil base. The crust of the pizza was like a cracker and not fresh fermented dough. The quality of the beef sub par to any steak house in Florida. This place cost a bundle to build but the boat was missed in quality and skill to prepare a true Italian meal. The staff also had a lack of genuine customer care. it almost seemed rehearsed at times. The parking lot was packed but the restaurant lack the hustle and bustle of a thriving eatery, all the parkers must be at Cody??s. I expected great from the look and received Gross in all areas of hospitality. Sorry this place lacks a true sense of Italian warmth and Hospitality. Go somewhere else like The Tuscan Grill or Johnny Garlic??s even Macaroni grill comes across more professional.

Sorry it was Bad Mike

We were so excited to see a new restaurant in the Countryside area, and decided to have dinner there this evening.

Oh .... I wish we hadn't. Our food was just nasty. The house salads were a bit gritty and literally tasted like dirt. A bit too fresh off the farm, as in they went from the field to our plate without being rinsed. We ordered the spaghetti and meatballs for the grown ups at the table, one kids fetticini alfredo, and one kids burger and fries. The spaghetti sauce was so thin and runny that it sloshed everywhere. To say it was bland was an understatement. The consistency of the meatballs was a bit questionable, to say the least and cooked on the ecoli end of the scale. The kids fetticini tasted like cheap margarine, salt and skim milk poured on overcooked pasta that was had a pasty texture. Our child wouldn't eat it, and that is usually her favorite meal. As soon as we tasted her food we knew why she pushed it aside. The kid's burger, well we heard our child crunch into the first bite. The patty was so burnt that it cracked. Drink refills we asked for 10 minutes after seating finally arrived after the check.

Our waitress told us the woes of working without a break and felt the need to touch all the food before putting it on the table. We ordered two spaghetti and meatball dinners, two kids meals, and four fountain drinks - bill was $56 dollars. The two tables next to us sent back their pizzas to a manager who rolled their eyes as soon as they walked away. Magianno's in Tampa or Olive Garden up 19 would be a better choice!

LOVED the food and atmosphere! The place was upbeat, the employees were friendly and knowlegdable. I honestly believe the bad reviews came from local restaurants wanting to bring them down. Case in point, went to Red Lobster (next door) for Valentines day and the staff dogged Pssghettis..to the point that we went only to see how bad it was...much to our surprise...EXCELLENT! The Marsala was very tasty and flavorful, the stuffed shells with seafood was so good! The sauce complimented the seafood and the bed of spinach was a perfect addition to the dish. I have never been impressed by Italian restaurants (I am Italian) and think that Carrabas is the equivalent of Italian fast food (frozen) but I am so glad we went tonight!
Pssghettis has so much to offer, excellent dining (inside and out) but one thing nobody has mentioned...is the market! The deli, coffe shop, and gelato has so much to offer! I purchased a few items from the deli case....there is too much to mention! Fresh made meatballs, caprese salad, white balsamic vinegar marinated green bean salad....I can't say enough!
The coconut gelato...out of this world!
I look back at the first review and wonder if that person went in with the intent to blast the restaurant...too detailed...even knew times for everything..all the complaining, knew the managers name... but never said anything?????? People are not mind readers, you smile and nod, they think you are fine. Leaving food on the plate is not a complaint!!!!!
HIGHY recommend the restaurant. The have breakfast lunch and dinner AND a coffee shop and deli.
A true treat in this area :))))

With the advent of the food network over the last few years?? restaurateurs need to be on their game. We have been thought to appreciate diversity in all type of cuisines. Pssghettis offers the basic old standards Italian menu poorly done. No unique fresh modern Italian dishes. Not even basic server techniques forget about the original wow factor. Management is no where to be found. The price point is too high for what they are serving. You ask you??re self what a restaurant is known for and usually it??s the cuisine, the theme, or the service something. Pssghettis is just a poor imitation of the olive garden rolled into Mazzaros. They are trying to do too much and failing in all tasks. The executive Chef has shown us nothing new or exciting and there menu has more typos and vague descriptions on it then any other I have ever read.

My experience:

Table of 4 at 7:00 pm
Greeted by Cathy
Sat by Emile

Ordered 2 house Chianti and a bottle of mineral water, bloody Mary and coke 7:15
Received our drinks 7:30
Ordered 1 Bruschetta, 1 Caesar salad and 1 Calamari 7:16
Ordered Steak with Gorgonzola, Lasagna, Fruiti di Mare, and Pesca Panna 7:18
Our appetizers arrive 8:10, hard as steal bread on Bruschetta with the taste of stale garlic, Calamari soggy and chewy and the dressing on the Caesar was repulsive.
Server takes 90 % of our appetizers back and does not ask us what??s wrong???
8.45 dinners arrives one hour and 30 minutes after seated. We appreciate time between our meals but this is a bit too long.
Lasagna cold in the center and a taste of fowl sausage, Fruti di mare flavorless and runny the shrimp tasted fowl, Steak Gorgonzola ordered medium rare served raw cold and gorgonzola just plopped on top and finally Pesca Panna a poor imitation of vodka sauce with seafood that was runny and flavorless.
Plates cleared at 9.000 most of the food left, we never even had our waters refilled or ever asked, not asked if we would like dessert and our check arrives. Clueless about the experience of serving and customer satisfaction.

We paid knowing we would never come back we seem to care more about our dissatisfaction then any of the staff. As we walked out the door Cathy who had greeted us once again say thanks hope you enjoyed us come again. Once again Clueless.

Imitation is suppose to be a form of flattery Pssghetti??s fail on Imitation how bad is that

Dissatisfied

I visited Pssghetti??s for the Third time this weekend, because of the efforts in building this establishment and my spirit of supporting the private business sector. I always over look opening month. Let me tell you I should have trusted my gut. I myself a restaurateur know the difficulty of opening a new restaurant. This restaurant has not recruited the leadership they need to run a place this size. Leadership is what sets the experience and the ethics of a business, Cathy the Gm definitely is not that leader.

We went in with a table of four the wait surprisingly was 45 minutes a sign of success. That??s when it went down hill. Sat us at wrong table, delivered the food late, cold and it was not even what we ordered. We asked to speak to the manager. Cathy comes to our table. She had sort of a chip on her shoulder and seemed very tired almost as if she rather be somewhere else. Her attitude was dismissing and she rushed listing and started making excuses. We knew we were in trouble. A good leader always listens first then acts !!!!!!!!!! We tried to explain the problem be she insisted it was what we ordered. Finally she got it and the order was placed on the table or bill who know the light starting shinning. Never apologized just promised to get our food out quickly. Here is where Leadership becomes the mentor.

Once again our food delivered the chicken Marsala was gross cold runny and tough, the spaghetti and meatballs hard rubbery and bland as well as served with precooked pasta. Our friends had the Picata cold tough and over powered by lemon, their lasagna was nothing more than the stuff you get at Olive Garden.

We were approached by the server who had no clew to what to say almost fearful to comment, really no training apparent. We knew asking for the manager would only lead to more diapointment so we paid and left. That was it this being our third visit with different friend. We dine out a lot. The first time it was just opening day havock. The second time just poor service and food, this time it was management, food and service. All I can say is pretty does not make a good restaurant. After spending over $150.00 on three visits and our friends spending about the same we will write this place off for good. Now we believe that unanimous reviews are sometime valid.

Three Strikes you out

I will just keep this simple. I watched for over three years waiting, anticipating and hoping for something that would replace the old Rio Bravo. Known for local great Mexican food and a good time. Sorry and disappointed Pssghett's Italian Restaurant and Market. I did not go the first couple of weeks big places like this always have kinks to work out. This place even after 4 weeks has terrible food all around, the rudest and untrained staff, and pretentious decor. As far as the market what market. The only place with a coffee bar with real Lousy coffee to boot. This is our unbiased opinion of a table of ten for dinner this past week. Hope the next restaurant in this location will try a little harder. Our dinning club has many other Italian choices in the area . Like Vincenzo's, Tuscan Grill, Olive Garden, Maccaroni Grill even Carabas show more promise than this establishment

Italian at its worst!!!!!

I visited Pssghetti??s last night around 7Pm the wait was around 50 minutes a bit long for a restaurant that was not filled to capacity , but what the heck it??s new. The server was nice and we were greeted by the manager Giovanni who seemed very jumpy. We placed our order at around 7:45 pm 2 appetizers, one pizza for the kids and four entre and 4 glasses of wine. The server seemed to understand our order but it??s not what we received, our food was delivered in this order. Soggy tough calamari with a sauce so spicy it would scorch your tongue. The Bruschetta was so sour tasting and the bread was burnt it was uneatable. We told the manger about the food and he said do not worry we will take care of it. About 25 minutes later our entrees arrived still no sign of our kid??s pizza. The entrees we not even what we had ordered, they belonged to some one else??s table. When presented to us we looked we poked and asked for the manager once more. He again said do not worry we will take care of it. We watched as our entrees were removed from our table and delivered to a neighboring table, how awful used food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our entrees came out with the kid pizza. Let me tell you the food we received was, flavorless, cold, lacking quality and worst of all we did not eat a thing. The manager Giovanni finally arrived and apologized but engaged us by telling us the food was fine. We probably never ate authentic Italian before. He saw all our food sitting there so he comped our meals, gave us a return $50.00 gift card and tried to send us free desserts. He missed the point we were all still hungry and he never offered to make it right by allowing us to be served some food at 9:45 pm. We left the gift card on the table with the un eaten. As our free dessert was arriving I notice the manger taking the gift card and placing it in his pocket, very sneakily. We walked out and went To McDonalds down the road. At least our food was eatable, on time as well as Hot.

Pssghettis is a Horror. Someone should teach the manager and the owner of this establishment you can not buy customer loyalty. People just want an honest explanation and made to be felt as their patronage counts. By the way the Blond older woman who was scolding Giovanni has a lot to learn about leadership and training a group of successful partners. I will tell everyone to dine at Many other Authentic Italian Restaurants.

I just got back from a horrible restaurant experience that is Psghetti's. From the moment we walked up to the hostess stand it was horrible. There was only 1 lady in front of my family, but the hostess did not make eye contact with us, nor did the restaurant have many patrons in it. It was about 4:20 PM, so dinner had just started 20 min earlier. The very young hostess left with the lady, came back and still never made eye contact. We told her 4 and a server came up and had to ask her over and over "how many?"

The server then sat us. We had 2 young children with us so they gave us 2 coloring books, but the server said they ran out of crayons, so they gave them each a mechanical pencil. Not good for a 4 and 6 year old. Another server came and she took our drink orders and came back and took our food order without issue....the problem was, there was a couple that was seated right after us in our area that got no attention until after we got our soup and salad. I expected the house dressing to be better, but it tasted like they added oregano to a store bought brand.

Food runners came to our table twice with someone else's order.

Then the server told us that they had "bread service, would you like some?" That was a shocker...why didn't they just bring the bread? So, they did and it seemed to be Cuban bread...not Italian...and they served it with a mediocre tasting sauce...not olive oil or a good compound butter.

Then the disappointing food came. I ordered the 'Pesca Panna' which is supposed to be seafood in creamy garlic sauce. Creamy my ass....and Bland as hell. I had to add salt and it still wasn't good. My husband ordered a simple 'Marsala' with chicken. How do you mess up Marsala? Bland, bland, bland...my husband added salt and pepper..still bad.

So, I boxed most of my food...since I make a great white sauce at home, I will doctor it.

I looked around and the pizza crust looked store bought on other's tables....no one in the place was happy. Right when we were about to leave after spending $60 on a horrible experience and TASTELESS food, we overheard a woman that was handing her salad plate back to the server saying, "2 thumbs down." All I could think was, 'wait until you get your food lady'...if you're smart you'll walk out now...obviously I wasn't that smart and kept hoping things would get better...my husband was shocked that I didn't complain...because I'm supposedly to foodie who always has a complaint according to him, but it was so bad that I didn't think it would make a difference.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME WITH THIS PLACE. You can make the food better at home. You'll eat better at Olive Garden.

We'll never eat there again...I know they just opened last week, but they should close their doors now.

For months, my wife and I had watched as construction of Pssghetti's dragged on and on. So when we saw that the place was finally open, we were actually excited to give it a try. It was early Friday evening... the dinner crowd had not arrived so we were seated immediately... and it all went downhill from there. We waited... and waited... nine minutes went by before a very flustered looking waitress took our drink order... a Sprite and an Iced Tea. Several more minutes went by and she brought the Sprite... no tea. She apologized saying there was no tea at that serving station, but would be right back... and several more minutes later arrived with what tasted somewhat like unsweetened lemonade but looked more like a urine sample. She took our order... an appetizer of Calamari, chicken piccata over angel hair pasta, linguini with clams, one soup and one salad. And oh yeah...a diet coke to replace the awful tea. Just a few minutes later, the calamari arrived. Breading was a bit on the heavy side and for the price ($8.95) the serving was rather small... but what wasn't small was the tastebud numbing red pepper dipping sauce. I love hot spicy flavors...but this stuff was inedible! So we nibbled at it without the sauce and a few minutes later, a basket of bread was dropped off, no butter, no olive oil...instead, they brought it with a very good marinara sauce. (Who eats bread with Marinara?) Then a minute or two later, dinner arrived. That's strange... where was the soup and salad that should have come first? Oh yeah, the waitress said she told the kitchen that it should have come out first but that they forgot. So she rushed back and brought it to us...in a to go box. So anyway back to dinner... someone needs to show the kitchen staff the difference between linguini, spaghetti, and angel hair pasta. There really is a difference in most restaurants... but apparently not here! The linguini on my wifes plate was the same as the angel hair on mine. The pile of pasta on the plate was large... and lukewarm and the chicken and clams servings were small...and the price was overblown. Pssghetti's does get another award... it was the first Italian restaurant that did not offer grated parm... we had to ask, and it arrived in a soup bowl with a serving spoon. Oy ve! By this point, we were just laughing thru the experience and vowed never to return. So we finished dinner and decided on Tiramasu for dessert. When it finally arrived... (of course she brought it with no forks and had to go looking for them) it was FROZEN and there were ICE CRYSTALS in it.

That was the last straw.

Final bill... $59:64 for dinner for two... and we did not order any alcohol.

The place is a joke.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

Total Disaster

I went to Pssghettis last night on Friday, for a new restaurant they were busy so I was excited and hopeful. I had a reservation for 8 at 7:30 pm but do to a large party we were not seated till almost 8:00 Pm, ok a hour late not the worst. Kathy apologized about the wait she seemed like the general manager but soon disappeared dealing with the busy restaurant. Our server an older women quite pleasant but had no clue to what their menu was about or even how to guide us in the right direction. Of course we were able to make our own decision since we love Italian but just wanted some suggestions as to their specialties.
We ordered calamari, fried ravioli and the Cesar salad for starter as well as waters and a bottle of their house Chianti. It took nearly 45 minutes for our appetizers to arrive and the calamari was cold and soggy the sauce was definitely not traditional Italian. The fried raviolis were store bought and I will email the chef my recipe for a true Cesar dressing all this while still waiting for our wine and water to arrive. I am not so excited now.

For dinner we ordered Spaghetti and meatballs not (pssghetti) , chicken marsala, beef lasagna, penne putanesca , chicken parmagiana , grilled chicken , pollo pssghetti, risotto. We hoped our food would be out sooner than our appetizers. Our group was surely disappointed it took nearly another hour, now 9:45 Pm . I had lost all hope by this time and our food was even worse then our starters. The Spaghetti was precooked and the meatball were bland and cold, my wife marsala was tough and sauce tasted like marala wine was just poured over top of it. Our friend had the lasagna which for $17.00 could have been Mama Giardi's frozen entre and his wife did not even eat the grilled chicken it was very dry and tough. I was told the risotto was mush and definitely not made fresh and the Penne puttanesca was too salty and the pasta was cold. They did manage to get chicken parmigian right it was fair and the house special chicken was topped with bologna and mozzarella definitely not Italian .
We asked to speak to Kathy again but they said she was gone. No one ever came back to our table except the server who did not even care to ask why all our food was left on the table. We never requested a to go box for anything and no one seemed to care or were just not aware people were disappointed. Our Bottle of house Chianti was $45.00 wow and our bill well let say it surpassed our expectation.
Pssghetti??s should try to get Gordon Ramsey to help them now because they will never make it unless the owners have some very deep pockets. At least when you eat in other local Italian eateries their price allows for some disappointment but for close to $250.00 check at Pssghett??s they are mad mad mad. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The worst part was on our way out Kathy was just standing in the front and totally pretended she did not see us . What a lack of respect for new customers , well let say old never returning ones . This place is a kitchen nightmare and deserves to fail in the first year .

I visited this place hoping to find a new hot spot for lunch or dinner . I new from the outside it was going to be a bit pricey, but you pay for what you get in life. I was suprised to find out that I paid for what I did not get . Quality , Service and a great spot to dine in Clearwater. Servers poorly trained and confused. Food reheated at best , poor quality ingredients which is the mark of great Italian food and a menu that was a bit to challenging to deliver . Sorry to say great looks do not make a fine restaurant.. Try Try Again

What a major disappointment!

The breading on the fried calamari was too heavy. All we could taste was the crispy breading. The bread they served was not warm and did not taste fresh.

Two 10 inch pizzas were a major disappointment at $20 for both. I believe they use frozen dough. They were too perfectly round and I could see the pizza "chef" stick them in the oven to warm them up before placing the sauce and toppings. Hungry Howies, Dominos or Pappa John can make a better tasting pizza.

My food was warm at best by the time it arrived to the table. The cooks and the pizza guy DON'T communicate. The two pizzas arrived to the table 20 mins before the other 4 meals. By the way, the table next to us complained about the same thing.

Service was very slow. Had to keep asking for re-fills. I agree with moneyfolyfe. I don't see them lasting one yr unless they change and get a grip on the basics.

Personally, I will continue to support my local italian eatery and I suggest you do the same. The only thing the restaurant has going for it's the decor.

Has the potential of becoming a tv episode on Chef Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares.

I was treated to the newest Italian in town on my Valentines day. Sorry to say it was the most horrible visit to a restaurant in my life. Lack of concern from the crew and management. The cooks were sloppy looking and the food made me sick.I am suffering from food poison after eating what they call veal. My husband did not eat his steak at all it was raw and tough. It seems that they all trained for one hour, maybe . The prices so high , if you want great Italian go to Vincents in Clearwater . I will never visit again and tell everyone how horrible it was

It seems that they all trained for one hour, maybe . The prices so high , if you want great Italian go to Vincents in Clearwater . I will never visit again and tell everyone how horrible it was

Pros: fancy decor

Cons: food service and leadership

.

Good food, slower than normal service but they are new! new menus came out while we were there so staff was a bit confused but for a soft opening- they did okay! building is beautiful, marketplace is unique- definite potential! will go again-

let me sum it up for you:
-cold food
-bad service
-bad managers
-bad everything
its the worst restaurant service I've received!
It took them longer to make the restaurant (two year) than it will probably be open! too bad all the money they put into that restaurant won't last....ill give it a year tops if that! Every other table was not happy! I am not joking with you! hope the owner straighten things out! its only been open since the Feb 1st of 2010 today is the Feb 16th 2010

also no appetizer menu & dessert menu!!

never to go back again!

you'll have better service at olive garden! and bigger protions!

Hope it helps you!

Unfortunately, this place will NEVER make it unless they make some serious changes in the kitchen.

Pros: NONE!

Cons: EVERYTHING!

After a long wait to try this wonderfully named location.
The wait and lack of talent to run such a large location is evident. I waited 1.5 hours for an entree that was fit for my dogs. The food was cold and frozen Italian entrees have more flavor. The manager some older blond women refusing to give her name was outright rude. This place is the pits .
