.

My regular hair salon in Cary, which is a high end salon, was understaffed that day and I didnt have the time to wait in line. I had to attend a meeting with a customer an hour later and my hair had grown past the clean cut, professional look stage. I decided to take a chance and stopped by the Supercuts at the intersection of Tryon and Walnut, which happens to be close to my house. The salon is not fancy but it is clean and orderly and I was nicely greeted upon entering. I only had to wait a few minutes before a hairstylist invited me to sit on her chair. Her name was Zai (not sure about the spelling). Because I am not used to getting haircuts in chain hair salons, I was a bit worried and gave Zai an avalanche of instructions before she got started, probably too many, actually. Nevertheless, she listened very patiently before starting to cut my hair. She entertained a pleasant conversation but was at the same time very concentrated on what she was doing. When she completed the styling, I was extremely happy with it. She had executed it exactly according to my instructions and I walked out of there with my usual hair style for not even half what I paid at my regular salon. That Supercuts is going to get some return business from me; Im not cheap but I like a good value when I find it!
