This restaurant was a wonderful venue for a gathering of 62 family & friends of all ages (3 months to 91yrs) and pallets. We highly recommend Primo Atto for private parties if you want great food combined with very personable, cooperation from the owners.

Giuseppe, the host, and the wait staff were extremely helpful and flexible. The restaurant has a bar area with some tables, and a main dinning area. This was arranged so the whole party could mix and mingle initially, and then sit down to eat and talk.

When we arrived every thing was set up. We added balloons and flowers to decorate with assistance from the wait staff. Although we stayed over our designated time, there where no feelings of ?being hurried? out the door.

The food was delicious and very fresh. Among the three appetizers, the standout was the marinated, cold, thin-sliced zucchini. The pasta course of penne was cooked to al-dente perfection, with great vodka sauce. Our guests had a choice among three entrees-veal, chicken or fish, which did not have to be designated ahead, was cooked to order and arrived in a timely manner. I really don?t know how they handled so many entrees at once. We also had a childs? menu of pasta, fries and chicken fingers.

Although we provided the dessert, a sheet cake from A Rise Above Bakery, as an extra touch, Giuseppe put on a great performance making Flambe!

had lunch at this place last week and LOVED the panini "saltimboca". unbelieveable! i was told that the chef makes the bread himself (similar to a pizza dough). the prosciutto was fresh and of great quality and the same for the mozzarella. as requested it came with a salad - no upcharge for swapping out the french fries. a glass of chianti complimented it perfectly. the full menu looks inviting and i'm looking forward to trying it for dinner. can't think of a negative!

I cannot speak highly enough of this restaurant! We live around the corner from them and used to love the restaurant that was in this location before. When that place closed, we were very disappointed.

But, Primo Atto more than makes up for it! The food is amazing! We just ate there last night (for the 4th time since they opened!) and my husband actually said "Why do we eat anywhere else?". The food is that good! And, the service is also excellent. the head waiter, a lovely man named Nat is very personable and easily remembers your favorite drinks and what you ate last time you were there.

the homemade pasta is the best I have ever had, and, you must have the mozzarella, it is out of this world! even if you think, oh, I have had fresh mozzarella before, why should I get this?" No! Get it, it will knock your socks off! The fish is always soo fresh and last night, I had a dish with a cream sauce, you know how some cream sauces are so heavy, they are choking you? While some others are too light and like water? Somehow the chef at Primo Atto has managed to find the perfect in between cream sauce, light yet still creamy, magnificent!

And, yes, the prices might be a bit higher than some other Italian restaurants in the area, they don't even come close to the quality of the food served here. We have lived in the neighborhood many years now and have been to the others, I don't understand how people can eat at some of them! Maybe I am pickier because I am Italian and have higher standards than other people. but, while the prices are a bit higher, the portions are very large. All the appetizers are more than enough for 2 people to share, the one we had last night could have easily served 3 people and it was only $9!

Must haves are the home made mozzarella, the pastas, and the tiramisu. You can't go wrong with anything here though!

This restaurant is a must eat at! Food, service and gorgeous, romantic atmosphere, please don't let this one go!

This is a great recent addition to the Park Slope restaurant scene... and as yet mostly undiscovered. My wife and I visited recently for late weekend brunch (besides a small group of friends and family of the owners we were the only ones there). We had some of the best bufala mozzarella ever (the owners has it flown in from Italy every Friday) and my wife had some home made pasta and i had a small filet mignon. Everything was delicious! Second only to the much more expensive and established Al di La ...it's best Italian in the neighborhood and can hold its own against the best in Manhattan. Prices are very reasonable.

I have probably tried every italian spot in park slope, and I am so glad this palce opened up. Everything I've ever had was gourmet italian cuisine with superb quality and great service. You must try this place, you wont regret it!

I checked out this place recently on a date and it was amazing. The Trio Di Crostini appetizer was delicious. I had the Straccetti Di Manzo which melted in my mouth. My date had the homemade pasta with mushrooms. I highly recommend this place and will be going back soon.
