I am always in search of and happy to support family friendly and family oriented businesses but unfortunately I was disappointed with some aspects of this place. Their prices are too high. A 10oz bottle of juice cost me $2.65. That was outrageous. My friend ordered a coffee and breakfast sandwich and it was almost $9. So if you have an unlimited budget or if you just go and drink water this place is fine but if you expect to eat food/drink beverages it will cost you A LOT. The play area is small and most toys are geared towards the 1y.o. age range. The music was GREAT! So that alone would make it worth it but I think in this economy it would be nice if the owners could find a way to cut costs and pass those costs along to their patrons.

Pros: Music was GREAT!!

Cons: Food TOO expensive

Disappointed

I was so excited to try this cafe! My girlfriend and I took our daughters age 4 for lunch on Saturday to see the drum hour. We arrived at 11:45am for a noon concert only to be told it would start until 12:30ish. We ordered food only to have coffee grounds in our coffee, a 20 min wait only to have our order be ?wrong? and my daughter?s food completely forgotten. There were no knifes or forks and had to ask already limited staff to go back to the kitchen to get a knife? We decided to be patient and wait for the show. Finally, it started and the gal who was singing was very talented and impressive. Problem: where was the age appropriate music? ?Billy Jean? and a random Neil Yong song was not grabbing the attention of the kids nor were the lyrics appropriate. When she finally started the drumming part of the show the kids did start to get engaged but too late for our daughters. I would say that I am sure the experience of the music is artisan specific and might try another venue before I say I won?t go back but I also won?t count on great service from the cafe side of the house. . . bummer! The concept has a LOT of potential!

Pros: Great concept to have a music cafe

Cons: not enough staff, not organized

Airplay Cafe is awesome, sound system is incredible. You can really hear the music and words even when the house is packed. The staff is friendly and really hustle. I was there when the place was full and they kept the line moving. Plus the room is so well designed, you can see the stage and hear perfectly even when you're ordering at the counter. Comfortable, classy, clean, family events too!

Pros: parking lot on Burnside!, family friendly, incredible sound system, cool atmosphere

This place has a nice atmosphere. If they could speed up the stand-in-line-counter service I would rate it better. Stood in line for 20 minutes just to purchase beverages. I did not eat there, but the menu selection looked simple, but decent.
