The Madison Ark is awsome!!! I was a volenteer there and I was sooo impressed. The staff was very helpful and nice, the cages were clean, the area where you walked the dogs was large and had alot of grass, and the cat area was very clean. They also had toys in the cat cages. They also helped us with identifing what kind of food they ate and the other suppplies they needed so we could donate them. They also had a dog that had 13 puppies, and the mother was allowed to come and go as she pleased, so when it was feeding time she came in and when she needed to leave she had the option. This is an awsome place. I would also like to introduce you to some of the dogs i met. The first dog I walked was Roxie, a Jack Russel. SHe was kind and very sweet. She had a good tempermat and wanted to play the whole time. The next one i walked was Ozie, a Black Lab. He was one of the biggest Labs I had ever seen!!! But also one of the sweetist. He had already been trained to walk so he never pulled, he was sweet and wanted to petted the whole time. The only bad thing was when he steped on your foot. Haha. Then there was Ernie, they think he is a collie. He was soo sweet also. He walked like a little gentalman and never barked once. He loved to be petted also, and I felt special cause he gave me a puppie hug!!! Haha. These dogs need you to help them get a home. If you are unable to have a dog, spred the word volenteer, or just donate some supplies. They could very much use your help!!!
