Great place to go before movies if you are at Pacific Culver Statium area. Atmosphere is metro, food is great, service is decent, and most of all, we were treated well.

I absolutely love Gyenari! The food is lovely and has such a great balance of east and west.... true fusion. The fresh fruit mojitos are about the best I've ever had and the space is simply gorgeous.

Just over a year old, and already the best place to eat in Culver City. Jimmy, Chris, Danny and the rest do a great job to make everyone happy. The food is great, the service impeccable, and the desserts fantastic. Come weekdays and enjoy the incredible specials at discount prices. Happy hour with tons of appetizers can't be beat.

Gyenari Korean Bbq & Lounge is one of the best restaurants I know! The food is so good, the flavors are terrific. If you like Korean BBQ, theirs is FANTASTIC. The bonchon (side dishes) are killer, the meats wonderful, the marinades to die for! Many other dishes available, too! The real secret is (promise not to tell TOO many people, at once) is the special menu from Sunday to Thursday. Reduced price (and size) items making it more affordable. Great for the whole family with special kid items.
The Lounge has a phenomenal Happy Hour menu from 4:30 to 7:30. Lots of $4.00 appetizers, great drinks (even at the regular prices) the Mango Mojito is only one of the signature drinks worth trying!
Lunch is a great time to try them as well. The Bulgogi or Short Rib Picnic Lunches are to die for! The burgers are fantastic, you have to go many times to try enough of the great food!

The Happy Hour rocks. Drinks are good and reasonably priced and the appetizers are hearty enough to make a meal out of them.
The Sunday - Thursday special dinner menu allows us to buy terrific food at reasonable prices. For $15 you can have Korean BBQ with a choice of three meats, soup, salad, lots of side dishes. The beef bulgogi is my favorite, sweet, tender, full of flavor. We never go away hungry. Usually we split two BBQ meals among two adults and a hungry 9 year old. In addition to the Korean food there is shabu shabu, delicious hamburgers, and great salads (especially the blackened salmon Cesar.
Lunch is a real treat for under $15 dollars you can have the cooked barbecue lunch with tempura, daikon broth, salad, fruit, noodles, and the small side dishes called banchan. The jap chae, noodles with vegetables and meat is absolutely delicous.
Desserts, especially the green tea donuts with raspberry buttermilk dipping sauce, are delightful.
All in all a great restaurant for both Korean BBQ aficionados and everyone else. The service is also excellent and quietly helpful.

The Korean food is flavorful and the side dishes are very fresh. The bibimbap is also quite good. However, the meat portions for the BBQ are tiny for the price. Decent place for Korean food if you don't want to go down to Koreatown.

We've been to Gyenari for a number of big family events and parties since it opened last year, and we've always been happy with the food and the service. It's a great group place because you all sit around a tabletop grill and cook your meat or veggies yourself. If you have never been to a Korean restaurant, this is a terrific place to start...friendly staff will introduce the basics of the cusine (side dishes, cooking technique), and you can always order a prepared meal if you're not in a BBQ mood--their dolsot bibimbap is particularly good (a sort of Korean chef's salad built on tasty sizzling rice).
Recently they've had some excellent family-style meal deals, but the place is also quite stylish and features a nice bar: good for a date, a party with friends, or a family outing. Definitely a go-to spot in Culver CIty's ever-widening restaurant row. Bonus: the ventilation in the place is great, so you don't walk out smelling like a grill (which is often a problem in other asian BBQ/grill places).
