Same delicious sandwiches, with parking and close enough to take 'em hot to Golden Gardens. Utterly delicious grilled onions and spicy sauce on sandwiches makes them vanish.

I had heard of Paseo's. I had heard of how delicious the midnight cuban sandwich is. I know. But I still lived here for several years with letting the lines stop me from going.
Don't make the same mistake. Actually avoid the Fremont location and go to the Ballard one, shorter lines most of the time. It's this little pink shack next to Surf Ballard with no sign that it is Paseo's. In face, the only place that it says so is on the menu posted next to the order window.
The food: I have only had the Cuban Roast sandwich, and I have craved it every day since I bit into that juicy sandwich. The meat is marinated perfectly, and the whole sandwich has a delicious spiciness to it with jalapenos and other wonderful things. It's amazing, really. I cannot describe it, you just have to go and try it.
It's a little expensive for a walk up window sandwich in my book at $8.50, but totally and completely worth it. They are decently sized sandwiches too, more than I should eat in one sitting. I have heard wonderful things about everything on the menu.
The cash register guy was also very nice.
Tip: If you walk across the street, you'll see a sign that says public beach. Just keep walking towards the water, next to a condo building, and there's a little bitty sandy beach where you can eat your sandwich in peace instead of at the picnic table area next to the restaurant.
Pros: Excellent sandwiches, pleasant service
Cons: Lines
Cuban midnight Press Sandwich I hate you. You are so tasty. You call to me when I least expect it; at work, on the open road, in my dreams, making love. You are so perfect in every way it makes me sad. If only I could be as perfect a person as you are a sandwich. Damn you Cuban Midnight Press Sandwich, damn you to hell.
Pros: Unutterably delicious
Cons: Addicting
