A wonderful place for children! In my 15+ years of taking my kids to day care & school. This place surpasses all of the day cares. The director and teachers and staff truly care about the kids. They invest a lot of attention, teaching and love in to the children and are very professional , ethical and safe. Diane & her staff are to be praised for teaching about God, Jesus, creation and for having a top notch caring environment where we can safely leave our children. Thanks Diane and Promise Land -- YOU made a BIG difference!

We love Promiseland and would recommend it to anyone that wants their child to succeed in Montessori and in life. My son has grown so much in the few short months he has attended so far. His vocabulary has sky rocketed (he was 2 1/2 when he started) and he is extremely confident in everything he does. He loves to work on puzzles and do his "practical life" work. The teachers at this school are amazing and truely care about these kids. It is a joy to have my son attend Promiseland.

I see that to the previous review how the director has responded so quickly. But she has no time to return parents phone calls. I tried to reach her 3 times, but still have not gotten any answer. How are we going to communicate with her about any of our concerns when if you ask to speak to her, her daughter tells us that she is her daughter & that the director will pretty much say the same thing so no need to talk to the director, in other words. Her daughter should have some title in the school. She is so unprofessional. This is the worst school we have dealt with & a very sad experience.

My daughter attended this place for only a few weeks before we realized that she was learning absolutely nothing here. If you are looking for a daycare, I guess this place will do. But, if you want your kids to learn something and get ready for school, stay clear of this mom-and-pop garage operation. There were kids of all ages in my daughter's class, and I think their "teachers" spent more time looking after the toddlers than trying to teach the older ones. I get the Montessori way of letting kids learn at their own pace, but there has to be at least some structure and instruction in class. Here, there was none. At her previous preschool, my daughter used to be full of new information at the end of each day. Here, she could hardly tell me anything productive she did on any given day.
The surroundings of this school are also suspect. This is a converted house, and the house next door shares a very short and flimsy fence. Anyone could jump over easily. Also, the gate that gives access to children in the yard and classrooms has a generic code to it, and half the time is left open. I never felt comfortable leaving my daughter in a place that anyone off the street could readily gain access to.
We're glad we moved to an actual school with a preschool inside. We're back to learning lots of new things, doing crafts, and having actual, certified teachers in a safe environment; rather than day care workers reading an occasional book or doing an occasional craft with the kids in someone's garage.
Do your homework, and choose wisely.

Business Response:

Director The review that you posted is not what Promiseland is about. Our teachers are certified teachers and our staff is second to none. Our facility is beautiful and well taken care of. Promiseland is well recognized for its continuing education and openness. If the staff was not aware of your feelings, then nothing could have changed or been explained. Our classes have always scored high in the academic world and Promiseland is highly recommended. For whatever reason you left, it was unfortunate that your concern was not communicated.

My preschool son goes to this school and absolutely loves it. We have noticed such a change in his development and growth..he really thrives there! He is also attending summer school and having a great time this summer doing multiple field trips a week and learning all types of new things. It is a safe and inspiring environment for him.

My son has been going to Promiseland Christian Learning Center since it has opened. He has been taught not only his letters and numbers but also life lessons. He has wonderful kind teachers that truly love their job and the children that they teach this school has really been a huge part of our lives. I was so impressed on the different lessons my son gets from traditional school lessons, stories from the bible, science, planting their own garden and being responsible for the upkeep and how to respect other people. I just can not say enough about this school and the staff. It is a great feeling knowing that my son is being well taken care of in a loving and learning environment when I am at work.

An excellent choice for early childhood school experience! Exactly what you would want for young little "sponges". Safe, bright, fun and quality classes. This quaint location is welcoming, neighborhood feeling. They offer the children early life skills, manners, some sign language, gardening, hand's on paint, puzzles, music and things that encourage them to be all they can be.You can rest assured your child is well cared for. They provide a great start to your child's first educational experience, that will last a lifetime.

My son has loved his time at Promiseland! They have a lot of fun learning. They get some hands-on learning that other schools don't always provide. For example, gardening. The kids get to plant things in a garden area and then water and weed the area while getting to watch stuff grow. The staff and teachers are great with kids. They genuinely care about the kids and their families. They have gone out of their way to help families in need this year. I would highly recommend this school to anyone!
