My wife brought her Tacori ring into an MJ on April 24, 2010 to fix the misshaping of the ring as well as replace the lost diamond from the side of the ring. After about two weeks, we were informed that Tacori has determined that the ring is defective & we need to choose a different ring to replace it. Now let me just tell you that we are dealing with my wife's engagement/wedding ring! We have been dealing with MJ Christensen located at 8980 W. Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89117, who had in turn been speaking with Tacori on a regular bases about our ring. We are very pleased with the service and the extent that MJ Christensen has gone to in order to resolve this matter. We are EXTREMELY DISPLEASED with Tacori and what they have been putting us through to this point! No where in all of our paperwork from the purchase of our original ring does it say that Tacori can void the lifetime warranty if there are any defects with the ring. It plainly states that they will honor the lifetime warranty against any manufacturers defects for the life of the ring. Tacori is refusing to fix and uphold the rings warranty. They are stating that the design has a flaw and they can not fix the problem. It will continue to have problems. Therefore, we are forced to give up our wedding ring and pick another.
Here in lies the problem. At the time of purchase we fell in love with the design, but also mentioned that it did look like it would be a problem from time to time being that it was an eternity band and the loss of diamonds and possible structural damage may and most likely will occur. We were told no worries. Tacori will stand behind their life time warranty and that should not and will not be a concern. So now here we are 6 years later and they want to eliminate the design because it is extremely flawed and can't be fixed. We purchased the ring for $4650 not including the center diamond. They want to have us pick a ring from their collection that cost $4650 because that is what we paid. Well at first we felt well we don't want another ring this is the one we love and plus it has the sentimental value as well. Against what we wanted to do we made the choice to meet with Tacori and try and make this work for all of us. When we met we looked at a bunch of different rings. We finally found something that we liked. Then we found out it cost twice as much. Now this is the funny part. The new ring is almost identical when it comes to weight in platinum and diamonds. Now these items have increased in value maybe a combined $600 to $800 dollars. So the major cost difference is what Tacori has increased their costs and markup over the last 6 years. So to stay at the same cost of what we paid 6 years ago we have to now get a ring that is significantly smaller and way less detail. Tacori to this point feels they have done more than enough to help us in this situation. MJ has contacted them and made multiple arguments in our favor to only be shot down each time. MJ is trying their best to help but we feel it is Tacori's responsibility. We have now contacted Tacori and we will see if the story changes. We will keep this post updated with any further developments. We would also like to hear from others on what they think about the situation

Pros: Warranty looks good on paper

Cons: Warranty doesn't mean anything.
