What made it uniquely bad was the service. Food was below average and had a negative effect on my stomach.
The host was very rude and unaccommodating.

Cons: Service was bad; host was short and rude; food was just OK

I just had my husband's birthday party here. We had 21 people and they accommodated us by seating us outside on their very large front patio. The atmosphere can't be beat both inside and out and the beer list is excellent -- especially if you like the craft and belgium beers. The food was very good for a bar and had something for everyone in our party all at a very low price -- $8-$12. They even had a grilled cheese sandwich with a shot of tomato bisque, so the menu had some thought put into it. My only negative thing to say is that around 9pm, the place was very crowded and there were at least 25 people smoking directly out in front of the patio in which it felt like we were doused with smoke. That and the late crowd wound up being extremely clubby and overdressed for the atmosphere. I guess it made great entertainment! Other than that, it was a great experience!

Pros: Atmosphere, beer selection, food (in that order)

Cons: The crowds gets too "clubby" after 10pm or so
