I went online and saw that they were playing Eclipse, a PG-13 movie, and I wanted to take my two teenage sons to it. It was not mentioned online that they were now 18 and up only, and it was quite a shock and disappointment after a $10 cab fare when we got there and were told we couldn't see the movie because in order to get their liquor license, they could no longer allow anyone under the age of 18 in.
This is really the only theater for people in the French Quarter, Marigny, and By-Water neighborhoods. And it's not like I was taking my kids to a midnight show--it was a 4:20 matinee. People keep talking about rebuilding this city, but if you can't even take your kids to a movie, who are we rebuilding it for? Certainly not our children.

Pros: lots of glitz and shiny things

Cons: no one under the age of 18 allowed, high prices

This movie theatre was not what I expected going into Canal Place which is very high dollar shops, etc. It was a strange "little" (literally) theatre that was cramped and concession stand was really weird, the have to prepare food for you while you wait (i.e., a "hot" pretzel has to be dipped in salt, then mircrowaved, then if you want mustard, they put it in a paper hotdog holder thingy), too weird. Just not the "typical" movie theatre that I'm used to!!! The seats were REALLY cramped and the threatre we were in was REALLY small, and FREEZING cold!!!

Pros: Convenient Location

Cons: , Cramped Theatre, Strange Place
