For being opened only 2 months, they are off to a great start. The wine list does need to be increased, the limited choices are very good.

Great ambiance but the food was not good (except for the sweet potatoes- they were fine). Flavors were all off. Salad was bland. Short ribs had sauce so sweet it tasted like dessert. We were very dissappointed as we're new to the

Cons: OUT OF BUSINESS -- CLOSED

The term 'California Cuisine' comes in quite handy when I try to explain what Netty's really is. We all drive by it on Silverlake Blvd. but only a few people actually stop to enjoy what should be labeled on of Silverlake's finest (that and the Backdoor Bakery next door...). They present their menu (which changes frequently) on a dry erase board in the kitchen, of which is where you order and then go sit down in their patio dining arrangement (which is certified as an actual patio, even though it is enclosed, which also makes it just dandy for smokers). They offer Cajun standards such as Drunken Chicken and before 5 o'clock they have some truly yummy sandwiches, which are huge and worth the $10. They also offer some much more unique dishes and in particular one of my favorites is the housemade Ravioli; totally redifined, with the fragility of an Asian dumpling, fresh ingredients on the inside and a smooth buttery creamy French sauce to compliment. They always have an excellent home-down homemade jalapeno cheese cornbread which is a side offering with a lot of the dishes, or what I call 'bread surprise' which is part of a baguette (They should get their bread from the Backdoor bakery!) filled with a garden fresh pesto. Last but not least, the deserts are well worth the try, as the taste is surprisingly artful and exotic, even if they are not presented as such.

Netty's is a hole in the wall type restaurant, with great ambiance. The service is decent and the food was fresh and brought to us in a timely manner. I would only say that some of the prices for the food seemed a little high, this is not a restaurant for monster sized portions, but the quality of the food is great. I would eat here again and recommend it to others. Get the warm shrimp salad, the vinaigrette is amazing!

Netty's is a great little spot for a great meal in Silverlake. I love the open atmosphere and the yummy food. I won't drive from West LA to eat here but I would come anytime if in the area.

lies a covered-patio dining area with plantlife painted on the exterior walls of the restaurant. This place is pretty small and I believe they mainly specialize in catering and take-out orders. The meals are hearty and delicious.

Pros: Ambience, Great area, Menu changes daily

Cons: Service is weird

Netty's is such an interesting place. You order at a counter off of a chalk-board menu. But, the dishes are always eclectic, such as blackened cajun catfish and pumpkin ravioli. Then, you're seated on their elegant covered patio, complete with white-linen tablecloths. It's a very romantic spot, filled with foliage and twinkling lights. Highly recommended for special occasions for couples.

This place was great! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Our servers were completely on top of things and our food was delicious. Although the ambiance could be a bit better, definitely worth the value. I am definitely going back again and would highly recommend to anyone.

Pros: Food, Service, Food

Cons: none

.

The service was so atrocious, it was unreal. Either the employees have been trained in the fine art of treating paying customers like dirt or they are so completely miserable that they take out their frustrations on anyone who comes in.

Do not even think about asking for separate checks or asking simple questions regarding the menu. Just go in, order, sit down and shut up. This pretty much sums up the Netty's experience. The food is overrated and I found their paella to be an incredibly poor example of one of my favorite dishes. But what really stays with me is the mean, nasty, horrible attitude behind the counter. Seriously, what is their problem?

P.S. I did write a letter explaining my experience in more detail to the owners hoping for some kind of explanation or apology but to no avail.

this place is not known for it's service. so what? neither is macdonald's, yet you still eat there.

i'm there to eat, not to make friends. don't bother them, and they won't bother you.

the food is excellent. the cajun chicken sandwich will snap you right out of your post-drunken haze. the blackened grilled snapper salad is also on point. get an orangina on the side.

this place is perfect for a saturday brunch/lunch when the sky is blue and breeze is blowing through the bamboo lined patio.

While unlikely Eastside neighborhoods such as Glendale and Montrose have spawned true gastronomic destinations (Palate Food + Wine, Bashan Restaurant), fine dining in Silver Lake has never quite reached its apex. But now that Gloria Felix…
