A & E Real Estate Svc

I have never written an online review before, but I am so disheartened by the way my husband and I were treated through A&E Realty by Erik Mark Hansen. My husband and I are expecting a child, and due to the growing size of our family decided it was time to move into a larger residence. My husband and I have rented in the Valencia area for over 4 years and have wonderful rental history as well as a stable income which more than qualified us for the home by A&E's standards. Upon receiving out completed and paid for application online, Erik was initially quite nice. After running our credit, apparently it was not as perfect as he would have liked. We completely understand that a deposit is "on approved credit" and would have been willing to put up the extra $2000 he decided he needed from us, but I have never in my life been treated as poorly as he treated us from that point forward. He would neither answer his phone, or return my phone calls. He was extremely offensive telling us at one point "Your credit is bad. Nobody else will approve you." And "I'm sorry I offended you, I should have just sent you a note saying you are declined like any other landlord would do." I do not feel that anyone should be treated with such disrespect no matter what the situation, and hope that maybe this review will help save someone some of the embarrassment and trouble we went through before deciding not to rent through Mr. Hansen.

Is a very dependable agent...Works very hard and works evenings and weekends...He almost always answers the phone too.
