Moved here recently and feel so lucky to have found Orange Olive and especially sweet Mary to do my hair. Love the color and cut. True testament of satisfaction ~~ went back for 2nd appointment 7 weeks later!!! :) Everyone I've met there is so pleasant. Highly recommend!
I got just a trim with a little shape added. I never request a stylist I just book my appointment so this was my third hair cut and my third stylist. As usual my experience was wonderful. I have come out loving every haircut (I hate to cut my hair) and loving the person who did it. All your staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
Orange Olive is located in a cozy bungalow in NoDa--and the atmosphere is equally friendly. My stylist Leigh has been cutting my hair for about a year now, and I've never been happier--from cuts to highlights. You won't feel pressured to buy anything here. You'll feel welcomed and appreciated, and you'll be surrounded by the art of local artists. Oh, did I mention warm chocolate chip cookies? If you just want a great haircut with friendly people in a comfortable, beautiful space--Orange Olive is for you.
I have made many referrals after countless compliments on my hair. I have not been disappointed once and neither have my friends. The salon fits in perfect to the NoDa neighborhood offers services and styles that cater their varied clientele. Make your next appointment with Maria and you won't be disappointed.
Love OOHG! All the girls here are amazing! It's like stepping into a warm welcoming family every time you go, unlike most stuffy salons. My hair always looks awesome everytime I leave. The ladies do an amazing job. Keep up the good work

After having a falling out with my old salon (tried charging me $140 for calling to cancel an appointment when I had food poisoning) I found Orange Olive less than a mile from my house in NoDa. This place is so cool, as soon as you walk in you see the art all over the walls (local artist that they change out quarterly) and just get a comfortable feeling from the old remolded house. I was fortunate enough to get an appointment with Amber who was such an awesome hairdresser. I could not have asked for a better person. She was so personable and a really interesting to talk to. My hair has never looked so good and I will definitely be going back to see her again. They also carry a great line of products and offer many cool services (I want the Brazilian Blowout personally). Great salon that I definitely recommend!
I live in NoDa and am so happy to have such a great salon right in our 'hood! Orange Olive is a very warm and comfortable salon, along with being funky and fun. I got one of the best hair cuts of my life from Jay! He did an amazing job, really listened to what I wanted and gave me tips on how to easily style the cut at home. Orange Olive also sells really great, eco-friendly hair products. I was also really impressed with the price...very reasonable for the quality of service. I have finally found my favorite salon/stylist and would recommend Orange Olive and Jay to anyone!

I walked into the quaint authenticity of Orange Olive, and was immediately greeted by a comforting professionalism that set the tone for an unforgettable experience. I walked in a hot mess, stressed and distressed, and left with an A-line bob that still gets raves weeks later.
Nothing impresses me more than great conversation, and a nerve-calming beverage in a uncluttered, unobstructed atmosphere as I wait for an on-time appointment.
Superstar Jay shampooed and conditioned my hair with Love (actual brand name) I drifted off to sleep to be awakened by a gentle tap and helping hand to his chair. He consulted with me on what I wanted to achieve from healthy hair to complimentary look, then snip-snipped to the new and more beautiful me. He checked in as he created every layer, and made sure that I was confident and secure with his direction.
Straggly, overprocessed, unhealthy hair transformed with lightning speed into red carpet envy under the skillful artistry of Superstar Jay!
Topping off my visit, Superstar Jay introduced me to Noda's cultural events and took the time to welcome me to Charlotte. Superstar Jay is cool and he is a HAIR MASTER!
My visit to Orange Olive was all I expected and more!
I followed Maria from another salon to Orange Olive and I have been so pleased. I'm never disappointed with Maria - she is friendly, down to earth and does a fantastic job with my hair. Orange Olive has a great atmosphere - professional but intimate. They also carry Davines hair products which are amazing.
Great salon. Cozy atmosphere. Friendly, approachable staff. Top-notch stylists who work together as a team. I've never felt more welcomed or pleased with my service at any other salon. Orange Olive is a NODA gem.
I have been to several "top-notch" Charlotte salons over the years...Orange Olive is definitely the best! The atmosphere is very warm and I felt at ease here immediately. Honestly, the shampooing experience alone was worth the $40 charge; unique, aromatic, relaxing. I felt rejuvenated for the rest of the day! Jay is my new go-to stylist, for as long as I can keep making appointments! He seemed to have an intuitive grasp of how best to cut and style my hair in a flattering way, without me having to go into a lot of detailed instructions (Finally! I am enamored!). Very impressive salon experience. I would highly recommend Orange Olive to anyone!
When I first moved to Charlotte, I was really frustrated trying to find a salon that I liked, let alone someone I would trust cutting my hair. After almost 8 months of bad haircuts at other Charlotte salons, I was guided to Orange Olive and I absolutely love it. I have really short hair that I like to change up all the time and I can count on Amber to always do an awesome job! I leave there with an amazing cut, styling tips, and new cut ideas for the future. I recommend them to anyone, they have a great staff and the hair gallery itself is so cute and comfortable.
My experience at Orange Olive has been wonderful. Maria always gives me a great and color. She is very honest and gives great suggestions with my hair. The Salon is wonderful and enjoyable.

Jay gave me a haircut that I adore:) I brought a picture, but really wanted him to cut my hair in a way that would suit my face. And he did just that! It looks great and it is easy to style.
I also appreciate the way you get an email reminder about your upcoming appointments! Very helpful:) I think I will be with this salon for quite awhile:)

I had one of those days where I was like "I need a haircut TODAY" and being relatively new to Charlotte, I had nowhere to go. The last time I followed a friend's advice I had gotten a TOTAL hackjob, so I was wary. Very wary. This salon is down the street from me, and as I was cruising around looking for a place that "caught me eye", Orange Olive stood out. I was a walk-in, and I was welcomed warmly, not made to feel like an inconvenience. Jay did a grrreat job on my unruly mop, listening to my past haircut woes, and providing really practical and simple styling advice, showing me what type of brush to use and products too. The cool thing was there was no pushiness to buy their products - and I appreciated that. He was chatty, without being inane, and in moments of amiable silence I was checking out the cool art displays on the wall - this salon features the work of local artists, a different one every month or so. These photos were outstanding. I found the price very reasonable for a salon ($40) plus tip. Plus they bake their own cookies. Hello? Heaven? I'm totally going back.

Not only did Jay gave my hair a fantastic colour and cut but he was entertaining, great to talk to and showed me in detail how to get the same results at home. He took his time and convinced me to try something I wasn't planning on and I am very happy with the results.
The whole team here is very friendly and I would recommend the salon to anyone wanting a modern trendy cut to a more classic style. Easy parking, and the handy location in Noda means easy co-ordination with lunch, dinner or a gallery crawl!
Looking forward to my next visit already. Very reasonable prices as well!

My fave salon in town, Orange Olive never fails to deliver. I've been going here for a year now, even had my wedding hair and makeup done here and it is always perfect. I had been getting my hair done by Kristin, but she's no longer there so I'm going to try Sabrina this time.
I even managed to talk my husband into going here and he loves it too! :)

This is truly a unique salon. The color's are beautiful, when you walk into the salon you just feel happier and better about yourself. The employee's are all so friendly and they do EXCELLENT quality haircuts, highlights, styles, you name it they do it an amazing job! This is also the only salon I have seen in Charlotte that has hair dryer's hanging from the ceiling what a nice touch!!!! Get your hair done at The Orange Olive Hair Gallery you will be SO glad you did! I love it!!!
