Me and my roommates have been meaning to try Fig Tree Cafe for a while, we keep hearing great things about the place. Yesterday we decided to go there for a late breakfast (had a few too many last night...). When we arrived there was a bit of a wait to get in, the restaurant was buzzing with a really cool vibe of locals enjoying themselves: we were optimistic...
When our names were called we followed the hostess to our tables and awaited our server. I ordered the mexican mocha and my roomie ordered a regular coffee: both really good. I tried the (organic) coffee and it was super tasty (and this is coming from someone who generally doesn't like regular drip coffee).
I ordered the stuffed french toast with mangos and strawberries....OMG; the best French toast I've ever had hands down! Rommie ordered the house made granola with house made yoghurt; also really good!

Overall: Super cute place, friendly service, awesome food: 5+++ stars

Delicious food ! A friend used this restaurant to cater her party and the food was unbelievable ! I ate at the restaurant a week later, the roast chicken club was to die for ! I drove by recently and unfortunately the restaurant is closed for winter :(

This fairly new breakfast and lunch restaurant has mainly outdoor seating under 3-4 beautiful ficus trees and surrounded by a white picket fence. The menu consists of some classics such as eggs benedicts, french toast, pancakes and omelets, and of course; some specialties such as the organic "windnsea omelet". Service was great and the ambiance was just amazing, but what will make me come back the most is the great food!

Pros: Fresh ingredients = great food

Cons: Not open enough
