Buffet style brunch with an endless selection of foods to please every palette. Very relaxed and uber chic atmosphere. My favorites were the made to order eggs, omelets and waffles, baked macaroni & cheese, shrimp cocktail and the pasta salad. Others enjoyed the lox topped potato pancakes and the oyster/clam raw bar. The desserts were quite tasty, the lemon squares and brownies in particular. The orange juice was freshly squeezed and is included with the per person rate (also included is milk, water, coffee, cranberry and apple juice). The service was impeccable, waiter and busboys were very attentive, always near to refill coffee/juice and kept the tables clear. I should mention that this was a birthday celebration with a party of 12 persons. There was plenty of space for all of us.

Pros: reasonable price, large selection + good quality food

Cons: no flat free for special beverages (ie:mimosas, smoothies)

Incredibly gorgeous, wonderful wait staff, delicious drinks - what else could you ask for? This is one of the best lounges I have ever been to. I don't think I've ever been attended to in such a polite and professional way. YOU MUST GO!

Pros: Everything!

Cons: Nothing

The worst bar experience I've had in the 10 yrs I've lived here. The staff was overtly hostile. The service could not have been slower, even when there's hardly anyone there. The drinks sounded creative and interesting but actually tasted really bad. Two different drinks I ordered were literally undrinkable, even with valiant effort. I don't get it. This place is old and tired and tacky inside -- so what's with all the attitude? I wanted to like it there because I like Tribeca. I really tried. But there were just no redeeming qualities at all.

I had not been into Tribeca Grand Hotel in a while but, recently was drawn in by a friend to attend an Art Brut show... Anyway, I really enjoyed the cocktails- a bartender told me that there is a completely new list... something like 30 signature drinks! I had a royal gin fizz with egg whites and some fancy gin and fresh lemon and sugar syrup- so simple yet tasty. There was also a cool cocktail with a bison grass vodka mixed with black currants... really good! I am told that bison grass is an aphrodisiac? Last cocktail of the night was something called a Five Spice- cognac and calvados, with cherry puree and ginger... really a great, complex (lots going on) cocktail.
After three drinks I was feeling good, so I switched to wine... pleasantly surprised with the selection. I drank a glass of a really old vine grenache.

Pros: cocktails, wine, bartender knowledge

The service is beyond slow. They just ignore you, and have terrible attitude. The food and drinks are overpriced and lousy. If you want to go somewhere decent, look elsewhere, especially if you're coming in the early evening for a pleasant drink.

If by "trendy" they mean lots of girls looking like escorts from the late eighties and lots of men wearing black mock turtlenecks and ogling the gilrs, then this is the epitome of trendiness. This place is horrendous! Overpriced and poorly prepared drinks served in an acoustical nightmare of a space is not my idea of a good time. The 300lb goons in head to toe black are watching your every move from every corner of this space does not add neither comfort nor coolness. This Las Vegas like bar is not what NYC is all about.

I have been to bars all over the world and never been treated as poorly as I was by this staff at this joke of a trendy lounge. Even though the place was empty, the bouncers kept pushing people into a corner. I met up with friends there who were there for a party of 25 people. I did not know most of them and they would not allow us to buy drinks either with cash or a separate tab if we wanted to "hang out" in the same area as the party, instead insisting that we put all our drinks on one tab and settle at the end. The manager was just as rude and the drinks were overpriced. I will NEVER go back to this dump.

It can be the trendiest place in the world but when you can't go into a place that treats their customers with respect, you know you'll have to pass on it.

Pros: Ambience, Pretty Empty

Cons: , Disrespectful, Expensive

Great food; lovely setting. We visited the restaurant for a Sunday brunch and we had fun. The food was great; especially the shrimp salad. The line for omelettes was a little long but they were delicious. The screening room kepy my 7 year old occupied and she had a lot of food to shoose from.
My only complaint was with the mojito; not great and expensive.

A $12 drink has become a standard at the more chic places so it didn't surprise me when the bill came. But I guess you pay for the priviledge to sit under the soaring ceiling of the hotel. A good place to hang with friends and people watch as long as you don't mind dropping some duckets.

I would like to make a rating of this place, but I'm afraid my friends and I never made it inside. We were told they were only letting people in as they came out. We stood in line about 1/2 hour of standing in the front of line and swarms of people had left but still no entrance. The lucky few who whispered the right thing to the red headed door person "Meagan" got entered in before us. I think they need to pay our gal "Meg" a bit more since obviously she needs to make extra cash by letting these people in and judging by her horrendous outfit and galosher type boots she doesn't get paid well.

Cons: Rude service, Unprofessinalism

Being a New Yorker, its nothing i've never seen before. I like the fact that you can go chill and relax w/ friends or a date. The bartender service is shady. If you have big breast then you get quick attention. If not, just be patient. If you feel like you didn't receive decent service. Don't tip. And don't trip.

The music, that night was good though. And the place wasn't even close to being crowded.

Pros: Nice Environment, Good music @ times

Cons: Bartenders need to, step up with better, service/attentiveness

The setting is very attractive (it's a huge lounge in the middle of the new Tribeca Grand hotel). The prices are of course expensive, but the drinks are good. The service is lacking, and it wasn't even crowded when we went. I went after work one day, and it was pretty empty. There were some older hotel guests and some wallstreeters, but I hear that it is much more "sceney" later on.

Hey ... it is in a chic hotel ... so you know exactly what it is going to be like (expensive, suspect service) and what the crowd is going to be like (maybe snooty, sometimes) before you ever go in ... if you know all that and still want to go ... this is the place to do it!

The service is terrible! If you want to spend $8-12 per drink, there are plenty of other shi-shi places that serve you. The bartenders (all men) spend more time lighting candles, cleaning the bar, looking at their hair, serving women trying to look like models, then tending to patrons. The decor is nice, but the crowd and service extinguish any pleasantries you first experience when walking down into the lounge. This place tries way to hard to be cool. If you're not from New York, don't bother, and if you are from New York and you haven't been, don't bother. No matter how much money you intend to spend, it's a waste of time.
