Pros: best burgers

Cons: too many cute girls

.

An Irish bar with lots of TVs. This, as you might expect, draws plenty of meatheads and their friends, but they stay in front and are rather harmless. Not too loud for conversation, the bar has a full menu, though nothing we tried was spectacular. The staff was very kind and accommodating. Jess, our waitress, went out of her way to be friendly and take care of our small group.

Evidently, the management is extremely tolerant. We sat in the smallish back room where a group of gentlemen left after TEN HOURS in the place. No complaints from the waitstaff... In fact they got a hug on the way out. The bar isn't special, but it's a good place for a beer, some grub and conversation. That's something sorely lacking in Midtown New York.

Pros: Friendly staff

Cons: Usual jocks in Front

I work with The Turn, a band whose two frontmen perform as an acoustic duo every week at the Pig 'n' Whistle on 2nd, and it's always a great time. The staff is warm, welcoming, and accommodating and the management promotes a hospitable atmosphere and a comfortable environment for both the musicians and the patrons. They serve excellent food at reasonable prices and always with a smile. I always look forward to our visits to the Pig on 2.
