Terrible experience here. If you have a big group --AVOID - I had a party here and it was a complete disaster.

              1. They gave me one waitress for 30 people.
              2. I basically had no contact person. I kept trying to find out who the main

Poco just seems too cute to resist. I walked inside and really loved the hardwood decor and latin design. But I am not digging the fact that it is over 90 degrees out and all they had on were weak fans.

I come here after I play ball, and although I dont fit in with the cool crowd, they let me do my thing. I just drink beers and chill to relaz after the game. I had a tripple double and then the same ammount of beers. Or so it seemed. I like this place for sure, I will come back for the peeps and the brews.

I found this place because I did an accidental search online and thi scame up. I read about it online and although some people didnt like it, I did. It was sweet and cool. And I like the idea of sitting (almost)outside. It is now my favorite east village bar. The food is decent and the club scene is cool too. Awesome time

I came on a Wednesday night with my girlfriend. We were the only ones there. The waiter was busy conversing with the bartender. It took half hour for our drinks to arrive. My girlfriend asked for a glass of water, the waiter replied "one sec!" and continued talking to the bartender. Our meals took forever to arrive. By the time it came, we had lost our appetites! Absolutely ridiculous!! I do not recommend this place at all.

This place is an over-priced dive that seems to be run by strippers and druggies [literally.]
We were a party of 4 that ordered 3 cocktails and a beer along with 2 burgers and the duck confit. My date (a Hostess at a reputable place in midtown) told the waiter the "fresh" lime in her drink wasn't quite so "fresh" to which the waiter replied "yes it is" and walked away. That was it.
15 minutes later another waiter asks if we want another drink to which we replied NO (since we hadn't touched the ones we had in front of us) we'd just like the check for our drinks because the food's taking too long.
It's definitely time to leave, forget the check. I'm not paying to stare at horrible drinks made with sub-par ingredients and cop a bad attitude from from the "staff/owner."
This place gets one star because I can't review it without giving it at least one star.....

i like the ambiance here and it has added to the great scene on this block of avenue b.
however, for the sake of hoping that this place sticks around here is my recommendation, if the management is listening - your drinks are TOO EXPENSIVE! every time i've been, each drink is overfilled with ice, resulting in about 2 gulps of drink itself, which amounts to about 2 teaspoons of alcohol. All for the bargain price of $12 each. And the service is waaay slow - took like 15 mins to get each drink.

hope you guys improve this!! it would be good to see you stick around.

Drastically overpriced, miserable service. They had a big sign outside that said "BRUNCH SPECIALS!" so we wandered in. We were the only table in the restaurant, yet it took some time to get menus. I asked what the specials were, and the waiter said they had none. I pointed to the sign outside and he said, "Let me check," started to walk to the kitchen, then said, "Oh, it's our B III sandwich," and described a sandwich that was already described on the menu in my hands. I ordered a mimosa but they were out of prosecco, and had nothing to substitute. My boyfriend ordered a bloody mary, which was tasty, but small and with no garnish or special ingredients - $12. We ordered two coffees, and the waiter spilled milk all over my lap - still charged me for the coffee. Also, it was soy milk, but the waiter said it wasn't. No water, no bread, 2 omelets, 2 coffees and a bloody mary for $39. No wonder the place was empty.

              Message from Poco - NYC

Poco was built for one purpose—to be home away from home for the local residents of NYC's most unique, authentic neighborhood—Alphabet City. Our goal is to make everyone feel welcome and ensure they have a great dining and social experience.

We've had an incredible run. Over the past eight years, we've been serving the neighborhood our legendary brunch and tapas style dinner. Word got out and people from faraway places like Yorkville, Hell's Kitchen and Park Slope have been venturing in for our signature dishes including the Lobster Mac and Cheese, the Mushroom Truffle Croquettes and the award winning vegan Smoked Truffle Mac & Cheese.
