Doubles is your screen name and Cheers, I almost guarantee that the 2 of you are friends and not a students there? You must be part of the immature, under-qualified staff that goes out drinking on school nights and comes in hungover

In response the the ridiculous comment about Paul Mitchell the school. I am floored by the ignorance of this comment. First of all, the tuition is not $25000.00. It is $15,500, which is less than every cosmo school in the city with the one exception. If that person took out a private loan with Sallie Mae, than their issue is with SM, not the school. The school does not get to decide how much SM charges in interest. Secondly, I personally think staff is very helpful. Of course, it is school, and sometimes school isn't always singing and dancing. However, there is not another cosmo school in Indpls that can give you the education this school can and the placement rate is almost untouchable. I think this person should go back to the "friend" and get the real truth. Lastly, Paul Mitchell the school is a Corportate school with National Accrediation. They would never be able to pull off the kind of communist action you speak of, such as throwing people out, who they feel don't think fit in. They would be federally reprerimanded. I think is so sad and actually kinda pathetic that someone who has a beef with an instructor would want to have a "friend" post such negative lies about an entire enity.
That school is more than bells and whistles. But you don't have to take my word. Ask anyone in the Industry. Call any salon or ask any platform artist.
But if you are looking to work at the corner salon inside your local supermarket, than maybe you are right. That school was probably not the right fit for your "friend:

Ok, so yeah, like I'm a student at PMTS Indy.

Seriously, as a current student at PMTS the things you will find in the first review are unfounded. First of all, it was his "friend" that went to school there, not "him".

Secondly, the staff are not snobish, eletist or unprofessional. They are there to do a job which is to teach people to be amazing hair stylists, not just run of the mill. It is an Elite school though.

That I am aware of no one has ever been "ejected" from the school for any reason, though there are written reasons that they could be to which we were all made aware on our very first day of class and when we took the tour.

Loans are not granted by PMTS, they are granted by the same company that grants all student loans, the federal government. If someone is late with their payments (10.00 per month while in school) that is their problem and has no reflection on the school. I find it impossible that in less than 2 years time someone could have surpassed 100,000.00 in a loan generated for attendance at PMTS. Tuition is less than 20,000.00, so if anyone is owing that much money it has far more to do than with PMTS.

I have found the staff more than willing to help a student through any challenge they may have along the way and have made exceptions for situations as they see fit.

PTMS has a culture, and it seems that this person could not find their place in that culture and rather than be truthful to her friend she would rather make up lies than tell the truth.

There are three sides to every story his, hers and the truth. I urge anyone who wishes to obtain a license in cosmetology to visit the school for a tour and make the decision for themselves. It's a top notch education at a more reasonable rate than any school.

Cheers!!

Yeah,

I had a friend that went to school at the school inIndianapolis. She said the school was political and the teachers engaged regularly in group harasment of some of the "out" or less popular students. She said the teachers and faculty were unprofessional, eletist and snoby and it reflected in the work and attitudes of the students.

She completed the "entire" program with all the expensive bells and wissles. She is in the process of paying back the over $25,000 in loans incured while in attendance. Oh, if you take out loans with the school, you should check the intrest thay plan to charge you after you hopefuly graduate. I've heard horror stories of some student loans jacking up to over $100,000.00 with outrageous intrest and penaties for late pay ect ect ect.. Don't be blinded by the lights camera action; Paul Mitchell is a mega international multi-million dollar corperation. They are out to make money first and foremost.

Also, some of the students have to restart the program if their attendance is not nearly perfect. Oh, she has also seen other less popular students ejected from the program with out reasonable cause because they didn't bow down to the demanding, rude, tyranical management the lords over the establishment at Paul Mitchell the School Indy. If they object, they are told to read the fine print. They can't even litigate. They are directed to mediation with the company. And when you sign the contract you better grin and bear what ever they decide to do to you becase you are required the pay the $25,000.00 plus any intrest by law even if you don't finish the training or get a licence to practice cosmetology.

P.S. If you find youself being bullied, if you protest mal treatment at all, and the management doesn't seem all that concerned by your protests about being bullied, its a safe bet you'll never hold any signifigant roll in the company even if you do perservere and actualy graduate.

And lastly, there is nothing more pathetic than watching a 45 year old woman in JPMS' Employ with bleach blond hair, in a corset, knee high ass tight mini skirt, and knee high leather boots ganging up with six to eight other students ages 18, 19, 20, and 21 against a single student who has made a life choice not to be a party to the gang bully hipocrate mentality at PMS.
