To start Im just going to say they get one star because putting no stars was not an option. This temp agency was the worst place I have ever worked for. First off they only ever have Amazon warehouse jobs available. Secondly you show up for orientation/safetyschool only to be told they ordered too many people. So your start date is delayed by about two weeks to a month. So finally you get in and they put you through safety school which is a joke because they DO NOT enforce these rules and procedures at all. The job I worked was in the customer outbound department which meant our orders were shipped directly to customers. It consisted of 4 different tasks, 1. Picking. By using a handheld RF terminal you went from location to location as the terminal indicated, picked items ,scanned them, put them on the cart. Heres the fun of it,Most of the time the items were 500 feet away from one another so you had to run down the halls to get the items within a reasonable time or you would be flagged by integrity coaches for idling. Combine that with the fact in the summer the warehouse exceeds temperatures of 90 degrees. There were numerous cases of people passing out from heatstroke. 2. Packing. This consisted of packing the picked items in a single or multi order. You were expected to pack 92 small items in an hour. Needless to say with the process of scan the item, choose the box, fill box with dunnage, tapebox, scan spoo sticker and send it down it almost was impossible for people to achieve their rates. Stopping to get a drink meant not achieving quota. 3. Rebin. Rebin was probally the dumbest thing about it. You took picked multi orders and scanned them and put them onto a different cart. For what purpose Im not sure but the expected rate was 500 small items per hour. If you had carts of medium or large items then you mathematically had no chance to achieve this.4. waterspider/scan pack. While this task may not have a quota it is definitely the worst. It involved scanning boxes, printing, shipping labels, and palletizing the boxes. BY YOURSELF. You would routinely have 6 to 8 packers and only one Waterspide. Now that's merely the job part of it. The integrity staff and coaches were a nightmare. Coaches would routinely interrupt you daily to inform you of your points or production for the week and tell you to do better when they have never worked that job themselves. Also as Ive seen from other posts points and approved time off slips or even medical leaves were constantly getting mixed up. Whenever you asked an integrity staff about it they immediately threatened you with termination. Actual Amazon employees or blue badges walked around with their heads held high and would not help anyone with anything. Plus if they ffer you a job through the company and you turn it down they immediately go on a witch hunt for a reason to terminate you. That's what happened to me. Not that Im complaining about that. I work in a hospital now and that job is infinitely harder tha amazon so I don't mind hard work. I just despise being treated like a slave. If you have no education, and or have kids to support then I would recommend this job. Or if you want to teach your kids a lesson in life to get off the couch and go back to school then send them here. This place is awful hands down.
